Book of Worlds is really creative design, if a little wonky. They actually managed to translate a daily log-in bonus into the gameplay. They really went all out in adapting a gacha game.
Veronica is supposed to have a bonus on summon hero with back-ups. The effect is that the summoned unit gets lucina’s dual assist skill (the one that allows anyone to follow-up. I forget what it’s called). After the engage turns the unit you summoned will disappear. Make of this information what you will, I hope it was helpful.
@@HonokaYukishiroWhite have played myself. this is what happens. summoned a 5 star marth on my last turn of engage when too far away to do anything. couldn't find him at the start of the next turn. no one killed anything during the enemy phase. used the crystal to make shure.
Chrobin seems like the best ring you could possibly give Boucheron with how his personal works, you basically have it always active, so it's a damage boost of +2 from the personal, plus the +3 Str, plus the assured chain attack. And holy fucking hell, Veronica is so ridiculousely broken what the shit how was this allowed I love it
I think Chrom and edelgard are best on bouch. Chrom gives speed and the self personal trigger when you wyvern Boucheron off away from the team. And his build is strong. Edelgard just good period.
Summon Hero reminds me a lot of Summoner/Necromancer from Sacred Stones. Summon in a disposable unit who can be used to block/stall/bait/attack/whatever. You could probably engage and summon early if you have the map knowledge to know you'll be around an energy tile when the engage is wearing off. It's pretty neat and a nice option, especially if you end up with nothing to attack during one of your engage turns. Reprisal and SP Boost are the real gems though.
I don't think SP conversion is broken. I think it shows moreso that SP gain throughout playing the game was just not balanced well in the first place. Looking at the SP costs of certain skills which are stupid expensive. But SP conversion being easily available isn't what is going to break the SP economy. It helps, but it doesn't make it instant. Your units will gain SP and you can actually interact with the skill inheritance more and experiment with them now, rather than committing to something. This is just a good QoL which makes the game seem more polished. Locking it behind dlc sucks though. But back to what WILL break SP gain, is the Ancient Well. You get access to it after chpt.7, I believe? But you dump 5 items, and after every battle, you get stuff. You can get SP books. And the 500 SP books drop at a reasonable rate from a 3* item conversion. So if you pick up the purple spots in battle and get, for example, 5 iron/steel swords, etc. and you use those for the well, you have a good chance of getting these books super early. So now you can get more expensive skills reasonably early in game which is crazy.
my first three times using veronica's Summon Hero I got Lyn, Sigurd, and Veronica herself so I just assumed it was always an emblem character, then I pulled a three-star generic archer and doubled over laughing
Rally Spectrum seems like a solid option for Hortensia to pick up the moment you get her, making her a mini Dragon Byleth that flies. Pretty importantly, unlike Alear she has few expectations of being a combat unit who should have better things to do.
That new SP skill is ok but not gamebreaking by a longshot because you don't need any "unattainable" skill to beat the story mode. Edelgard's 150 sp for 20% more exp @ chapter 6 is far more snowball-y. And as far as actually breaking the game, Hector (QR) + Soren (Taunt) actually breaks the one rule that makes the jump from hard to maddening what it is: units that can't hit you or damage you will ignore you. Assign Decoy cancels that, and QR will make sure your Louis kills pretty much everything with his gargantuan str, while making sure the rest of the units are safe as long as you don't leave more than 3 enemies in range of them. As far as skills go, the most important thing for maddening is having enough speed to consistently double the enemy, otherwise you fall behind. To that end, Speed +5 is the only skill you actually need.
Being a FE fan who isn't amazed by heroes but still has played it and enjoyed it- I'm glad the Veronica/Heros DLC is substansial and gives proper credit to heroes as it's own title. Especially given the amount of content and success it has garnered. (: It could have just been another camilla (fanservice emblem) but they really captured the essence of Heroes with her set imo. 🤷♀️
Since Celine also gets sword access, she could probably do a real powerful Chrobin Mystical engage attack if you give her a blade weapon. They also provide STR, DEX, SPD which are all useful to Celine since she always feels not *quite* fast enough and STR/DEX help with Ignis. +10 MAG while engaged is also great. Also, how would the Chrobin Engage Attack work if you use the Levin Sword? How does it use Phys. Atk in that situation?
