Slight Spoiler Warning Pud sucks, but in the best way. I hate the council, their minions, and basically the whole place. It feels unfair for the players after todays session, but that’s oftentimes the reality of what happens in D&D and real life. Can’t wait to see how the players get out of this and rise above. Also, props to Monty for fantastic writing and storytelling as well. She’s always been talented at those two things since campaign 1, but ever since campaign 2 started, she has really shined.

I feel like Isqan and Milo are definitely going to have words when they meet up after this. The alarm going off first was the worst case scenario but the enemies rolling so good definitely made things worse. Guess it is time to put together a rescue mission next session

Usually don’t post on the YT uploads, but decided to do so on this one. I really liked this episode, not so much them getting their asses kicked, so much as all the potential juicy narrative fallout that will occur afterwards. *rubs hands evilly* While there is something to be said about the group not having a proper escape plan thought out in advance and not necessarily scoping the place out beforehand as well, the biggest reason for their downfall was the same as the infamous Boat Incident of C1: **they were rolling like garbage a good portion of the time, while their enemies were not, and were rolling really WELL.** Unfortunately, there’s nothing that can really be done about that, short of a blood sacrifice or two and even then… There was maybe only one thing that I actually have gripes about: when Otho held one of the Knights hostage. It was a very good narrative moment where Otho finally decided to put his pride and strict adherence to the law to the side in favor of trying to ensure his comrades’ safety. Unfortunately, that moment lasted all of a single turn against a single enemy, before the other enemies shut it down by reminding everybody that they have healing magic. Now, I’m not so much irritated with the hostage thing being shut down by the Knights, so much as I am that it was over almost instantaneously and didn’t really do all that much. That IRKED me, but I will once again put that down to the Knights rolling really well. That being said, I do still hope that it yields some sort of juicy narrative fruit, particularly in regards to Otho. I’m practically salivating in anticipation of the next episode and what it will bring, both good and bad. Will a new guest show up to help save the day or will the Reclaimers figure this shit on their own? Either way, it should be good!

On the last episode of the Unexpectables. Ky sets off a breaching charge, Gaius hookshots, Isqan stands firm, Otho goes criminal and Milo sees a sign. Big spoiler talk below. You have been warned. Boy, what a successful mission! Speaking honestly thougy, I just don't think I can be too hard on anyone for today. This type of situation (plans going awry or malformed, dice failing) is universal to any table. If anything, for nervous players/watchers like us, I hope that this session is seen as encouraging as it can happen to everyone. I look forward to the simultanious combination of Enies Lobby and Impel Down arcs for the Reclaimers. I believe in them!

This was one of the most nail-biting episodes in either campaign, and gave me flashbacks to some of my own desperate stands in D&D. Happy we finally got to see one of the mystery potions in use, here's hoping Gaius gets to use that electric blue one and that unlike Otho's, it doesn't have a major con 🤣🤣🤣

However the boat incident I think was an impossible to win encounter, while with this they definitely had a chance to escape but their rolls were very unlucky and all the guards were rolling hot. I'm VERY interested to see how things turn out from here. One of the things I like about watching dnd campaigns is that the characters always have a real chance of failure. Which makes everything even more tense and interesting to watch. Don't think anyone is going to die though, at least I hope so. Also Milo and Ky being the two to escape at the end is very interesting. They don't have a lot of interactions usually and when they do they tend to be at odds sometimes so next session is going to be very fun.

Okay knowing now how the teleportation rules work, Remember you have an entire village of skeletons they're undead they don't need to breathe and they don't need to actually be able to fight just make it look like they can fight and maybe you can intimidate the rest for a prison trade?

Well, something like this always happens at least once in a campagin. Never a great feeling to end a session on though. "Well the thing we were looking for wasn't even there and we got our asses handed to us"

Oh boy this episode was intense, and for some reason gave me flashbacks to campaign one and "the boat" incident

above game, this episode is definitely gonna be a contender for most stressful time, in game though? from otho finding the orb, then IMMEDIATELY getting spotted, to the entire sequence of events here, this is a narrative GOLD MINE and you'd think it was prewritten in how satisfying the beats are, cant wait for next episode, and hi Bosco if you made it this far

Oh man did this episode of the campaign kinda give me some slight flashbacks to Episode 67 from Campaign 1 with the way it ended (slight spoiler). Can't wait to see how they handle things in the next one.

I feel like the deadline to go find orb in the werehouse was like 1 day after Otho, and Milo talked with the council. They had a great idea but it was excuted too late and it felt pretty obvious at least two session ago

I think Monty became confused about Shatter’s range. If it’s a 10 ft radius then it’s 20 ft across the whole area. She only opened up a 10 ft area when she should have opened up a 20 ft hole.

1:03:12 I At some point, our group started relaying health left as chicken nuggets. If it's a tiny bit missing, we'll talk about nibbles taken out of a chicken nugget. If it's a significant loss, we'll say how many nuggets are remaining out of a 10 piece. So while it's a lot of health missing, it's easy nugget math at least.

WHOOO I just got caught up this morning and the next episode drops!!!

well this had to eventually go the way it went. you guys where rolling hot as hell the last dozen sessions, probability had to get back at some point. i hit my bingo 3 times today just cause but even then monty rolled like an actual god too. Spoilers the second you guys decided to invade a warehouse where the orb might have been removed anyways already was risky as hell but i am probably more pained by not planning a proper escape route as characters before splitting up and searching for the orb, there is of course also the silly resilience of a Roof somehow taking on an explosion at point blank and stuff like Structural integrity and Shatter it shouldn't have been too hard at all if its not well maintained Castle walls or Doors with inflated stats like they tend to have. that's probably just more me as i usually refuse to go hail marry as i am naturally a shit roller and rather plan but i am sure they learned to not go too leisurely into the next conflicts just because they did well in the previous sessions and Arcs. On a positive note. Characters made hard decisions when realizing the noose gets tight and will have to deal with that in future sessions which can result in interesting dialog and Narratively the tensions are high and it fits the Group to run eventually into things challenging their Creeds.

Rough situation my dudes! However the space for roleplay opportunities, possibilities of learning more on the inside, and at least milo got out with the poison. Good session guys, I can't wait til wednesday!

SPOILERS THIS SESS AND C1 LEMME GEEK SIGH. THIS WAS GREAT. THIS WAS WONDERFUL. EVERYTHING IS FINE. SIGH. another sess I got to watch live all the way through, and I didn't skip the break this time! DUDE YEESh! I saw someone in live chat talking about how the odds really stacked up. But I do have to show my favor, I'm all for scary player combat if it leds to PLOT AND CHARACTER MOMENTS YES. Because at the end of the day it's what my writer heart yerns for. I'm not too into combat sessions, it's usually my least favorite part, and it was for a bit, BUT THEN IT STARTED GIVING ME C1 BOAT FIGHT FLASHBACKS AND NO. I WAS NOT MENTALLY PREPARED FOR THAT. Especially when it started winding down, and it became clear they all wouldn't escape. HOPING FOR GUEST CHARACTER MAYBE NEXT SESS, brothers are separated. That's another thing! Very interested to see how this goes with Otho and Ky. Otho being escaped captive and all that, and Ky losing his brother again. Still! Milo and Ky on the run.. what will they do?? like 10knights who have an ac of 18 and 52 hp plus 2 Stone defender's is wild as there legit is the only option to run away your not killing your way out of this so the ending was absolutely understandable i even went as far as to put this into the DND beyond Difficulty calculator this encounter was considered DEADLY with 5 players all the way up to lvl 13 players were it only just barely dropped down into Hard
