Damn Chrom. He is all like YASSSS and Robins like: Not the most appropriate way for a man and woman to get to know each other.... (yes she said that XDD)
I swear, my main reason for marrying Chrom is because after meeting the ridiculous cast of characters I was convinced that Ylisse would go to hell if I didn't take the throne myself and get shit done. I mean really, Chrom's adorable, but gods that boy can be dumb...
actually, Chrom isn't that dumb of what you think. He's only dumb of knowing of what a lady is. He actually quite a great leader. He always want to be there for all people to help them out, even set of risk of getting assassinated. He had to be there for his people so he can connect with them.and also in Chrom and sumia support, it shows that Chrom tries to be a great leader to everyone. Cause a army has to be stalwart as his leader, the instant he shows his weakness, they through. I actually like Chrom of his well Character Development, is quite to be difficult to be someone that he need to be, he even have flaws.
Yeah man go nuts. In all honesty tho, chrom makes a great husband b/c then your avatar gets extra dialog in the story, and its the only way to get a character with both "rightful king" and "lethality" skills (no spoilers)
My dear Chrobin fans I have noticed something very funny and important! Have you noticed that when Chrom confessed his love to all the other women capable of being his wife he always kept his cool and barely blushed but when it came to Robin he was like JHENDUWNEHDHWJENHDHDHJWJNEIHSBEN
+XxLoveLifexX my friend says it doesn't matter who Chrom marries and that Lucina is born no matter what with Chrom as the father. I played as the female Robin and maxed out the s link by chapter 8
I like Xander. He's cute. :3 But he can't swim and blames himself for killing so many people, probably also having nightmares (he has suicidal thoughts)... .__. So I wouldn't go as far as calling him perfect. I would prefer calling him "hard shell, soft core". I probably like him more than Chrom. But my first Fire Emblem love will always be Ephraim. ^^ But that conversation between Robin and Chrom was probably my favourite support in Awakening. Not all cheesy, but funny. ^^ Also.. what alternatives do you have? I tried it with Henry and Lon'qu.. but the others weren't interesting for me at all. Different from Fates. I still didn't marry all of those, I want to marry. o__o There are too many. Xander, Leo, Jacob, Kaze, Kaden, Keaton, Camilla, maybe even Inigo/Laslow or Takumi. xD I have to create so many savegames...
Chrom: And THAT'S how I proposed to your mother, Lucina. Lucina: o_o So let me get this straight, you and Mother had a really awkward misunderstanding, then you walked in on her in the womens bathing tent, then she walked in on you bathing, threw stuff at you, and then in the end, you made a really long proposal to her. Chrom: That's... pretty much how it went...
"I'm in love with you. I have been from the very first moment I laid eyes on you." Soo... He, Lissa and Frederick are walking in a field. They come across Robin. Chrom:...*stares at her*...I... I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS WOMAN. According to him, that's what happened? "This is impossible. The general and his chief tactician? It just...It wouldn't be right." Chrom:... I'm going to go into my tent and cry my eyes out now. "I'm coming on like a wyvern in heat." Chrom:*done with confession, grabs Robin* Robin: Where are we going?! Chrom: My tent. The wyvern in heat wasn't just a metaphor.
Actually Chrom did say "I'm in love with you. I have been from the very first moment i laid eyes on you." to Robin but he later then adds "I just haven't realized it yet until now."
This support link is golden. Robin's serious nature coupled with Chrom's stupidity just works so well. After playing through with Male Robin where Chrom is confident and amazing, seeing him get tongue-tied talking to a girl is just hilarious.
She can be serious, but I like Fem Robin more when she's not being serious. Her supports with Lon'qu are hilarious, and it's because she spends a good chunk of it being uncharacteristically silly.
@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince her support convo w Lon'qu is actually what made me love her. I found her cute and charming. She reminded me of this one eccentric chick I used to date.
