This video warms my heart. All this virus talk and people falling apart and feeling lost because of it... this brings me back to what humanity is really about...
This was really fun to watch, as most of your videos always are. I think I preferred the more traditional way, but both are really awesome displays of dexterity and reflexes.
That was absolutely incredible to watch! Visually stunning and very entertaining. Nice work to everyone involved, you can tell a lot was put into the making of this.
We were at the PCC last summer and recognize couple of the Old School Performers. Thank you @devinsupertramp for bringing back some fantastic memories!
Awesome that you got Kap and the Samoan crew out to do something this awesome! My fiance and I used to work at the PCC and knew him fairly well. :) He even has his own art booth that he sells his pieces from in the PCC!
I am Samoan, and this is one of the best parts of my culture. Thank you for sharing this with the world! The best siva afi (fire dance) concept I've ever seen.
Amazing film #TeamSuperTramp loved the cinematography and my favorite was the dude with bandana and skateboard entrance, set the mood for the whole video.
devinsupertramp I'm missing country/city coverage videos like Dubai and Barcelona was. Maybe cover something which is not so famous but is amazing in real life.
Would have loved to see more fire flow arts in this. Some poi, a dragon staff, fans or contact staff. But those are all new school, it would give them a leg up on variety.
Another awesome video 📹👍...now a days I'm living in China where RU-vid is blocked🚫 , I'm using VPN only to watch you videos...keep up the good work amigo 😉✌
@@stmichealt6757 If I'm honest, I don't feel it. I can't really point towards anything and confidently call it American culture, not anything I'm proud of anyway.
@@Zack-wu6ql gotta check yo back ground bro your family probably come from all over revive your culture. My ancestors where Mayans so I got that going for me but America is not just made up of one thing so try to back track your heritage
I'm soon 47 years old. I remember 10 to 15 years ago when Poi fire dancing became popular with hippie/ alternatives and cool. Put two and two together and realized it is and has been a huge part of South Pacific culture. I would like to send a huge apology for being ignorant of this. I took American Tribal belly dance. We were taught to explain the culture and movements in the dance as well as the new improvisation within it. I'm a full believer to not only appreciate art and beauty but give full credit to that culture. It is always beautiful to share beauty and talent... make sure you share the history and culture as well.
OMG I just came from Vacation from Hawaii 2020 and I visited the Polynesian Cultural Center. Such an amazing place!!!!! Haha I recognize Kap he was doing one of our shows!!!!
Love it how people post a quick comment trying to be the first without even watching the video :D Anyway, awesome video as always! Really like these videos that in addition to showcasing impressive talent and incredible visuals also have some kind of plot built in :) Makes them so much more entertaining :)
I liked both but... old school for me wins. They're performance upholds the culture of pacific islander heritage and I find that more captivating than fire spinning mixed with hip hop elements from those youths. Max respect for both though. I am a fire spinner myself and completely love the art.
Guys, this is beautiful! Artistic and uplifting! As a fellow long-time fire performer who loves to create wonder and beauty, this video was an inspiration for me to keep creating shows. If we burn bright enough, they ain’t no room for darkness to grow 😁
I've watched your videos for a few months and then I left. I came back a year later and everything is... AMAZING! You are very inspirational and I love your videos! They are very entertaining! Keep up the good work!
I'm sorry, but that's not even a contest: old school massacred the new school. The only new school people that were actually impressive were the trio of girls near the end.
