With all my farm projects, I couldn't get into my hives, and one started to swarm. Didn't have any metal trash can lids to make thunder noise... worked great! #beekeeping #bees #indiana #beeswarm #swarm
Thanks for sharing A3 , reminds me of the time workin harvest and this ol boy came in with a wide tractor, tore some paneling down and there was the comb 😋 , everybody else was scrambling and I was eatin raw honey 😏🤤🤤 , didn't get stung once 🙌 😁 ✌️🇺🇸
Funny how sometimes they are threatened on other times not. They were from a hive that acted pretty spicy every time in it but they were more worried about staying together. Great memory 🫡 🍯 🐝
Too much money to start now. Unless you can get used gear and catch a swarm...first year not buying bees. Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend 🫡
My 1st one down here was 20 feet up and way out on a branch. I had some queen pheromone and strapped a nuc to the branch at the trunk with the pheromone in it. Next morning they were all in the nuc.
Missed this comment somehow.... heard people doing that. Had one last year up high. Have a large ladder and just dumped them in. Worked...Haven't had one terribly high.
I'm so busy that I let a hive swarm...all worked out... almost a self split, lol. Wanted to split that hive... now I don't have to, lol. Hope you're having a great day, Chief!
Unfortunately my sense of smell is mostly gone from all the nasal surgeries from all the jet fuel and other chemicals from working on aircraft. Every once in a while I get a wiff 😁
@@a3skywarrior929 You should keep all you find in a jar, and keep some in the change holder in the car, so you can find them when you need them. It really works. After 15 minutes all that is left is a tiny red dot where the stinger went in.