JUST WRAP IT AROUND YOUR HEAD 1. Chrom ticks Robin off 2. Chrom sees her naked aaand ticks her off 3. Robin sees him naked. 4. She agrees to marry him. Damn Robin.
Spooky Rabbit Honestly when he said that my initial reaction was "....did you ask Frederick for pick-up lines? Because that sounded like something he would say."
Kitern Come on, at least Frederick was a bit more romantic and equally cheesy. I mean think about it: "My heart is yours, milady. I vow to defend you as knight and husband until death shall part us."
I’m not going to say how much FeMU x Chrom fit together, because a lot of people here have already said it. But I want to add that it really says something that out of all of Chrom’s potential wives, the FeMU does not accuse him of cheating on her with Lucina. She just finds them, pretty much says ‘I trust you, I know you’re not doing anything, I’d just like to know what’s going on.’ While the others, three of whom would have known him much longer than FeMU, assume he‘s cheating on her. Out of Chrom’s five potential wives (not counting the maiden), only one of them trusts him enough to calmly explain, and not immediately jump to a worse case scenario.
Its true! She barely knew Chrom, while Maribelle and Sully knew him as kids, Sumia at the start of the shepherds. Olivia's jealousy may be justified since he only met her recently after the battle with Gangrel.
@@kryztyn127 Plus, Olivia has serious issues with confidence in the first place, so it makes sense that she'd be afraid that Chrom would leave/cheat on her if he found someone more suitable.
Thank you! Excluding Olivia, whom I can understand why she would have jealousy/trust issues due to only knowing Chrom for a short time and combine that with confidence issues it is understandable with her, but the others having that trust issue drives me up a damn wall.
Sumia: chrom proposed to you!? When did he start courting you Robin: yeah. Well i literally saw him wit his pants off and saw the goods so by decree... They are mine. Sumia: um I don't that that's a proper- Robin: mine Sumia: I mean most people- Robin: mine..... Sumia:but Robin I- Robin: (grima tone mixes with her tone) MINE!
+SonicDolphin117's Channel Meh. I don't really care that much for Sumia. The characterization towards her just kinda pisses me off. She basically plays the role of stereotypical, domestic little waifu....At least she's a pretty decent unit in battle with the right partner. That alone is why I invest my time in her. v.v
She is a good unit, I will admit...but she just seems so boring! She's just the cutesy, clumsy good girl character and I find it to be rather uninteresting. But, now that I think about it, a lot of Awakening characters are pretty bland. Except for Gregor. Gregor's the best motherfucking character ever.
can totally see Chrom staring at her like a lovesick puppy from across the camp, little hearts floating and popping around his head XD And Lissa probably teased them for weeks afterwards XD
How it goes down: *Chrom sees Robin (F) pass by* Chrom: *stares at her endlessly and starts imagining sparkles and hearts around her* Lissa: Someone must be in LOOOOVE! Chrom: Shut up Lissa.
The problem Robin had with what he said was more because the way he said it made it sound like he thought she was about as attractive to him as Vaike. Saying "I've never thought of you as a woman" like seriously asking her if she's ACTUALLY a woman. Sully wouldn't give a damn if you said she wasn't lady like, but she'd probably knock you out if you said you don't think of her as a woman in the same context that Chrom said it to Robin.
Also does anyone else notice that this S support is the ONLY one to play the particular music which is used when the avatar first meets Chrom instead of the other piece of music that they play for everyone else? I think that this couple is meant to be the actual canon but since the avatar has a customizable appearance the creators had to use a different woman so they just chose Sumia. Especially since the story changes only when Robin is married to Chrom. Not to mention this couple was voted the most popular of this entire game. THINK ABOUT THAT!! Lol.
