The Firefield Charge AR Red Laser Sight and Flashlight is the ultimate laser/flashlight combo for your favorite black rifle. At only 3.4 ounces, this low profile accessory adds value to your weapon system without adding weight. The laser has a visible daytime range of 20 yards and stretches out to 300 yards at night and is accompanied by a 180 lumen LED flashlight that is ideal for target acquisition in total darkness. Powered by a single CR2 battery, the Charge AR Red Laser Sight and Flashlight is easy to operate and features both a push button and pressure pad. Windage and elevation adjustments make this unit one of the most reliable accessories you can carry on your rifle. This Charge AR Red Laser Sight and Flashlight is constructed from durable aluminum with a matte black finish and is compatible with weaver and picatinny mounts.

In the beginning:
I started this RU-vid channel to originally show some firearms I had purchased and experiment with making a RU-vid channel. I have since moved to doing actual tabletop reviews of firearms to help people out that are looking into new firearms to purchase. The channel has since expanded to include Video game streams that I thought might be entertaining and funny to watch.
The channel continues with this format today and is also used as a way to experiment different digital media and video editing ideas for my current job and to document my journey as a digital media designer and firearms enthusiast.
The goal is to help viewers learn more about firearms, help viewers in their decisions in what to buy, and to learn from my viewers as well.

Thanks for the video! I was looking for a review about this laser. It answered many of my questions.

After installing add a rubber band or some tape

Watch out for some rubber bands. The chemicals in them actually "melt" some plastics (and probably paints) with which they stay in contact for periods of time. Example: I used a rubber band to hold a label around a sodastream bottle, and after just 2 months the rubber band had "melted" into the bottle enough to seriously weaken it, making it soft and rendering it unsuitable for holding carbonated water. Rubber band also "ate" through some plastic pens, and other plastic items I'd used rubber bands to hold together.

I hope later versions of this product would have a redesigned coaxial connector for the switch...one with a concentric indentation to "lock" the connector into the case and requiring much more effort to disconnect.

Suggestion for future review of products with LED light... Use the camera to look at enlarged view of the reflector behind (or prism in front of) the LED, with the LED turned OFF, to show how uniform the yellow image of the LED is in the device. If the image shows a lot of distortion of the yellow...or incomplete areas which are not yellow...then the reflector or prism is VERY low quality. The yellow should basically *_completely fill_* the entire "lens" of the LED light. Otherwise, the projected light will show as very non-uniform on a wall. You'll see bright and dark areas in the projected light pattern. I really dislike low-quality reflectors and prisms common in many LED flashlights. Even expensive devices sometimes use a very low quality reflector/prism. I've also noticed that a lot of internet product pages for flashlights no longer show the front end-on view of the flashlight, because the distortions are so obvious. They used to almost always show this view, and now it's almost always displayed at an angle so you can't see the defect.

What type of optical do you have on your rifle?

I have a question would you recommend someone buying one of these for their AR-15 rifle for home defense or would you recommend someone going with something else thank you

I think these are very good for starter laser/lights. Eventually, you may want to upgrade, but these are still working on my rifle. Granted, the rifle spends more time in the safe than the range.

In comparison to the white light, that red LASER looks seriously weak. I suggest it's far less than the 5mW spec'd, and closer to 1mW. (these kinds of LASERs are usually type rated/spec'd as "< 5mW", not right at "5mW"). I believe given that the CR2 is claimed to last for 40 hours using just the LASER, tends to confirm it. Though it can be difficult to tell on these videos due to camera exposure controls, the light seems quite impressive for it's size and claimed 180 lumens.
