Canaan B So just wondering, if you like these bands, does that make you Christian? Because I don't sense in any of them lyrics the word of god, so all good?
Bands like these really help you focus on God while you're listening to music anywhere, totally good spiritual growth in your walk with Christ! God inspired music just the best to breathe in...
I am not religious at all, but damn I love Fireflights music, its just some absolutely AMAZING truly unique music. It has motivated me, and kept me going at times. I am an atheist but honestly, you dont HAVE to be Christian to enjoy music like this. It really is truly amazing music, thanks Fireflight!
Eu sou brasileira, e conheci essa banda por meio da internet, uau, quando comecei a escutar, jah amei de primeira! é uma das minhas bandas preferidas *-* # escuto todo dia!
OH MY GOSH Dawn Michele has such an AWESOME voiceee!!!!!! I love how she can hit all the high notes so well. The band does such an incredible job of accompanying her.. GO FIREFLIGHT!!!!!
Bravo to Fireflight! The productions Unbreakable and Desperate are A1 hard rocking Faith based Masterpieces ! Give Us More and More! Glory to God, stay plugged in !! Fireflight keeps a Top Rating in my appreciation of Chistian rock. Thumbs Way Up 👍
I remember listening to this song with my dad in the car. This band was our special band that we listened to on trips, and while I'm not Christian anymore.. I still have a very soft spot for this band. I haven't really listened to them outside of spending time with my dad years ago, but they still sound as good as I remembered, coming from someone who listens to tons of rock. Just brought back a lot of good memories, I guess :')
God loves you with an everlasting love! We are blessed EVEN when we don’t think so. The enemy has lied to you like he has to so many others over time. God has a plan and purpose for you! It doesn’t matter what we go through, ALL things are possible with God. I see people fall away from the Faith a lot like the Bible says will happen, let not any of us be that. Let us come against the devils schemes and destroy the works of him that hates God and anything including us that has to do with Him.
love this song.... for some of us stubborn folk( much like myself) it takes God placing in us in situations that make us feel desperate to get our attention and let us know which way to go...
I love slow , soft worship music but I also absolutely love this kind of Christian music, to me i can connect with God thru this music, I was brought up in a Baptist church and now I go to a non- denominational church.
Yeah,at times we're desperate for the Lord's help in our lives and sometimes we think he's not there but then He shows us that He is We say:Lord, you came back!? Lord replies:I never left.
Tyrone Conard he's always with us we just get caught up in what we call life we only seem to look when we need him the truth is we always need him we must seek the truth and the almighty I as well do i never seem to pay attention when I don't think I need him but we should always should seek his guidance do you agree
what I'm saying is as a mother, you dont control your childs life and when you see them in pain it breaks your heart. Same thing with our Heavenly Father, He is absolutely grieved when we grieve. The Lord IS close to the broken heart. If I controlled my child so nothing would hurt them they'd never leave the house and end up hating me. Same thing with the Lord. He desires relationship. He's not just the Big guy in the sky. I'm a Christian & when He saved me I'd done NOTHING to deserve it
Seek and you will find, they say but I've been looking everyday, for a way past this wall that's in front of my face. I'm on hands and knees searching for my faith I know there's so much at stake, but I don't know if I can take one more pat on the back saying I'll be okay Can't you see my whole life is in disarray You've got me desperate. I know You hear me, Would You give me a sign Reel me in before I've fallen in line. You've put me on a path I don't understand I'm standing on a ledge waving my hands You've got me desperate (do You see me) Desperate (do You hear me) Desperate (will You help me) You've got me desperate I know You're my only hope The only One who truly knows how it feels, what it's like when it all starts to fall You're the One I can trust, who hears when I call. You've got me desperate I know You hear me, Would You give me a sign Reel me in before I've fallen in line. You've put me on a path I don't understand I'm standing on a ledge waving my hands You've got me desperate (do You see me) Desperate (do You hear me) Desperate (will You help me) You've got me desperate (You've got me desperate) Some things I'll never figure out Until I let hope erase my doubt (You've got me desperate) I know You hear me, Would You give me a sign Reel me in before I've fallen in line. You've put me on a path I don't understand, I'm standing on a ledge waving my hands You've got me desperate (do You see me) Desperate (do You hear me) Desperate (will You help me) You've got me desperate
It saddens me greatly seeing all these comments about not "hearing" the Christian side of this band. Obviously, you're not ones that understand. Just because you don't hear "God" "Jesus" "Holy Spirit" and any other Christian like term, doesn't mean it's not Christian. You must actually understand the band and why their lyrics are created. Just cause your meanings don't match theirs, doesn't mean they aren't Christian.