Sumia is actually a good one with the Male Robin and Cordelia supports. Idc what the localization was thinkin when they made the pie support. But I do prefer the MU x Chrom pairing too. Also the Sumia x Chrom is a callback to Marth x Caeda and Cordilia's unrequited love is also a callback to Catria (if you play Lost Bloodlies 2 they have a bit of dialogue together)
BigKlingy welcome to the dark side, BigKlingy. Where we bash these (psychotic) fan girls of their precious Chromnoms on this videp. Glad we have you here. Chromxsumia 4 lyfe my friend. Also Lucina pallete-swap. Wife-abusing, sibling abuse, little girl-abuse, stalker-abuse, and catria-abuse. Lol
"My goodness, Chrom. You're the scion of a noble family, aren't you? Didn't they teach you manners at your fancy schools growing up?" DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!
I will speak bluntly and offend you... I will see you naked because I have bad hearing... Then you will see me naked... And then we'll finally fall in love. This support in a whole!
When I first started the game, I never thought people could get married. And I wanted Chrom and my character to raise their support levels so they can become stronger in battle. (The conversations between me and him were very amusing too lol). But when I started support conversation "S", I DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE CHROM REDDER THAN A TOMATO. At first I thought it was nothing, but as he started talking to himself about me and stuff, I realized what he was hinting at. And I was like, OH. MY. GOD. I didn't know this game was like this! So, just to confirm my hypothesis, I carried on, despite the nagging curiosity in my head. And then this happened. I was FUCKING MIND BLOWN. Then the cutscenes with him looking all romantic started playing, and I squealed in happiness and confusion. That was my reaction. Any one else want to share theirs?
I know right I was this omg his a nice handsome guy at the beginning then the cut sense where I stabed him I was like NNNNNOOOO then frost fight was like omg his omg then I married him without knowing about the marriage thing made me so happy but then made the ending where I killed myself even sadder I'm srry I lied to u chrom I had to do it 😿 I'm happy ryoma has his voice actor his sexy and op too
I found this game at a shop last week and I got to the final support, i was practically sobbing at this point and when I saw chrom pop up on the screen I squealed so loud that my dad texted me to go to sleep, it was 4am and basically this morning I got my 3ds taken
"It's like we're partners in crime sharing an unsavory past! Anything that brings us closer will make us stronger on the battlefield. Just you wait." Then, there was Lucina.
I married Chrom with Female Robin together. Not only were they my favorite couple they were deadly when paired up in the battle field. And they also give really good stats to Morgan and Lucina
This is my OTP. It just makes the most sense out of all of Chrom's potential pairings. The Avatar and Chrom are just so close throughout the story that I think it'd be impossible for the two not to fall in love if the Avatar is female. Robin and Chrom are SO much more compatible with each other in comparison to Chrom x Sumia, Chrom x Maribelle, etc. Plus the added emotional impact it gives the story isn't there if Chrom marries Sumia or any of the others (but God bless Sumia, I love her anyways).
DevilHunter1994 I like Sumia too. I hate that "I don't like Chrom and Sumia together" is misconstrued as "I hate Sumia." It's really demeaning to her character, tying her entire identity as a person to her male significant other. I partially don't marry her to Chrom because I don't like the way the game sometimes just defines her as an accessory to him.
南京 Queen Yeah I completely agree. There's more to the character then just her love interest. I personally don't like her with Chrom because the relationship just feels forced.......mainly because it is. The creators made a mistake of Showing Chrom and Sumia together in the opening and that automatically gives the impression that the two are just supposed to be together. Unfortunately (and this is just my opinion) the personalities of Sumia and Chrom really don't seem to mesh well and we learn almost nothing about each of them as people in their supports together. Their characters are developed much more when talking to almost any other party member. The lack of meaningful development during their supports makes their relationship feel rather one note and contrived. I think that's part of the reason why Sumia gets so much hate. I bet a lot of players who were just trying to get through the story didn't worry about Sumia beyond getting her to S support status with Chrom so he could have the stat boosts. Chrom has the benefit of being a main character, so even if you don't worry about his other supports that much you still get to learn a lot about him and his character in the main story itself. Sumia doesn't have that benefit so if you don't fill out her support log to learn more about her and just finish her support with Chorm, then she is going to seem like an uninteresting and underdeveloped character when really she isn't.