Unfortunately giga Levin sword pretty much always does less damage than just attacking with a Levin sword, especially if you double. Celine can't use a silver blade to make it hit harder either :/
@@mihile4631 100 - 500 - 1000 SP Books are available. Be sure to note this. 3 stars is most likely to give SP 100 - 500 2 stars sometimes gives SP 100 usually. 4 - 5 Idk I didnt need it to get 2900 SP worth of stuff. I'm on chapter 17.
I'm liking the possibilities with summon hero. Free disposable units I can send to lure out enemies, weaken bosses, etc. I wonder if they will trigger offensive staves like entrap? That'd be nice. They could basically do Vander's job (body blocking, softening, decoy, etc) without taking up a unit slot. I like it.
Prepare for the pinnacle of Fire Emblem refreshing with Emblem Veronica's addition assuming this is actually possible. Turn 1: Engage Veronica and summon a second Veronica. Turn 2: Should go something like this. Attack Refresh attacker with Seadall Attack Refresh with Veronica Attack Refresh with Summoned Veronica Attack Make sure the four units are positioned for next step. Possibly have a nearby unit use a positional skill like Draw Back or Swap Refresh all four aforementioned units with Byleth's Goddess Dance Attack Refresh with Seadall Attack Refresh with Veronica Attack Refresh with Summoned Veronica Attack So that's a total of eight times you can have one unit attack in a single turn plus additional attacks via Edelgard's Raging Storm. Though with how Veronica's refresh limits an ally's movement to 0, I imagine that limits your attacking options to long range weapons like bows or even Soren's Bolting tome. Still a fun theoretical setup.
Definitely seems fun I was shocked when you could actually summon Veronica I assumed she’d be the one emblem you couldn’t summon. Honestly the odds of getting one unit to attack 8 times is fun but impractical considering the positioning but can easily give 7+ different units to attack twice in a turn with her, her summon Seadall and byleth in different places. I’ve also only really been using her summons support skills or as walls (I generally unequip weapons on them to save exp for my team, unless a unit is at risk of dying). Even generic qi adepts have been helpful when summoned. Honestly I had low expectations cause I’m not a fan of feh, but definitely in contention for favorite braclet. The quotes are fun, her paralouge is so funny to me that she’s the only emblem that truly is fighting you as an enemy and engage outfit is great
I’d love to see that emblem tier list! I think a lot of us have been watching Iced Coffee Gaming and he doesn’t use DLC at all, but I’m trying to watch some guides on the dlc emblems but I don’t think anyone has made any yet
I know I might be in the minority, but I'm kinda glad veronica allows for more SP gain. I know getting a lot of the same skills for multiple units sounds broken, and it kinda is, but on the other half, there are skills you will literally NEVER be able to inherit in your playthrough unless you do obscene amounts of grinding (and obscene falls short to describe how much grinding is needed). I guess a better way to solve that issue would've been to lower the price of said skills, but Idk if that would also just become a problem in on itself.
Yeah the problem is the SP system massively overtuned the cost of most of the skills for no reason. Example, my Alear, having been in every map and usually actively fighting for the whole game STILL didn't have enough sp by the last story map to have purchased a SINGLE one of the top tier skills (in terms of cost).
honestly I feel like the only reason to be annoyed by this is the fact that it's locked behind a paid DLC. the amount of grinding needed for SP in the base game was ridiculous. Veronica's skill is a bandaid fix locked behind a paywall. honestly very fitting since she's representing a mobile gacha game, featuring all the scummy monetization that would imply...
I think they actually heavily fixed this in DLC 3 with the FREE wishing well. Just put in items up to 3 star after every map, and you have a good chance at getting 500 sp books and a small chance at getting a 1000 SP book. In the 3 maps I've played so far, I have received 3 adept books. So all of the endgame SP grind is gone if you simply have enough weak items or gold for fodder. Also a 3 star well after every map or every other map is very manageable.
