I mean this happened to me, i didnt own firefly or ruan, I had 160 wishes and a dream with 0 pity and no guarantee, by some miracle I won both 50/50’s and came out with both ruan and firefly which makes me feel pretty good but its a very cruel way to market them together.

same... lost the 50/50 to himeko when i pulled for ruan mei when she initially released. i don't feel like pulling for ruan mei rn cus i dont rlly care much for her, but it sucks that firefly needs ruan mei in order to be utilized properly (hoping they're going to release a better support for firefly soon bc i don't want ruan mei !!)
The thing that I like about her being a DPS is that she's a Super Break DPS. Meaning her dmg will always be absolute cuz she doesn't depend on Crit gacha. I hope we can have other BE/SB buffer for her & other characters with the same mechanic in the future
my initial plan rn is to get firefly first and then ruan mei and hope to win both 50/50s in less than 40 pulls with 100 tickets- good luck with the firefly pulls everyone!

ive been saving for ff since her leak, and at the time i first watched this video i was a proud e1 s1 haver. (spent 300 pulls, only lost the 50/50 once to clara but she's my baby pookie booboo aka. pulled robin just for her so i took it as a win.) i watched the video until 7:20 and then paused. fuck. i was only going for e1 s1 but now… NOW I NEED E2 IT'S SO BROKEN. and so, one hard pity later i am now an even prouder ff e2 haver. i've never felt so accomplished in my life lol. gonna be an e6 ff haver one day 💪 love live firefly 💚 also i love the guide!! love ur videos mr.xlice!
luckily my asta is e4. i can finally build her and use her in a good team (i dont wanna pull for ruan mei bc i have many harmony characters already and i wanna get firefly e1 !!!)
Getting her E1 is more important than obtaining her light cone. You can get by very well by just using "Fall of an Aeon" from Herta's store, but the E1 gives you more defense-shred and more importantly the ability to use her enhanced skill without consuming a skill point! This is similar to Hu Tao's E1 in Genshin where her charged attacks do not consume stamina. In my opinion, having Firefly's E1 is a game-changer.
I kind of wish they would make it so that we could have two options for our builds. A primary set that we would assign for each character, then a team specific set which temporarily equips different light cones and relics when using a particular team, overriding the default light cones and relics, even if that equipment is being used by another character's primary set, as long as that character is not deployed, it shouldn't matter if you borrow their equipment. While they're add it, they could raise the number of teams we can make to 20, so that we don't get stuck using the same characters in every team. This way we could have a character built for a specific team, then use the same character in another team with different equipment catering to that team's needs and synergies.

sameeee, when ruan mei first released i pulled for her and lost my 50/50 to himeko. i didn't care much about it at the time and i dont really feel inclined to pull her for firefly cus i wanna get firefly e1. it just sucks that i need ruan mei to do good damage (i already have so many other built harmony characters and i dont want more !!!)
Honestly, right now with the DPS I have, Ruan Mei has been selected less and less. I think I only use her in Pure Fiction in a Himeko, Herta team. I'm doing fine without her on previous MOCs. Glad I can use her on a new team! ❤️
E0 Firefly with Lv.10 Ultimate trace and good relics PAIRED with E6 Harmony MC with Lv.12 Ultimate is doing 450K damage back to back to back. F2P... Still rolling for Ruan Mei. But have E6 Gallager and Xueyi sitting at base levels. Might invest in them if I don't get Mei.
My wife pulled Firefly then did a 10 pull on Ruan Mei for the memes and got her on that pull as well… I made one of my alt accounts I’ve been saving into a Firefly hyperinvestment account (my main is an Acheron hyperinvestment account so can’t afford to be pulling for Firefly when Jiaoqiu is just around the corner). Got E1 and Ruan Mei so far, fishing all the jades I can to get that E2. Luckily haven’t done much on that account before so plenty to be found still.
Seriously it is amazing how with Firefly, Ruan Mei, Harmony Trailblazer and Gallagher, they pretty much delete everything. Unless the enemies are a trotter or shielded, I pretty much am very happy with my loooong save grind to get E1 Firefly and her LC, and Ruan Mei.
currently have 152 jades saved for e1 firefly, hopefully with the event rewards i can guarantee it as well as e0 jiaoqiu for my acheron e0s1, then i can finally 36 star the abyss :0

It's Hmc actually. Ruan Mei is second best but can be replaced although the damage drops a good amount. Without Hmc she does practically no damage. The Ship is Real

A bit sad Ruan Mei is her best support I will do every other thing for Firefly though just not a big fan of Ruan Mei as a character and that is the main reason i usually roll for a character
out of pulls and at 60 pity and on a 5050, so guess i'll use Asta instead of RM if i can't grind enough pulls before she vanishes. which, i probably wont be able to get enough to guarantee. Mono Fire break team lets go! xD
There is no rush to clear content, in the beginning f2p took a lot longer to clear then whales but that didn't stop f2p from playing. Also there is a lot more to this game then just end game battles, there is story and exploration. If you don't care about meta and end game then pull for who you like, but as a newer player if you like meta there are lots of guides and tier lists to help you choose who to pull whether new or a rerun. Characters always come back around and new ones might catch your eye. Also, as for storyline we have had 3 planets but it is not going to take as long to catch up as you think.
im f2p lost fireflys 50/50 ., somehow got to pity again (took me literally to 80), then i won ruan mei and firefly lc early somehow .., im praying i can either get ruan mei's lc ., or go for e1 firefly. ., but being f2p theres literally no way for me to get the jades to pull
Huohuo isn't a horrible choice but Gallagher is just way better for break due to his debuff he applies with his ult. (Increases break damage the enemys receive) If your pulling for firefly you have a decent chance of getting him if you don't already since he's one of the 4 stars on her banner.
don't think I've ever been that tempted to swipe for Eidolons... >.< Will probably skip her Light Cone and go with the 4-star one, just to keep my wallet save!

should i go for fireflys e1 or lightcone? i have s5 fall of aeon so i can always give her that but because of how strong her e1 and e2 seem im not sure what to pick

is 2800 atk the max number wherein she converts the extra 10 atk into 0.8% break affect? or you can go beyond 2800 atk and the extra 10 atk can still be converted into 0.8% break effect?

You do realize, that you would ideally use both, right? Of course, if you had to decide, you would pick HMC since we all get HMC for free and don't have to spend our resources. That being said, if you can get both Ruan Mei and Firefly, absolutely do. Ruan Mei has been called the best buffer in the game even before her Break Effect/Efficiency did anything meaningful. With a dedicated break team, she's of course absolutely nuts.
i wish i didint skip Raun Mei to E6 Kafka back then i feel like i should skip Firefly instead to get Jade which makes me sad so i can save up next time for her rerun since i only have like 10 pulls saved up with high pity with Guarantee ready with 10 pulls Sadge
So, if I can reach 140-150 speed with just sub stats alone, it’s alright to use Atk boots? Assuking maxed out talents, Ruan Mei, etc. Not gonna try for the 280 speed
