Testing of various EST Fire Alarms. Alarms tested in this Video: EST Genesis Horn Strobe EST Genesis Chime EST Genesis Ceiling Speaker Strobe Thanks for watching! Happy Thanksgiving
My school’s fire alarm is similar, it goes “Woop, Woop, May I have your attention please, there has been a fire alarm reported in the building, please exit the building”
Could someone pls answer this question, it would help me understand. Why does it seem like all speaker strobes have a buzzing, ringing, or white type noise whenever there’s a voice evac message? Do they have to put a recording into the alarm?
A voice evac alarm is basically a PA speaker with a strobe. The person programming the system picks what recording they want to use for the system. Any buzzing or loud tone is usually in the recording to get people attention so people can listen to the instructions.
You can put a piece of tape over the speaker of the alarm to make it so It will not be so loud. I had family home and didn't want to cause a disturbance but having it go full blast. Plus I was in a small room and wanted to protect my hearing.
If you guys want to know where I got that Fire Alarm Audio towards the end I will leave the link to the video. The Middle school that I went to had major renovations and construction going on and they got a new Fire Alarm system so I took a audio video of it. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yv_kaGvPqag.html
Where is the high quality video/file for the message you played near the end? “May I have your attention please? May I have your attention please? A fire has been reported in the building. A fire has been reported in the building. Please proceed to the nearest exit and leave the building. Do not use the elevator, but proceed to the nearest exit and leave the building.” It’s not the same message you linked above, it sounds different.
