HAHA! I love this. I have been a dps "tank"mage since alpha. Heavy all the way. Even 2 years later, people rush me thinking im easy pickings mage, and get a really bad surprise. Other good offhands with disables/stuns etc are Spear (vault kick, sweep, skewer to engage and incinerate), or Rapier (riposte/tondo/fleche - that bleed lasts long AF when built right). Even SnS is a good alternative too. BUT! get 50 dex for the 10% crit (syncs with both FS and IG). The INT past 300 is sortof useless. Musket also works nice just for traps, and being able to snipe people long range (war, opr, especially). Musket is 65% INT based already (so is rapier). Another great combo is FS/VG - speccing VG as a melee weapon with oblivion and "FOR AIUR!" protoss blades. There are so many combos with INT gem to make this awesome DPS-tank.
I've been playing NW for about a week thanks to the sale a coworker and his wife. Really enjoying it but these builds are certainly helping me plan and try to learn things for the future.
Just wanted to thank you for the Build and excellent instruction. I have used it lv 45-60 and it has given me great fun and results. BTW guys, don’t forget to change into PvP gear for Arena- it makes a hell of a difference. Waiting eagerly for your next work
Love your build guides - hope they keep coming. I just hit 60 with some help from your bow guide. Never had tried penetrating shot but I swapped and I feel dumb for not having used it
Zikorik, Im level 46 and am looking at your builds. Unfortunately I cant follow your Hammer build. Hamer Time and Hardened Steel are greyed out, I have to choose a main "Talent" to enable those choices, so, I have to select Wrecking Ball, first, then Hammer Time, and Hardened Steel. How were you able to select the minor traits before a Major talent?? I like your build/tuition vids, at least I will/should/may (pick one) know why Im choosing my talents and some idea on how to use them 😁 Cheers and thanks
was just curious how this build was faring in the new season 1 so far? And even tho you didnt touch on it, is it possible to use this in mutations or not "meta" enough for most people?
What do you think about the firestaff changes next patch? I'm trying to find something to pair with the firestaff for pve. I dislike other int scaling weapons, except rapier but the rapier feels underwhelming. So far the best weapon seems to be Spear...what do you think?
Fire Ball Vs Pillar of Fire, seeing how you use Fire Ball in a CC/melee range combo, why not use Pillar as it does more dmg? You find the aiming part annoying?
Been playing an IG/GA build. Fun in expeditions and treasure box runs. Scoops enemies up with the axe and then AoE with the Ice Gauntlet. Super fun was using a Med armor build.
Rad love it, believe it or not there was a phase on my server a few months back where IG/GA was in the war meta, basically doing what ur talkin about just to other players lol puttin them in the blender
Thanks for the build! I especially love your skill progression guide. I'm still leveling and hearing how you work through the skill trees are helpful. I couldn't find it (or see it) in the guide, what weapon gems are you using?
I love your bow & GS build, about to be 60 with it, but this looks reall cool as well! if I ever need a change up, or make another account, this is the build i'll run
