In real life fire ants can bridge over gaps that don’t have water but it adds to the challenge, Or even if fire ants are lvl 3 they can bridge over open gaps.

I imagine it's a coding/ai thing more than anything, if your group is fairly dispersed and some take the ground route and some do the bridge route but there's not enough ants to make the bridge it's all going to get a little messy.

I was excited for the demo except I didn't do it first thing because primarily it looked hard from the streams and stuff so I just did the extra level until the next day, I also had that glitch where they walked on water, oh and they kind of need to fix the thing where an ant forms the bridge on land I think that would be helpful.

In real life, nothing beats fire ants. Wherever they spread, they drive all other ant species out.

I remember searching the next ants after the fire ants and if I am not mistaken they have a special ant that heals wounds of the ants when they are wounded in the battle with the termites so maybe JUST maybe the next ant is a healing ant probably wrong but yeah that’s what I think anyways

You're not wrong, the 5th species is going to be Matabele ants and it's already confirmed that they'll have a medic

Yeah the Matabele ants are gonna be quite interesting. They also raid termites too so I wonder how that will work.

It is for now, they'll be the 4th tier species with their own missions later but there's no release date for that yet

I would also like to point out, to check how much food you have fairly often. Seeing as in you don't pay much attention to how much food you actully have.

Thanks flame, I was probably paying more attention than it seemed, I was quite happy to burn through more food than I normally would as the fights didn't seem to result in too many deaths (as long as the bombardier spray was managed)

I have managed to do this on insane. Once you have got about 40 ants in one group get a second group of at about 30. Then as soon as the flood comes get the smaller group to stay outside the spawn point on the top Beatle island to kill them as they come out while the other group can get all the food. You can then get more and more the next few nights

I love fire ants they are most legendary ants stinging ants like that🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🔴 but baronvongames upload it yesterday? There was a bombardier beetle but u got workers or not need soldier and more walker

Use mass workers at bridges instead with that you can build much more units for the bridges and secure the right amount of soldiers instead of wasted soldiers at bridges so you can had more chances at fighting the others and father faster too also at the ants bridge to worms. Worms can be taken by workers instead as they are harmless and workers speed will help lot at gathering speed so you can bad chances of collecting the food from two zones instead of one as one by one in the same day

Yea using extra workers to gather food would be a sensible idea, I suspect it would be more important on the higher difficulties as well. Interesting idea using worker bridge crews, would need a lot more workers as they don't span as far per ant. Might be something to bear in mind for Tier 4, I think the relatively limited nest space in this demo would lead me to focusing on soldiers still.

Hey, did you know. When you upgrade Fire Ants nursery tile, you get more ants. Here what devs says about it "...At tier 3, soldier tiles will be able to hatch 2 ants instead of 1. "

Absolutely! of course it would have been great to have this a year ago but none the less, it all feels so different and new, the new swamp level and multitude of creatures are utterly stunning and similar to the leafcutters you need to rethink how to approach playing.
