Firefighters continued to tackle the fires continuing to burn in the Amazon rainforest as many parts of the ecosystem have been left devastated, with tree trunk ashes scattering a portion and animals left dead.
The fires in the Amazon, which account for more than half of the world's largest rainforest, have surged in number to 83% this year.
Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro, following concern and condemnation worldwide, pledged this weekend to mobilize the army to help combat the blaze.

Man, that happens every year! It´s sad but normal, as that happens in California, in Portugal, all over the world during dry season. What is happenig now is that some governments are afraid of losing their stolen minerals from the Amazon forest bc the new president is difficulting that unfair foreign explotation. Those burns used to be worse the past years, but now media have the support from those governments...

It was the Brazilian governments fault since they encouraged farmers to burn the rain forest for more land to farm on to increase Brazil’s economy. And also just saying that the native people who live in the Amazon got their home burnt down to.

If we make it off the planet in the future, we have evolved. Evolved into a more complex bacteria that can migrate to new planets and consume the resources. No other lifeform has evolved to become so destructive. The indians lived in harmony with the earth, but "civilized" humans ruined it...When technology, modern civilization and modern agriculture were created it caused a massive boom in the population of humans. I am just pointing out what i think is the truth. It all doesn't matter though, we are just a tiny little speck of sand in an endless sea that we call the universe, we won't be able to hurt the universe in any way. Despite the bad news about earth, the best thing for us to do is to enjoy life and have good experiences as much as possible, life is short. But we need population control.

Save seeds from forest before the summer season comes and if fire broke out in the dry season, after it is doused, sow the seeds on the fire hit areas.

Let's not use any carbon emitting devices (like air conditioner) till the fire stops and Amazon gets it's old form. At least try to reduce the uses as much as possible. I think this will help a lot from our part. We can't just keep blaming each other. We are all responsible for Amazon's fire directly or indirectly.

Totally wrong. A Rainforest is different than a regular forest. Once the protective canopy of trees is burned away, the soil becomes dry. That is the first step in what is called Rainforest dieback.
