@@masonwheeler6536 they are actually pretty prominent. Well played bagpipes blend in really well, especially when there are other wind instruments as well.
I can just imagine during a DND campaign with only bards whenever it's their turn to roll initiative they must do so in song. And depending on how good their music is they may gain inspiration
May I reccomend bombarded, it's not quite that. But, they are an all bard podcast that writes music for their in game spells and other bard-like things. It's a fun time
Counter point. High Dex, high Cha, high Int Eladrin Evocation Wizard/Glamour Bard with meta magic adept and expertise in performance and stealth. Evocation wizard grants sculpted spells which permits up to two people to ignore the saves required by a spell cast by the evocation wizard. Cast create bonfire to use as a stage for her dance with meta magic permitting the flames to burst outward with each step and of course. This was one of my old favorite characters and that was one of her favorite party tricks and methods of performance and on a few occasions, she would drag a random person from the crowd into the fire with her. This was usually followed by casting fireball at her feet at the end of the performance followed up by a bonus action teleport leading into invisibility thus having escaped her stage with exactly no one knowing what happened or where she went.
Bards are truely amazing in dnd when you get past the stereotype lol anything can happen cus they arent locked to one type of personality like people think
I love how all your dnd originals have a pirate-y feel to them, because of course this folk hero tiefling from the rough and tumble port town would have that sort of influence.
After listening to this so many times, I've started to vibe with this song a lot. I remember how in my first campaign my barbarian built a relationship with the team's psychic rogue. She, like all rogues, had an edgy backstory. However, instead of using it to make the character edgy, she used it to create severe insecurity and an addiction to alcohol for the character. The rogue was very introverted and barely talked about her past, fearful that speaking about it may cause some unwanted reunions. My barbarian, on the other hand, comes from a very tribal and family centric clan that he was one day going to lead. He up took adventuring to become stronger, and to raise money for his clan to build a massive fleet so his clan may finally sail back to their home. He was very friendly to everyone and cared very deeply about those under his care, feeling that because he is the strongest, he must look after everyone. So when the two of them started adventuring on the same party, it was a rocky relationship. In combat, they were perfect together, but their personalities didn't really match. It wasn't until the rogue started opening up that they realized how much pain they had both been through. It also wasn't until that point that I realized that my barbarian would probably catch feelings for the rogue, because of how much they had shared and been through together. Apparently, the rogue's player felt the same way. Their relationship was very awkward but in a funny way for a long while. But over time they became must more...accustomed to each other. The Rogue didn't have a family anymore, and her home became a place she could never return to. So, when she was introduced to my barbarians "Welcome to the family"/"One of Us" clan, she felt like she finally had a place to belong to. I was genuinely surprised how the rogue so quickly accepted being part of the barbarians family and loving having a people to belong to. From there, the two were inseparable, and they even went on to go back to the rogues old home and finish her business there...together. In return, the rogue stayed with my barbarian as he sailed back home and took his homeland back. The two ended up living there together. Whenever I hear this song I think about the first time they admitted to having feeling for each other. The rogue was seriously contemplating leaving the group because she felt that she was becoming too popular as a member of the party. The barbarian stopped her and asked for her to spend one more night with them, and if not them, one more night with him. Thankfully, she didn't leave the party. I realize that a lot of the details to this are left out, but I didn't want to write everything down on a comment that's not gonna be seen, lol. I felt like I had to put this down though. It has evoked good vibes and feelings in me and that deserves attention. Amazing job Cami-Cat!!
Me: Listens to Katie Parries' "Firework" and thinks "Just not enough songs abou-" Cami-Cat does THIS... Me: "WHY ARE YOU SO AMAZING?!?!...please make more..."
Let's just take a moment to appreciate all these amazing, incredibly talented people who put so much effort into it: Taliesin, Vincent, Danarei, Plumeria - good job, guys, you did great. But, jokes aside - what a beautiful thing! Fell in love with Firecracker since first time I heard it in Sea Shanty Collection. Everyone did such a fantastic job: the art, the musical arrangement, the vocals, everything is fabulous. And, of course, hilarious ending is just an icing on the cake! Wonderful.
I first heard some of it on a steam Cami did a couple years ago I think. It was great then and even better now. I was stoked when I heard it on the shanty collection. I'd relisten to that just to hear this song.
This explains why I couldn't find it after getting obsessed with this song on the sea shanty vid: it's original! It's great and I love it since hearing it in the sea shanty playlist vid
“Here’s a video that was posted five seconds ago” Then I click and see day old comments. XD Sorcery aside, didn’t even need to get past the ads to hit the like button. All your music is amazing and I’m sure after I finish typing this comment and listen I’ll be repeating it until I become physically ill from it. XP
It's good to see that Songtubers are all one big musical family, getting help in projects just about every new song they make. Damn great songs come of it.
