next trick: hide most of the attachment loop inside so as to look less like a pacifier. though i guess maybe such a kawaii dragon fits well with the binky-wearing look.
Yep, the trick, for those who might be new to crochet and come by your comment) is to pull those yarn threads through the center before you finish the head from the "wrong" side, so the big knot is hidden inside. Though, it would even look cute with an actual crochet binky/dummy because that dragon looks everything the cute little baby dwagon (yes, I spelled that with a "w" on purpose, because it's that cute...lol). I'd probably even crochet a nappy/diaper for it for extra cuteness. 💙 Weird, but fun fact, in Canada a binky is known by a few names, but the one that gets me is "sugar tit" don't ask me why they call it that, because I have NO idea...lol! Anyone from Canada that knows, please provide the origin/history, as I'm super curious! lol! I have my theories though, but I want to hear from a Canadian! 💖
@@FujishimaAkiko In Canada, a “sugar tit” is a folk name for a baby pacifier or dummy. It was once commonly made and used in North America and Britain. The sugar tit was created by placing a spoonful of sugar or honey in a small patch of clean cloth, then gathering the cloth around the sugar and twisting it to form a bulb. The bulb was secured with twine or a rubber band. When used, the baby’s saliva would slowly dissolve the sugar in the bulb. (I'm not Canadian, I'm British but it is both a Canadian and British old word like mentioned :>)
@@khumbatheskeleton I know what "sugar tit" means in Canada when it comes to it being a pacifier/dummy. But, it's not a term I ever heard growing up in the US. It's clearly older than my time even though I'm nearly 47 years of age. Thanks for the other information, very interesting! I found the term funny though because back in the day, they used to call my little cousin "Sugar Shit" and I just remember having to go to church when it came to my father's family. Well, it was my little cousin's first time going to church, as he had just turned 5. And you know how they often will ask new people to introduce themselves, depending on the church? Well, my little cousin had been called "Sugar Shit" so much and so often the little guy thought it was his name. So when it came time to introduce himself, he puffed his little chest up, pointed his face to the ceiling and said with his whole chest.. "SUGAR SHIT!", the congregation broke into uncontrolled laughter, and even the pastor was sucking his lips in between his teeth trying not to laugh...lol! It's weird how some random things can bring back old memories. EDIT: Fixed a typo
The idea of making your own little dragon is very charming, but personally I don't have the brain to learn new things, especially knowing how difficult crochet is xp

@@OurFavoriteGreenHatBoy its like every single girl is making those dragons, its like an infinite loop where every girl is like "OO! a paper!!! i am gonna put it on my hand and like RAHHH!!!!!" even if i press "do not recommend videos from this channel" there are still same videos with same idea from other content creators.
Thanks for your interest! I do not have a video tutorial for this dragon, but you can find the written pattern here: www.theresascrochetshop.com/products/danny-the-plush-dragon
It'd be easier if it wasn't already assembled. Then, from inside the hollow head you could pull the yarn into the body and tie the knot on the inside instead of the outside.
