I especially like how Gaius blushes when he talks about the honey's shine, considering that characters usually only blush when they're getting married and are admitting feelings for each other. Or noticing feelings for each other.
This is one of the cutest, most hilarious romantic supports involving Sumia... and all the commenters can do is whine about Sumia and Chrom. Even after months, it's annoying as fuck.
Gaius!Cynthia + Lethality = Everything is dead. Add to the fact Gaius and Sumia had a skill stat of 40 each... let's just say Cynthia killed everything. And I mean everything.

This is my favourite pairing for them! They work so well together, and it's so cute! Oh, and here's a fun fact: when enemy mages go to sleep, they leave the lights on because they worry about finding a Sumia under their bed.
This is the best pairing in the game, in my opinion. From the day it started to happen, I just couldn't stop shipping Sumia and Gaius. Bee stings forever!
I find it odd that Sumia can only marry five people in this game. (Male Robin, Chrom, Fredrick, Gaius, & Henry.) It would have been interesting to see Sumia talk with other people such as Ricken, Stahl, Lon'qu, etc.
I was trying to support her and Stahl when I first started playing before I learned just how the support system works. I’m still really bitter about that revelation…😑
It's funny how these support conversations which lead into romance range from deep and character revealing, to rather mundane and trivial activities. The talk between Gaius and Maribelle is so revealing you can't help but feel it's the right move for them to be together. This honey gathering activity is just...well...so-so.
As a Gaius x Sumia fan, I agree. But I just prefer cute and funny conversations like theirs, it contrasts with the serious plot of the game, and while their support was based on honey gathering, you can still see the development of their interactions as the support goes on. I can see why you think Gaius x Maribelle feels more right though.
Gaius is number one out of my top three support conversationists. Second place goes to Henry and then good ol' Gregor at third (Lon'qu is also pretty funny)
The game REALLY likes this airing, even shoving it in your face in the opening and even dedicating a cutscene to it. Granted I really like ChromxSumia but it makes me feel bad if I don't marry them together cuz of the cutscenes.
I just did the conversation right before typing this... That second conversation, dude... What the heck happened?! Was Miriel unconscious and dreaming it up? Did Sumia do something to her? What in the world? This game, dude! This flipping game! XD
+afasf There is no confirmation Sumia is the canon wife of Chrom. Even if a character is married, they can still do supports with other characters, just no S Support if they're married to someone else.
These two are the ones I never got them to marry. This is a good support. With Gaius, whoever he marries, he can give the daughter the Pegasus Knight class. Same with Donnel. That’s the reason I didn’t want Gaius marry Sumia.
The only thing that erks me that Sumia lacks any other Romatic supports besides Male MU, Chrom, Gaius, Fred, and Henry. Needs more guys on that list...
Leave it to Miriel to find the truth of it all. Her logic is why in my first playthrough, I married her. Of course, now I'll only marry Lucina, but you know what I mean!
