It happens. I'm sure they will tell you not all equipment is perfect. They do good work and took care of it before delivery. Even with led technology failures happen. How companies respond and correct issues is what counts.
There is a lot of reason for this. One is cost. We purchase such a bulk amount of lightbars it actually cost 40% more to get one de populated verses letting it full. The lightbar can still be seen at 100 yards and back so it still hold much function for interstate purposes.
A lot of these departments utilize once of their vehicles to plow their own lots or possible rentals they have to assist with income. Its quite smart for departments to do this, running it basically like a business will set them up for years of continuous income.
Do you see issues with the stream lights when they are mounted in a car charging all the time when not in use? We have stingers mounted in the cruiser that charge almost 24/7 and when I go to use it it will die within 5 minutes
Never, if wired properly and the correct charger is used there should not be an issue. Make sure your flashlights have good batteries, charging a bad battery is like swimming against the current.