DevilHunter1994 Yeah, I don't like the way they silently dub her with the title of Chrom's wife from the start without any real particular good reason why they should be together. It's like they needed a "canon" for his wife, so they came up with the usual pegasus knight character and of course had her introduced from the beginning as the girl with the crush on Chrom and then she performs the stereotypical wifely duties for him and ultimately he just concedes and then they're together. At least his relationships with rest of the girls (well, maybe not Olivia) demonstrate the natural process of getting more comfortable with each other and falling in love, whereas from the beginning Sumia's supports with Chrom are like "this is his wife. She cooks for him and nags him, because she is his wife. They are supposed to marry. Marry them." The development of their relationship does seem, as you said, extremely forced and awkward. And I personally feel that any relationship where the girl seems to have no separate identity outside of her significant other is unhealthy, not cute. That's why I hate when people are so upset that Chrom and Cordelia can't be together, because the relationship is wildly unhealthy and dampening to Cordelia's character as it is. If you're so attached to someone that your other relationships begin to suffer (look how much Severa was hurt just because of Cordelia's obsession with Chrom), you shouldn't be together. Just my two cents.
南京 Queen Yeah I agree. Honestly I think even hinting at a canon love interest for Chrom was a mistake. If they wanted the choice to be up to the player then they should have just kept Lucina's mother's face hidden in that opening cinematic. The funny thing with Olivia though is that if you actually look at the supports for her and Chrom in game (which we can never see when we play because she comes in at the last chapter before they have to marry) their relationship actually does develop quite well. Olivia's too shy to talk and she finds him intimidating so she avoids him. Chrom feels it's his duty as a leader to learn all he can and to know his men on a personal level and makes it a point to try and talk with her. It's awkward at first, but then as they meet up more and more the walls come down. Olivia starts to look forward to their talks and Chrom starts talking to her because he genuinely wants to and not out of simple obligation or duty. Eventually love blossoms. I thought the supports worked really well. I kept on wishing that Olivia could have appeared earlier in the game so we could actually have the chance to trigger those conversations. I know the cliche is "This character has a crush and therefore will inevitably marry said crush" but love just isn't that easy and like you said sometimes getting the person you've been chasing after for years really isn't the most healthy option. I will say though as bad as Cordelia and Sumia are with their crushes, neither of them are as bad as Tharja. At least Cordelia and Sumia end up liking whoever you pair them up with more then Chrom in the end. Tharja outright tells everyone who isn't MU that they will always be second in her heart and that she's basically marrying them because MU said no. She's just obsessed. XD
I think is this one of the best support conversations of the game because.....Chrom and Robin start off as best friends that do fall in love with each other. Not many couples in fiction are like that. It's why he doesn't have a ring when he confesses his love for her. It's like he knows he's either going to loss her or have her confess to him her love as well. Another reason why he's so nervous around her too. It's great character development and flaws that make the fiction world go round. :)
See, what I don't get is that Chrom didn't know the tent he entered was the women's bathing tent, how could he not? He's the flippn' general! With Robin, it makes sense since she's new to camp, but if the leader of the Sheperds is stupid enough to forget it's THE DAMNED WOMEN'S BATHING TENT, then I think he's the one who needs a memory jog. XD
If ever awakening has an animation, I want Female Avatar and Chrom the canon pairing... Couldn't care less about others as long as these two are paired..
I like...freaked out in my room & I was giggling like an idiot xDDD My dad was like "TF is wrong with you" lololol Stahl's cut-scene was pretty sweet too xDD
iBeFloe Amen. I actually blushed. I'm black. I didn't think it was possible to make a black person blush. And then I got a nosebleed that my boyfriend refuses to let me live down.