So remind me "You've got me desperate. Can you see me? Desperate. Can you hear me? Desperate. Will you help me?" "I know you can hear me, would you give me a sign" "You put me on a path I don't understand, I'm standing on a ledge waving my hands" Key words In Song: Hope, Sign, Path, Faith, One (As in HIM)" How should that not be interpreted any other way? The fact that people are "Open" to interpret things is complete crap anyway. And believe me, I understand it. Doesn't mean I have to accept it. Fireflight has presented this song and many other songs through no other room for interpretation. Same as many other artists. It doesn't mean we have any form of right (Knocking Freedom of Speech cause it's BS) to make our interpretations(Opinions that sound "Smarter") actual criticism.
+Randall Jordan Yup! Those Christians must not have read the bible because there are two books (Ester and Song of Solomon) that don't even MENTION God!
+Randall Jordan your singin; my song bro!! really tired of the criticism from "brothers" who judge the heart. happens to bands like fireflight,POD, etc. all the time!
this is a great band and her vocals are top notch! the message in this song is simple, we get desperate and call out to God! He understands and allows us to learn through our struggles!
i went through life so angry from a traumatic childhood..i blamed god for it.. and 2 months ago i was saved and never thought out of all the tears ive cried that one day, i would cry because my pain and suffering would end and it was all god.... i live life with a smile on my face and armour from god to protect...Dont give up ... let god help you.. none of us can do it alone without him.
I agree with you. I think that not just from people who are non-christian but also the older people and adults who are christian because they have one set mind to how as Christians what music we should listen to... but this makes it worth it.
I look up to Dawn, I love how she remains strong in her faith, I strive to keep my faith that strong. Thank You Jesus for giving us Fireflight to uplift us with songs.
this song is so true to my life its painfull i have to listen to this one over and over again just to stay sane. FIREFLIGHT PLEASE KEEP WRITING SONGS LIKE THIS> I NEED THEM TO KEEP GOING.
The Good News is that You Will Be Victorious in Your Trials. The Bad News Is That You Are The Only One That Can Go Through What You Have To Go Through. God Is Faithful. IJN
I love bands like this!!!! I let parents in our church know about this band any chance I can to help bridge the gap of child to church when they think its not "trendy" and to get their focus back on track. Too many kids of todays generation are slipping away and I just keep reeling them back in with bands like this one and others!!!
Lisa LeGrand, It's in the lyrics. Some of the lyrics fit her singing about a lover (You got me desperate), but all of them combined would only fit the common view christians have for their god. That of a protective and guiding parent. Anyway, it's a song about being lost and confused, something that's easily relatable, christian or not =D
ah no! The reason something means something comes from the creator. the artist. we can come up with theories, but the true interpretation comes from the one who was inspired.
You're on some nasty drugs if you bring in religion to music. Religion has no place in music except if they are singing something about religion which they are cleary not.
As someone whose life was ruined by a cult, I really get this song. My faith was used against me to destroy me, and now I am trying to pick up the pieces. All the while, praying for help and getting absolutely no response.
+gatedude07 Learn how to do spiritual warfare and self deliverance! Daily is the key. Break there curses off you and cast out your demons! IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS. Nick Griemsmann has a audio cd or download called: I hate the devil. It is a good strat. Jesus is with you but will just want to start doing Deliverance.
@@jaredhayslip8014 praying for you, Jared. Don't give up on God just yet. As a believer in God myself, I still struggle. I am having to learn to walk by faith, and not by sight. It is not easy when evil men use their free will to do such painful and horrid evil, and even harder waiting on God's timing and justice. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. I will repay. The men who molested and raped my mother in law, mother, and at least 3 little girls after getting out of jail, (managing to slip through the justice system this time, I might add), will nonetheless answer to a higher power that I know exists. I don't know what circumstance or circumstances the devil used to hurt, manipulate , and deceive you, but the God I know and trust and love, does know. My husband and I will be praying for you. Please grab a King James Version bible, and read it, and talk to God. Be honest with him. He can take it. He loves you whether you believe it or not. We will be continuing to pray for you.
It has been a long time since I have seen this video. Rewatching this for the first time in 12 years brings back the memories of standing by my father’s desk with my brother and watching this with him when I was maybe 4 for the first time.
Hands down the biggest, baddest 80 Marshall tone I ever heard. Ten years now I keep coming back to this track just to hear those Splawn amps roar. This band was so underrated.

I'm not really deep christian, I don't go to church anymore but music, especially christian rock that isn't "hey this is christian" blown in your face makes me appreciate the path I have taken and its gods little reminder that im loved on my path I've taken.
Very powerful riffs and outstanding vocals. I had not heard of this band until a friend recommended it to me and I am a fan now. I love the powerful message this band delivers in their lyrics as well.
Here in 2022, and this song describes exactly what I am going through right now. I’m so glad I suddenly remembered these lyrics from 2010 while journaling and praying!
