I am in awe! That is incredible. Fireball XL-5 was my favorite show when I was 10 and got the model of it that Christmas in 1962, But this one just blows my mind!!! Great job!
Was one of the series that got me into Science Fiction. Classic 50’s/60’s rocket design that isn’t far off today’s rockets. Just look at the Dragon 2 that is about to launch. It’s almost Fireball Jr.
Wonderful! Better than any of the Fireball XL-5 toys I had when I was much much younger. What a great attention to detail, even the number and spacing of the ports!
I wished so badly for a toy XL5 as a child but there were none, my mates and I used to make them out of the cardboard tubes from the inside of clingwrap and assorted bits of card...not the same as a manufactured toy though.
@@potrzebieneuman4702 before my parents saved up money for real toys, I did the same, even to making nose cones out of paper and using plastic shapes for fins snd lateral nacells.
@@potrzebieneuman4702 I made my own(badly)from a model of a Lancaster bomber and cardboard, but they missed a great model to sell,i`m sure many of us would have built it,i yearned for Corgi to bring one out, their detailed die castings were the best we could get back then.
@@ufoclips1 I believe Airfix made a model of Fireball, I've seen photos of it, it was in a clear bag the way some of their models were. Quite rare I think. Found a mention of it " Posted May 20, 2017 "Once upon a time in the sixties, for five Lyons Maid? ice lolly wrappers and a postal order for 10/6d you could receive a model kit of the then TV wonder, Fireball XL5. (Apparently moulded by Airfix)".
@@potrzebieneuman4702 I missed that, though i remember the ads, there was a die cast around 20 years ago,but i never bought it as it was very small and had very little detail,i always imagined a 12 inch high detail model, with figures no less!,sadly no one thought it a good idea.
WOW dude ! I was just being nostalgic watching old episodes of Fireball XL5 and your video came up.. MAAN serious props bro , that is incredible, I bet Mr Meddings would be impressed ?
That awesome tommy you did a great job on building the fireball xl5. Maybe sometime could you do a video about how you built the fireball and what material you made it withI would like to try to build one.
Thanks Danny, I do have some pictures when I built it, Took me a year off and on to build it using stove pipe, white styrene sheets, an old used cone shaped lamp off E bay and many hours and start over making parts to make this great childhood space ship.
Thanks, from the first day I saw these shows as a kid about 10 years old I wanted one not even knowing the color of it because in that day everyone just had black and white T.V.
Hi David, I was just checking on my videos and saw your comment and to let you know I am doing fine, lets build another great 60's Sci- fi model, Tommy. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸
