Acustica can you please update the plug in so that it has a larger input range? +20 is not enough for some buss applications and people that don't use Studio 1 to drive the input gain and/or don't clip to zero, have to use two utility plug ins pre and post clipper. Other plug ins allow for +24dB and also a clip threshold parameter.

Worth it if you have Gainstation 2, Lift 3, Clip 3.5, SIR Standard Clip, Big Clipper, Newfangled Audio Elevate/Saturate?

In my opinion this will be better for Live applications (low latency without oversampling) and for daily mastering duties the x1024 oversampling could give you a one-up on any of those other clippers on a more "optical" sound or as final 2-bus clipper. Multiple instances of true peak will help control intersample peaks when played on analog systems

@@andrewerdman7633 bought it, its nice but its not better than KClip 3.5 for example. I stop hearing any difference from x8 oversample to x16 and above...or I can't positively identify them in a blind test anyway. Would be nice if this had a mid only option so I can just clip the mid channel and leave the side information, intact....although I can just use DDMF Metaplugin for this. So this clipper is just more DSP basically and a different flavour when driven hard. Cool to have for 36€ (I used a coupon) but on first listen, its not better than the competition.

@@nectariosm I sold my KClip license today after using Fire The Clip. Both are good, but this one my friend..... It just doesn't have the option to clip specifics frequencies, but talking about sound, I didn't see anything smoother. Anyway if you want to clip only the mids, you can get Gaffel by Klevgrand, really nice plugin.

@@deeptune.records fair enough I guess. Personally I would keep the licence of a $40 multiband clipper that has the "crisp" algo that sounds every bit as good as Fire The Clip, but that's just me.

I own half of those mentioned (Gainstation, KClip 3.5, Standard Clip and now Fire) Fire maintains the integrity of the music better to my ear and having the 4 different modes that they provide sold me. Clipping vocals and my master have changed for the better

Thanks Luca. Would this work the same in Logic if I add the clipper to my tracks and busses and increase the vca all until the kick clips to zero? (instead of increasing a group gain like you did)

@@hettovennik2887 I tried watching the Baphometrix videos but got confused as there was conflicting information and he was using different plug-ins from the earlier videos and throughout. It’s worth checking the Sean Divine video on mixing loud, I use a hybrid of that and CTZ

What kind of processor can handle the x1024 oversampling ? Mine can only go to x64 (which is already great), but can't go at 128 - I'm on an old i7 so maybe that doesn't help, I will test that on the last i9 as soon as I receive it :) But even without the oversampling, the clipper is really great, it can push things a little further than KClip without being noticeable :)

the install for this is 644MB!??? Cubase, a DAW with so many plugins and features isn't that big! Whats going on?

Typical plugins are one single stage of gain staging, Acustica have the best plugins cause they use custom in house code, algorythms with multiple pass of gain staging. They have nothing to do with other plugin.