So from my experience at least if Veronica is on a dragon that means you only get 4 star or above units which does technically mean you have a high chance of getting the emblems
I think SP Conversion is pretty balanced. You have to do both Veronica and Tiki's paralogues to have access to it, which I'd say the sweet spot for is between chapters 9-13 where you have lots of rings and/or strong promoted units while the enemies have not yet promoted. Doing these as early as possible with the unprompted scrub squad will suck. You then need 15 kills on the singular unit just to break even, and 65 kills to profit 1000 SP. It's a complete dead skill slot until you convert it into something useful, even compared to Lineage, Mentorship, and Starsphere which all effectively boost your stats overtime. You will also quickly run out of bond fragments trying to get this on multiple units considering the typical skill inheritance or proficiency only costs 400-900.
I've seen someone do the math on mentorship/lineage. They determined mentorship ended up being 150Sp and a permanently lost skill slot for 1 extra level. Lineage is even worse in that regard. The skill in broken because like anna's money skill it can still proc off void enemies (the ones that dont normally give exp/sp). This means you effectively get infinite sp by leaving one of the paralogues that has infinite ads, then completing it later when your over leveled.
@@XenithShadow you can play how you want, but if a skill is only "broken" in the context of grinding infinite reinforcements then it isn't broken. also what is that math based on
@@urahara1446 The amount of exp you get per kill, all mentorship/lineage does is lets you gain exp as though you were one level lower than you currently are. Which means it gives you a single level advatange over not using it and only while the skill is equiped. Someone made a video about it, its call like mentorship is bad or something. Sp conversion is justfree sp. As unlike the exp boosting skills that are getting level ups at the cost of reduced exp gain later, SP conversions only cost is the temporay skill slot which at chapter 6/7 when you do the tiki paralogue is only really competing with a canto, technically it could also compete with starsphere but you aint getting 2500sp early to get both canto and starsphere. Its arguable also better than starsphere (at least sp cost wise) As you can use the sp from it to buy better skills whereas starsphere cost so much it prevent you getting other skills.
That Spd/Dex +5 could be really nice for my postgame Diamant since his Class has such low Dex cap and on Maddening he has difficulties hitting any of those 45+ Spd enemies, while I want to try the Chrom Emblem itself on Céline and it could be really nice to bolster her Ignis
I am really loving using Veronica on alear and book of worlds is quite crazy in the fact you can activate only on initiating an attack, only need 5 turns for its full effect. So far chrom and robin as a bracelet have no use to me but that brute force skill looks crazy
I THINK charm needs testing to see if it works at the final boss. Also Charm is just another good tool for Chain attack armies, so it's far from useless but definitely not versatile
At least Veronica's SP Conversion isn't as abuseable as the EXP boost given by the 3H bracelet, you still have to be tactical about it unless you go unga booga with your bond fragments...
so for the early game now it's just.. inherit lineage + sp conversion, tiki's stat growth boost isn't worth the sp investment comparatively when you can just get more xp instead, or get canter for those units that really want it.
Fogado gets some nice options here. He and as his base class are a bit of a mess, hybrid damage (expecting him to use the radiant bow) and class skill tbat wants him to counter attack/take damage. Veronica gives extra value to being hurt, while both provide some hybrid damahe benefits. Extra movement on summons never hurt anyone either
15:15 It removes all 3 stars and puts it into 4 star so you get a 70% chance for 4 star and 30% chance for 5 star. The well trivialized the game. You can cook something throw the meal down in the well and get items worth more than the meal out for infinite money and the well can give SP tomes. The well resets after a skirmish meaning you can farm the well whilst you level your units, farm gold etc. Maddening limits the farm during the actual game, but for anybody else it's free gold and sp farm as well as a much cheaper option to get duplicate rank A weapons. Veronica is partially balanced by the accuracy. The units that take the best advantage of Veronica are Berserkers and Warriors which both have accuracy issues with axes, sure you can balance it out by using an engraving for Hit, but you only have so many good options for Hit on the engraving that really makes a reliable cheese unit that you can count on to actually hit Griffin Knights when they have capped stats. It's not like other Fire Emblems didn't have absolute cheese either from the broken Pair-Ups in Awakening to the potential to straight up forge broken gear in Fates. Emblems in general kind of break the game if you're just looking to clear it even on Maddening you don't need Veronica for that.
