This was not a drill...it was i guess a test. First the top floor went off then the bottom floor then the out side alarms until the building next to this one started to go off. In other words, it was spreading.
My school has Wheelock MTs, 7200Ts on low, and Edwards Adaptahorns, all on continuous, and they're all not loud at all; most classrooms have no alarms inside. Some portables have either Edwards Genesis and others have Mircom Select-a-horns; they used to have on code-3 but are now on continuous.
Hello Connor, many times some kid will pull the alarm on first day of school to get out of it or delay the opening of school for the first day, how are you liking the new school soo far? i like the modern design of the outside of the building, what brands of closers used here??? -Jess
Well I found out that they were just testing that part of the system because in the past it was having some problems. It actually has had problems since they first installed it. Who knows what it is. I got this on camera becau it was during lunch and we get to have phones and such out. I am living the new school so far. Thanks! Yes, I like the design too but it is a lot older than it looks; it is actually 20 years old and it has survived without one remodle.
Quickly start the camera on your phone and hold it as you would casually in your hand by your side, but try your best to aim the camera upward. Our school allows us to have phones out during break and lunch and this drill was right as break was ending so the teachers really don't care if they see phones as long as their not being used.
Oh and for the closers. They are the same as the middle schools because it is the same complex and I will upload a video sometime soon. They are Sargent door closers. Not a clue of the model but I'm sure you'el figure it out when I do the video. These are the same ones that I fixed at the middle school on gym. (The one that I fixed, the arm was pulled into two pieces like someone was hanging on it. As a result, the rivet is now missing but it hasn't broken again since it was broken) -Connor
Well, my phone was sitting on my desk when the alarms went off so I quickly slid up the screen and started recording. I didn't get in trouble because I was holding my phone like I would casually. Oh I should mention that teachers are a little flexible when it comes to phones because we are allowed to have phones out during break and lunch and this drill was minutes after break.
