To be honest I expected alternate Mauviere to be an arrogant dick. However in the end Mauvier is so neutral that there is no way that his alternate is neutral too.
My only complaint was that it was short, because I really loved the story and the different ideas they had here, but I know that what we got was good enough. Also, that ending was very wholesome after witnessing everything that had happened.
Despite the DLC being short, I actually really enjoyed the story a lot more than from the main game, and I really enjoyed the characters here, especially with how they handled the 4 Hounds of this world, or as they are called the 4 Winds.
I'm happy that both Nel and Nil join your party. They can both take revenge on Sombron for everything that happened to them. That being said, once the Fell Dragon family arrives in FEH, they will all need a hefty amount of group therapy.
@@claudeishere5806 I wouldn't have put it any other way. Besides, Sombron is Hate Sink material, possibly rivalling Hilda from Genealogy of the Holy War and Kronya from Three Houses. Trust me, those assholes deserve to die for their actions.
After finishing the DLC yeah the story was much better, definitely gave some interesting ideas of other Fell Dragons as well as the sides being switched which is interesting
Great video PM1! Just got done with my playthrough. Although I definitely did it too late for these versions of the Four Hounds to meet themselves, I did look up the text and found it very enjoyable when the characters all meet their counterparts.
Fr lol I still enjoyed the base game but God, the dlc story was so much better! I went from not caring about Nel and Nil to NEEDING them on my team. Great development!
Idk 😭 also enjoyed the abse game for what it was. Saturday morning anime. But this dlc is closer to what we all expect from FEvstories. AAAAA guess I'll hv to buy it kms
After playing the DLC, I found the story to be much better here than from the base game, but yikes, that one scene with Ivy and Timerra really got me because they're two of my favorite characters.
1:49:40 I actually cried here. I know that we have Mauvier at other world but man this hit me so hard. Especially the part where he mentions Veyle’s name.
Sombrom saw potential on Nil so he said to hide it, as he is in a literal den of snakes. Sombrom probably didnt want Nil to show up dead, killed by envious siblings.it would be a waste.
Same. Some of the things I would like if we got more dlc is more about the Zero Emblem like you said, more Emblems like Azura, Seliph, Alm, Shez, Yuri etc, maybe a dlc that gives you more moments with your S support partner, and for them to upgrade the Tempest Trial and battles and stuff
The story is much better than the main game. More emotional. Characters feel like they have a little more depth. Even Alear feels like they have more personality. The maps and difficulty however is a hot mess. This dlc really had alot of potential.
Curiously enough, the Four Winds will be complete again on the Devine Dragon's world, because there, the only one who survived was Mouvier, who is the only one who died on the other world.
Seeing Timerra and Ivy get done like that just didn’t feel right especially poor Timerra 😭 even though she was corrupted, she just wanted to stop Ivy from reviving Sombron
The story looks great. A strange feeling due of the "alternative world". But nonetheless it is a great story. I was afraid the DLC ended up like the Three hopes where you kill the protagonist. Happy I'm wrong
@@doughnutboyfromtheshadowre7199 Alt. Alear is still dead even if you finish the Xenologue. But at least he/her soul found peace knowing that her world wouldn't become a breeding grounds for the Corrupted after Rafal was stopped.
Wait, what do you mean you kill the protagonist in Three Hopes? If you mean Shez, they don't die throughout the entire game regardless of route. If you mean Byleth, there's a way to get them to survive too. Just don't engage and kill Jeralt and you're golden.
I saw this in a stream, but AltFogado and AltHortensia have unique dialogue on the final map with Alear. There's even additional lore in them! I'm not sure how it triggers though, and I'm not sure if the other royals have more unique dialogue.
Like... did they shifted the writers AND the game designers for this DLC? If the base game had really strong gameplay and maps, but a relatively weak story, this DLC had an unexpectedly great story with many unexpected twist but the gameplay was pretty bad (The maps are fine per se, but the way we're imposed to play them makes them a pain. At the very least we can lower the difficulty without affecting the main game, but still). Why it is so hard for this franchise to have the best of the two worlds? It's always the same thing with Fire Emblem: you either get a game with a great story but awful gameplay, or a game with great gameplay but weak story (with only Path of Radiance managing to doing both of them right). And somehow, Fire Emblem managed to do both of those options at the same time. FFS Intelligent Systems: ORDER YOUR IDEAS.
So ima just assume I’m the only one who prefers the main story over this one. But I did enjoy this alternate world for what it was. It reminds me a lot of the future past dlc of Awakening.
I feel like the Xenologue adds more to the main story, Madeline’s character makes me actually feel for Marni’s death in the main timeline. Before this, I give no craps about her only sad for Veyle.
I think Nil was handled poorly in the end (I don’t know what happened- it’s like they didn’t know if they wanted to make him sympathetic or another typical villain but ran out of time and decided to do both in a manner that just seems so contradictory to each other). Otherwise, this is much better than the story of the main game.
2:16:14 Sora: here we are kairi Kairi: wow so beautiful view Sora: there he is kairi the divine dragon his name is alear Kairi: really Sora: yeah he was asleep for thousand years crazy right Kairi: really that how Sora: yeah let's go to him
Sora: alear Alear (M): sora you're back and you must be kairi Kairi: yes I am Rafal (Nil) & Nel (Both): do you know them divine one Alear (M): yes i help him
Alear is good with Marth, Roy, Eirika, Lucina, and Byleth. For Nel let her use Sigurd. And for Nil let him use Ike. P. S. Let Nil use Micaiah in the first chapter because he has the restore staff.
Honestly, I thought this was pretty bad. Full of mcguffins and "haha see I'm evil alfred, so I dislike flowers" etc. I really hope they improve the story for the next installment
So, thats why the story felt so bland. They put the actual story into the expansion pass. (I do have to admit, the normal story gets better at the end, but it just felt a bit... hollow to me, idk)
@@Pheonixmaster1 Thank you so much! I came for the dragon and ended up actually watching almost the full thing, LOL. The voice acting and story is fantastic!
Anyone knows what to do if you don't get the cutscene I have all the dlcs with the expansion pack and the game is completed but whenever I go to the well nothing happens