Ehhh Vero's skill set isn't as random as you'd think outside of level boost which I don't personally see where that came from. Reprisal is the special she uses when you first fight her in heroes, book of worlds references each main story book in feh, sp conversion is how sp is earned in heroes since its based on kills there, contract references how she binds heroes to a contract to do her bidding. No clue about level boost though that one seems truly random.
you didn't hear it from me but pandreo is the only character wild enough to make chain guard worth it. his magic stat can simply be used on enemy phase with an engage weapon like sword of the creator or.. now levin
seadall? really? the unit that can make your best unit move again should rather give +3 to all stats. nah that doesnt sound good at all but on units like hortensia i can see it being good
I was really hoping Veronica got enclosing dark which probably allowed you to attack twice like a brave weapon except better stats especially since you can see her holding it.
I like the stat boosting skills on certain units with good class skills but most others are better, kinda like the dlc emblems compared too the base games
I actually don't think SP Conversion is really all that impactful, especially compared to Soren if we're including DLC. 20 per kill is pretty minimal unless you're going around feeding all your kills to a single unit. Looking at endgame number of kills for characters that see use on a full run we're talking about 100 -200 kills usually, so 2k to 4k extra SP, which sounds like a decent amount but you have to consider that we're talking about using up one of your only two slots in order to make use of this AND you're going to want to replace this at some point with something you're actually putting all this SP towards AND the initial cost is 300. So that 2k to 4k SP mentioned above is going to realistically going to be a fair bit less assuming you want that extra SP to have value before the final map of the game. I brought up Soren earlier because if you really want an enormous amount of SP, just don't promote one of your early game units for a bit and have them spam Reflect around your group of allies. At base level 20 you can get over 100 SP per engage turn (can be increased with EXP gain skills and SP is not capped to 100 per turn like EXP is). A single Engage with everything set up can net 500-700~ SP and then factor in all the blue circles you can run into and this just runs absolute circles around what SP Conversion offers you getting like 3k-6k SP on a single map depending on what's there. That does require a bit of going out of your way, but the reward is frankly enormous for "not that much" going out of your way given the reward IMO. Even on a more basic level stuff like Edelgard's Lineage and Byleth's Mentorship are probably better for your SP generation since more EXP = more SP. Mentorship also gives that to multiple characters for only one skill slot and they help by giving you more stats via more level ups.
I just summoned Lucina with Veronica and she only had a Silver Lance, so definitely not all weapons. They might not even have their signature weapon. Lyn had Mani Katti and Leif had Killer Axe.
wait, what if you use the Levin Sword? how does that interact in the code? Does Giga Attack override Levin’s magic properties, forcing a unit to add their Str to Levin’s might in order to create the Phys Atk number? how obtuse.
I have been using Chrobin on my Jean Hero and its working great, the chain attacks and crits are great and using the Giga Levin Sword lets me deal with the armored units when I don't want to change my weapon for enemy phase into an armor breaking sword.
I’d argue that the SP economy was already busted even before Veronica. The accrual rate of SP is laughably slow, while I like having my decision be more impactful when I spend SP it makes building units more annoying. All and all the DLC emblems are pretty inconsistent. I think Soren, Tiki, and Veronica are the standouts. At least they are all pretty fun just like the base emblems are.
I really like tiki and 3houses bracelets as they came in far more useful to me than all the part 2 DLC bracelets, but I'd have to do more testing with them and the part 3 ones.
I sure hope they make a harder difficulty so the DLC can be used without killing a lot of the challenge. I like doing cool stuff, but not if it takes most of the challenge out of the game.
It really is up to the player how hard to make the game and a higher difficulty could help, but some things are so broken that it will still take player control to make it challenging. I haven't gotten the DLC yet and am really enjoying Maddening. When I get it, I'll try things like No Somniel to see if what it's like without skill inheritance, arena, bond rings, meals, forging/engraving, etc. They at least tied a lot of the broken aspects of the game to the Somniel.
Regarding the final DLC- do we think it will be a side story like 3H DLC? Or will it be tacked on to the end of the story, the middle, or the beginning? Wondering if I should wait to do another playthrough until the last wave comes out
I've had fun using Veronica, Byleth and Seadall on Mauvier and Soren. The Massive range for 6 whole turns was nuts at clearing some annoying units, to proc certain mobs to move closer, or helping gets kills for other units/dangerous situations. Once everyone used their engage skill the trio of Soren Veronica and Seadall is still good with 3 attacks from Sorens tome. I'm not sure if it's possible to increase the hit percent tho for the instances where an enemy boss sits in the avo+ spots. I had fun with the game and defo wanna play it from the start again with a harder setting.
Wouldn’t Yunaka + Chrom be great? Put Yunaka on Sniper and that’s free 25 Crit, extra +100% additional Crit damage and +10 Mag for Radiant Bow usage. Not to mention gets that sweet +1 Mov
Lol I gave Timerra and Citrinne Book of Worlds. They’ve both been amazing on the battlefield for me, even though Timerra is in her unique class. As for Citrinne, I made her a sage and gave her Lindon’s Thoron.
I was just playing through the 3ds entries and finished awakening. Next I'm skipping to fates since the dlc is locked behind chapter 6. It's very nice to see chrom and robin and I've never played heroes but veronica looks like fun.
Veronica's SP Conversion is a very nice skill to have during the game's story. Once you beat the game, it's less important because you start to gain SP Books from Relay Trials. I have so many of them that I even started to sell them to get some extra gold.
@@im1085 Mostly because of Relay Trials (add an extra map after beating the game) and Tempest Trials (adds extra difficulty option after beating the game), and also extra paralogues for DLC if you beat the game before getting to them. There are also Outrealm Trials, but not sure people play those.
4:00 Like with Sigurd, Céline perhaps can do funny stuff with it. 7:13 Was going to drop Veronica on Seadall, but now I'm thinking of perhaps giving her to Anna. Thematic reasons aside, she's got a bunch of...everything. Or maybe on Boucheron since he has such a massive hp pool.
I'm feeling that sp conversion was effectively a fix on the sp generation, cause if you wanted so before this point, you were going into skirmishes anyways if you really wanted those skills asap, all this does is save you time grinding so you can have your s.i.'s with less tedium and can bully weaker enemies with an actual gain. That what I think anyways.
You can use contract on Seadall. However his dance is disabled under contract. Also, stat boosters are very much worth inheriting on maddening if it's speed. If it stops a double, or enables you to double, worth it for very little sp. I also like dex on Timerra or Alcryst to proc their skills. Otherwise, yes, it feels like a waste of sp.
I’ve tested the summon on dragon class compare other roles, when I put Veronica on Veyle the stats and bst of the summoned Emblem or fabrication is slightly higher than those who weren’t summoned by dragons, I’ve summoned Roy twice with Veyle 1 time as fell child and 1 time with different classes and the bst when summoned as fell child was higher as I could remember
We dont get the base stat boosts? what am I gonna spend all these books and sp on other units on then? have tons of them in end game/post game(talking about units like alcryst where I'm getting the plus dex skills to boost trigger luna more)
Chrom just seems like its made for Celine. Celine has a higher str growth and uses swords/magic. Not to mention that giga levin sword just being her class skill for mages, which her class is. However, idk if that fixes her.
You are overvaluing SP Conversion soooo much. 😂😂 It's negligible gains and takes up a skill slot. Why would you want it over Lineage in the early game, and over a more impactful skill in the late game
I'd say Lineage is a less overall impactful skill over SP conversion. It only costs 300 sp, you can keep it as long as you like and take it off whenever you want and is basically free SP gain after 15 kills and probably alongside the SP you already gain from Exp. This can allow you to reach certain proken skills like sword/lance/axe power, vantage, wrath, hold out, ect ect. When the skill is no longer useful you can just switch it to something else with your surplus of SP
Lol he’s valuing it as it should be. I put SP conversion on 10 units early game and by the end of mid game I had every ability I wanted. Maddening/Classic. Use your brain. Talking shit about something you obviously haven’t even tried yourself is generally frowned upon dude. I had 2k+ SP on every unit I put it on.
"Random abilities on her that make no sense" Honestly some of it is a bit of a stretch, but I assume it's some mix of it referencing: inheritance, FEH as a whole (the whole books thing and how some of the Emblems in general are), and how FEH's simplicity is the reason why a lot of units' kits are much in the same vein "random abilities that don't make sense on them". Of course, like all Emblems, taking liberties for gameplay reasons but I feel that doesn't really need to be said.
Honestly I don't consider sp conversion broken. NOT because it isn't strong. it is. obviously...... but I also feel like hte SP econemy is bullshit so anything that "breaks" it to me is just fixing the problem. plus ya know.... long time to get and taking up a skill slot that can be used for something actually combat effective.
Can’t believe bro said archers don’t get good use of the chrom emblem. Alcryst with the radiant bow really wants that +10 magic, assuming lyn is used elsewhere. (Any radiant bow user makes good use in my opinion, but nothing else is particularly good for them)
That +20SP each kill is absolutely spastic. My Royal Knight Anna is at 310 overall WITHOUT an emblem and with a 53 LUCK stat and she solos everything I throw at her!! This just makes her a complete joke.
Throwing purple-swirly trash into the well (,actually) is much more SP-economy breaking than Princess V's equippable party trick, especially since you'd have to run around with that taking one of your only-two-available inheritable skill slots to milk it for all it's worth. Not sure I want to take that much time to grind, but I can imagine some folks will find value in it? As for V... is it just me or is she wearing her late-FEH-story (post-[SPOILERS]) look but rocking a start-of-FEH personality and outlook on life? It's kinda weird.
Damn I love hyperbolic statements. "This breaks the game. You can inherit everything!" Also early in this video "You're never gonna afford this its 5000 base and 6000 for +. And don't ever SI these double stat boosters they're too expensive"
I’m so happy the DLC emblems are broken and good. Especially the SP converter. I don’t care about people whining the game got easier. SP being so hard to get made making units boring. Now they can possible get the things I want them to have! Very excited
@@Pwner So if you've got a Levin Sword on that unit, you're better off using your own, but if you don't, it's equivalent to a 20 Mt Levin Sword. Seems fairly standard for an Emblem's first weapon.
Sp conversion trivialize the game? He'll no, it makes me wanna play more and actually enjoy a grind for skills and create different builds and not be stuck with a few units with repetitive skills.
The SP economy was so staggered and shit before that this sp boosting skill doesn't really break the game imo. It makes the game function as it should've from base tbh I like experimenting with builds and SP was so limited you couldn't really do that
Chrom and Robins map was so annoying. They put that barrier up and beat you over the head multiple times with how to get rid of it. "hey! did you see those crystals?!, did we mention the crystals?! smash all of them! the crystallllllls!"
"Veronica can summon every emblem, except Ephraim for some reasons..." Jesus christ, they really did him dirty in this game, I never played Sacred Stones but I still feel sad for the guy.
Is it broken. Fucking absolutely. Is it some of the most fun I've had in the game doing it as soon if not a few chapters after unlock. Absolutely. Chrom is pretty much glued to diamante and the +10 to magic has saved him in some tight spots. He loves the dex speed boost too since he loves sol. All in all. Its ridiculous how broken the summon heros ability is. And reprisal + makes the units retaliation fucking unusable. U basically have to either know the damage range with u avoiding the hit. Or just hope you CRIT to secure a kill. Because the forecast doesn't tell you what you'd be doing if you dodge the incoming attack (enemy phase)
well to be fair, everyone and their grandma had been complaining about SP gains. so this is to remedy it. Though, this is a case of "selling a solution" type of situation.
