So Support Staves being able to miss, an issue that makes the idea f it even more annoying is that those kind of Staves already had the design of being something you can always rely on, if a strategy involves a unit being able to take more damage than what they could normally you aren’t going to be put into a bad situation because of Luck, and when it comes to combat, theirs often units of varying effectiveness, in games with a weapon triangle and your fighting a Myrmidon, Axes would have to deal with low accuracy and having that further lowered while a Cavalier with a Lance would be a lot more reliable . Using a Healing Stave is the only way for you to both heal and atatck. So I feel like part of the reason this feels even more of a bad idea, is because it’s not like this is a case of the series that started out with a mechanic/design aspect in a worse version of what it became, this was a specific aspect of this game that they decided to regress with And related to that idea. I feel like a mechanic that would create tedium/be antithetical to player enjoyment becomes a lot more palatable to the player-base if it’s a universal constant, because it could be said to be part of the experience and the developers haven’t shown that they have a better idea. So I heard that Coirpre had a minor role in this game, didn’t expect it to be a small cameo that you wouldn’t really be able to notice unless you recognise his name. Something that is made harder by the fact that his name is misspelled. If this translation was released post 2017, then they don’t even have the excuse that they only had the Japanese characters and what previous fan translators to to go off to not be accurate with his name, as CYL would confirm that the names of a lot of Jurgdal characters come from Irish figures, so his name was always Coirpre Funny, despite the fact that this Chapter also has you meet Dalsin’s sister, providing both links to a playable character you see very soon and facilitates his equipment, while if Coirpre comes back it’s a bit later I feel that the Coipre cameo is one that would stand out more to people in a story sense, since it’s a reference to another game that you wouldn’t expect as much, While the Dalsin one is foreshadowing that would be followed up soon, Talking about enemies fighting on Thrones. The final boss of Kingdom Hearts II. Xemnes has his penultimate phrase consist of him sitting on on a throne on top of a giant mechanical dragon/space station where he slashes at you with a giant sword, created barriers and fires rows of lasers at you, as well as knocking you off so that you have to get back. The Tokusatsu series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger had the last antagonist Emperor Akudos Gills of the Zangyack Empire, when Gokai Red and Silver first confront him on the throne of his flag ship during the final, he starts out just blocking attacks from both sides with just his arms, he doesn’t spend much time fighting on the throne but they do hype him up power wise by doing that. And related to that, said villian isn’t actually considered that interesting, he’s the angry and cruel galactic conquere type and even has the issue that he doesn’t show up until late and even then isn’t fought until the final episode, with his power set being fairly simple, very high endurance and energy blasts while using a Sword as his main weapon. But he’s also depicted as incredibly tough, not only did he survive his flag ship exploding but the final fight with him against the Gokaigers had them hit him with a barrage of attacks with no break, a scene that is designed to show off the ability the Gokaigers have to become members of various Sentai teams, so a member of every team is turned into at least once with them showing unique team up attacks, with him being able to block less and of them as time went on. When it comes to training units, I feel like Ronan and especially Luca are in a situation where while they can be strong, but you are inhrenetrly gambolling with expecting great things with them, that will not always end up delivering to even greater extremity than most While some people would argue that they’re both Archers and units that rely on you training them, But I feel like a lot of Fire Emblem Players tend to be way to harsh on units that start out weak or need training to flourish, However that tends to rely on a large payout that not every unit gives, and I feel Ronan and later Luka tend to have issues with due to the fact that their viability is even more heavily reliant on gambling than most, Ronan is heavily reliant on two kind a of 15% procs to be a better offensive unit than Tanya, with Luca, you have the issue that he is a generic Archer who doesn’t have unique strengths compared to 2 later appearing members of his stat line and you have to choose him over 3 other options both times whom are more unique and often better units, 3 of whom even have aspects of a growth unit.

It is a strange mechanic and it ends up not effecting that many staff units since a lot of them can get to 10 skill and not have to worry much. Tina would be the only unit where staff missing is really felt with her low base skill. Some names aren't up to date here either by choice or maybe to be more consistent with other translation patches like Project Naga for FE4. Fighting on a throne feels like a sign of arrogance which is probably some villains end up doing that. That is one of things I end up liking about Fire Emblem since you don't know how an unit, no matter how good or bad is going to turn out. Sure, it is frustrating when a good unit ends up underwhelming but when the opposite happens, it can feel very satisfying which is one reason why Thracia and Tearring really appealed to me since I wasn't expecting the bad units to train to end up the way they do.
