So about a week and a half ago I had my wisdom teeth removed and my tongue operated on for a minor issue since birth. My recovery took slightly longer than I hoped which is why this video didn't come out last week when it was originally planned. While I was stuck in bed healing, I sank close to 50 hours into this game over the span of 4 days because it was so addicting and was the best thing to keep my mind off all the pain of healing.
I've never played a Fire Emblem game before this and based on how much I'm enjoying this one, I think I'm gonna have to go back and play some of the others! Adriana is a huge fan of the FE series so she's been very excited to get me into it while she is playing Three Houses as well.
This song was an obvious choice to do a cover of between us, but it was one of the most difficult covers we've done. I had a hard time getting it all together while healing, the reason I don't have any wide angles of me is because my face was still very much swollen and I thought looking like a chipmunk would detract from the feel of this song. Mixing was challenging since I really didn't want to hold back with my arrangement, but getting Adriana's soft angelic voice to work over face crushing metal has always been a challenge. We both really enjoy this song and are very proud of what we did here, so we hope you enjoy it too!

This song truly is beautiful knowing how this truly signifies the pain Edelgard goes through, as her greatest regret is how she had that one year, that one single year, where she could truly be herself and have a normal time, a time where she could be happy and had to ultimately give it up for the sake of her ambitions. And this song never plays on her own route, but the other routes, meaning it's truly cruel because it means this is a song of regret that she gave up her moment of happiness for a dream that she failed to see through to the end.

Ironclad Guildhand It makes sense to be the teacher, because that puts you in the position of commanding the units and controlling the direction of their skill growths, which would not be the case if you were a fellow student. It's not "creepy" unless you think dating the students is the point of the game.

holy shit the soft 'underwater'-sounding intro (what's that effect called?) and shift into the main song was incredible. These keep sounding more and more professional. Not that they weren't already professional-grade before but like, hey. It just a bandwidth filter, it's high pass so it let's the higher frequencies through, giving it a thin tinny sound like a old phone or underwater, the opposite would be a low pass filter, giving it a boomy bass like sound. Hope that helps!

She's basically the tragic hero of this story. You sympathise even if you don't agree with her methods. Tho that said... she definitely should've kept Kronya under control :(

@@DragonEdge10The fact that Byleth never got to directly confront Edelgard about that even when working with her upsets me lmfao. The BE-E route is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but I'd have really enjoyed seeing Byleth hold Edelgard a little more accountable.

I think there's a real debate about responsibility there--those who slither did the deed, umprompted, and certainly without Edelgard's knowledge or permission--yet her continuing alliance with them enabled and emboldened them. It's possible--though not provable--that it might've never happened otherwise. Does any blame lie with her, then? That's a subjective question based on one's views towards accountability.

Three Houses has already become my second most played game on Switch. It's been a while since I've had the desire to grind a game, and the game being turn-based combat (my favorite) is the cherry on top. Immediately started another playthrough as soon as my first one was done. My GOTY for sure.

I have one to say to you Jules... Thank you... I was hoping you and Adri would do this one. I played through the Blue Lions first, but now I'm doing the Eagles, and the characters are really brought to life in the game, just like that performance. And listening to that song clearly and beautifully now thanks to you made me want to enjoy as much of the game as possible...

I love this song. Really enjoy Fire Emblem as well and hearing this brought forth many happy tears to me because Adriana's voice is so great! You did an awesome job with the instrumental parts as well Jules! Definitely needing this after all the stress I've been dealing with. Now I have a smile to push me through the rest of the day.