When I first played this game I had no idea who I wanted to marry. I was going in completely blind about the characters and what they were like. Then the animated cutscene appeared with Chrom and Lissa over the unconscious body of female Robin. Chrom offers to help you up and then WOOSH he pulls you right into his manly face. With any other guy it would have been creepy but at that moment I thought...... "Yeah, I'm marrying you."
When I first played through awakening, I played it with complete disregard for what the “optimal” strategy was, and just went with whatever I thought would work, mostly blind. So, of course, I had robin and Chrom spearheading all of the battles. Cut to chapter 6, and I already have their S-support unlocked. But I’m uncertain, because I don’t like to limit my options, so I ask my friends. “Who do you guys think I should S-support?” “Well, I mean, sumia’s not bad, tiki’s great-“ “I’m playing as a woma-“ “CHROM. DO CHROM. YES, CHROM.”
Rank C kinda reminds me of one of Lyn and Eliwoods support conversations Lyn: Say, could you teach me, Eliwood? Teach me how to act like a lady! Eliwood: You think I know?!
Old comment, but I just had to say. Eliwood x Lyn is my FE7 OTP. I have a thing for more realistic ships and best friends before lovers and not fairytale ones.
Kareem Hill Jr. which has one of the most deepest backstory in the game which ignorant smash players just call her a "female Marth" without knowing why she exists.
I can't really imagine the female unit with anyone but Chrom, I mean, the male unit and him are as close as two comrades can be, so the female unit would hardly fit with anyone but him.
I know a lot of people wanted a more serious support, but personally I don't really mind that f!robin and chrom's support convos are more light hearted and silly than expected. We get to see chrom and robin's relationship from a more serious and dramatic point of view basically the entire rest of the game, so I think it's a good thing that we also get to see just the two of them goofing off like here and in their summer scramble DLC conversation
And so it was that Robin gave birth to the two mightiest heroes in the history of Fire Emblem, and the rightful king and queen unleashed hell upon the enemies of justice, and there was much proccing. Oh so very much proccing.
Seeing these makes me wish you could go back and re-watch the support events like you can in Fates. I like the conversations with the other characters in Awakening; but Chrom's are by far my favorite. He's just too precious. I can't picture my avatar marrying anybody else but HIM.
I can get behind the fact that people don't like these supports, but what I don't understand is when people hate on this ship simply because of their supports. A bad support conversation does not mean it is a bad ship. But thats just my opinion anyways.
I may be seen negatively because of this but I unironically love these two Chrom is such a dork, and it's hilarious and adorable. I can't help but smile when watching these two, also just Robin throwing shit is hilarious, I don't think the male version even does that.
FE Awakening was my first FE game, and I loved it so much that I decided to play the rest, too. I'm still on Shadow Dragon, but I noticed something- princess Nyna tells Marth that the Fire Emblem is cursed in regards to love. She says this out of grief for the knight that saved her once, but still fought for the enemy and refused to fight in Marth's army out of loyalty to his country/ And then I was like... HOLY SHIT Because when Female Robin and Chrom get married, and Female Robin decides to sacrifice herself in the end... Fire Emblem love curse in the act I love this pairing so much
To me, is more from Sigurd x Deidre than any else. The difference is that lucina & Morgan cannot marry each other, while seliph & Julia can. And robin is more of as Arvis who is Sigurd's closest friend and then murder him for absolute power, and then felt guilty of doing it (check on future past 3) Although, I sometimes use some of my pairings referencing other pairings from FE series. Chromxsumia:Marthxcaeda,
Melanie Becker Well at the end of the game you destroy Grima and his bloodline while surviving yourself so.......Fire Emblem love curse broken I guess.
"Just you and me.... and our children." Because Lucina and M!Morgan are OP being our children. Especially when classing them to Great Lord and Grandmaster
One of the things I love about this game, that I wish others would do with character creation, is that Nintendo didn't make Robin the overdone silent protagonist; they actually gave him/her a personality, and dialogue