I love that Cami's songs not only sound amazing but also tell us a bit of a story each time as well. It's fun to follow the characters and learn a little bit about them with every song
A detail I love is the fact that during the song the guy begins to see her differently, as she starts dancing her clothes shift from normal to a dress. 1:56
I was listening this song during graduation prom (I'm quite asocial, so headphones are necessity in any scenerio). I forgot about this song for a while but when I listen again I can remember everything from the prom vividly (smells, fabric of dress, noises...)as if I was again there. Thank you for keeping my memories safe ❤
God I love Danarei Milos! Her design is incredible, the slight change of voice you put on when you’re singing as her makes it almost feel like she’s her own person. This was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen from the D&D side of RU-vid (ironic, for a song about “firecracker” XD)
I like to think that the background for this song is a group of Vistani bards and their fighter friend make a distraction to protect a rogue from the guard
I just watched all of Cami songs again and realized their is a resemblance to Daybreak. So it is a story of how a broken rogue was in a city and a wandering adventure was mesmerized when he caught sight of her. He chased her down into a festival with spirits flying and people drinking. The rogue slowly breaking down from all the horror she was forced to commit when she was a child was shocked when a stranger truly showed her compassion. The adventure asked her for a dance and she accepted even though she was on a job and stayed in that adventurer's warm and caring arms throughout the night.
I noticed, if the artwork is of the actual characters, that it is the same duo of rogues. My roommate questioned me on this, then we checked both videos, and saw that I was right on it. Glad to see someone else noticed the fine details between lyrics and artwork.
@@JPieman The girl, Noella, is the same one as in Daybreak, but the male rogue featured in Daybreak (Zero) is not in this video. Cami usually posts info about characters and their owners in the descriptions!
I was basing my observation on the visible scars, like on his throat that you see both in Daybreak and here... But if it's not confirmed, then I apologize for seeing too much in it.
@@JPieman Oh no, no worries! Zero in Daybreak is my character so I know for sure they're not the same (he does have the throat scar, but no facial scars like the character here, good eye though! :) ). The male character in this one is Yasahiro! He and Noella are also in the Glad to Meet You video.
@@hragon3898 that's cool... That I didn't know. I am in a group that plays Pathfinder and d20 Star Wars, and occasionally some 5e. I'm trying to get some back to do more 3.5 again. I really enjoy Cami and her voice, and the small snapshots of your games. I hope you help her create more fantastic songs.
Heard this in the Sea Shanty Collection and I must say, having it slowed down a touch with all the instruments make is sound amazing as a standalone song. Really good work!
Love the art, love how the characters mix with one having a scarred upper body and it looks like the other had scarred lower body that alone tells it's own story lol
Cami, you never cease to make a song that I don't jive to. Any D&D group that is running with you is blessed to have such a talented singer, songwriter, and artist at their table. The way you interact with your fanbase is amazing, the way your voice sounds is incredible, and the way you are able to lift so many people with your voice alone is astounding. Keep doing what you are doing. Never stop being you, and have a blast doing it. Thank you for reading this, if you even get the chance to ^^
the idea of a collection of four separate adventuring parties running into each other by sheer coincidence and then all of the party bards just joining together for one night gives me joy to no end
Thank you for this gem, Cami-Cat! This song actually plays into the backstory of one of my characters just before she joins my version of Peter Pan's crew when she was still a young orphan and has become a special song she and Peter share. *insert my OC & Peter doing cute big brother and little sister antics while singing this song a capella*
I wanna make a character whos nickname is "Firecracker" now Edit: She's done. Within 24 hours of first hearing this absolute banger, I made a character whos nickname is "Firecracker".
I swear I've heard this song before. I swear. This is weird, someone tell me if I'm going nuts. Edit: OH it was in the shanty collection. Knew I'd heard it before.
I LOVE all of the designs of the characters in this video! I want to know about them and their adventures and I low/high key want to see these heccin' AMAZING bards come together to form a band. In game.
This reminds me of one of my old characters. An evocation wizard/bard multiclass with the meta magic adept feat. One of her favorite party tricks involved casting create bonfire at her feet and being unaffected due to the evocation wizard’s sculpt spells feature that would allow her to auto succeed the save and take no damage as well as drag someone else to dance in the fire with her. And of course as a bard she had to have a flair for the dramatic and thus used her meta magic to have the flames burst around her with every step.
You my dear. You are an inspiration in and if yourself. My dog is almost out time, and it's been killing me to say goodbye, but this made me smile again and reminded me of her. Thank you Cami. Thank you
Refuses to give out true name, Supernatural Grace, disappears Into the Night, I know for a fact there is a legend about a fae pair of shoes that make you dance until your feet Catch Fire... Sir I think your girlfriend is one of the Gentry
Me and my group are finally starting up a new campaign, a fresh start for all of us. Seeing this just gets me in the mood for DnD even more. Amazing as always.
i'll be honest, i downloaded the whole sea shanty collection just so i could trim it down to the original version of this song. this is just...so many steps above! i love it!
You seem like the best kind of dnd player, the kind who gets way into character, and holds nothing back. The kind of player that makes the game beyond enjoyable
It is absolutely brilliant !!! Well done and thank you for your and your great work, it's one of the most beautiful music and songs I have heard! But take the time to take care of yourself, because even the drawing of you looks tired x) We love you very much and we support you! You are the best ! And of course, a big thank you and bravo to everyone who helped make video and music possible, both those who donated money and those who worked with you! :-D translated by google translate
