Quite true. In most supports that start out with the two characters on bad terms/having a disagreement, they usually reconcile by A Rank, with the S rank being entirely optional. As such, while it's funny to see Noire snap after dealing with Laurent's nagging, the transition to lovers seems more than a little awkward.
C Support- Ok...I could see how this could work. B Support- Hm... A Support- Wow! Noire rage! I can't wait to see what happens next! S Support-....wat?
This is my favorite pairing for Noire, because it's the only one that addresses the whole "but what if she goes nuts around him?" thing. Here it's made explicitly clear that he's more than okay with ALL of Noire, child abuse baggage and all.
This is all speculation on my part, but I think Noire has some anger towards her mother. And instead of lashing out at her directly, she takes it out on anyone unfortunate enough to push her buttons.
CaptainChameleon That's actually very accurate. Psychology: she fearsher mother but had pent up anger from what she does to her. She keeps it closed in, like a shaken soda bottle, and when someone angers her, she, like the bottle, explodes.
A part of me thinks Laurent enjoying Noire getting mad isn't strange at all. He's really into looking into details, he's like a psychiatrist or such. He's into mysterious things like that. It's just kinda neat.

The instant I saw the S support.... I loaded a earlier save file..... That... Fetish... Thing.... Was just too weird. I was not letting that ship continue to sail.
One of my friends and I acted this out for a talent show some year or another, and it was funny because 1) we memorized all the lines and 2) i did the part of laurent, even though im a girl, and my friend did the part of noire, even though he was a boy... that was the greatest time in my entire life :D
SlenderManGhost Pretty much everyone loved it, even though half of the people didn't understand what Fire Emblem: Awakening was. We got quite a few laughs, a bit of teasing, and a long hug from my brother because he ships Noire and Laurent.
Well not really, it's his self appointed job. Also how annoying would it be if you were part of say, the fighter class, then this mage comes up to you and says you are doing it wrong. Pointers are nice and all, and some people really like what Laurent is doing (Lucina), but my god he takes it to a whole new level
Self appointed or not, why wouldn't you want pointers that could possibly save your life? This is war, battle, life and death. If he really knows his shit then why wouldn't you accept that? It's not like he's saying you're a horrible person or something, he's just telling you how to do your job better, and thus maybe save your life or someone else's. Idk rant over
Sorcerer Gregor!Laurent is the best husband for Dark Flier Gaius!Noire. Noire with galeforce vantage and Laurent with armsthrift VV make one of the best pairings for Apotheosis and Luna+ in general. Why would you let some silly support convo turn you off from that?
wwwpwndcom I actually find they're more useful as a pair when Gaius!Noire is a dark knight with galeforce, LB, Luna, Astra and Swordfaire. When doing no-brave runs, the ability to use levin swords effectively makes her a godsend against the single most annoying enemy in that entire map: Thronie, the aegis helswath berserker.
wwwpwndcom It's definitely more interesting than brave runs, mostly because brave weapons triple your damage output and thus it's practically impossible to optimize your team poorly enough to not be able to beat it with ease as long as you know about rally bots and proper galeforce distribution.
I love finding out that Laurent is a complete Masochist! That is funny as hell! XD But I still don't ship these two. It just seems that Noire is very uncomfortable with this new development.
I wonder what the interactions between Laurent and his new mother-in-law (and conversely Noire and Miriel) would be like... Also, Noirent, Laurenoire, or Laure (maybe they could name their son Hugh?)?
