Everyone over here is arguing over what instrument is best, take away any instrument and it will effect the song negatively, can't we all just get along?
Take away flute, rip high notes that other instruments can't reach. Take away lowbrass, rip song, take away trump,(et, lol that's what we call it in school) rip song. Take away clarinet, rip song. Take away percussion, rip rhythms. Evry1 iz important.
Take away tenor sax/french horn: wait we had those?? Take away trombone/baritone/euphonium: sounds kind of boring. Take away low instruments- tuba/bass clarinet/bassoon/bari sax: no low notes but still good song except for the start of the song. Take away flute/pocclo/clarinet: high notes leave because other instruments cant reach them Take trumpet: song sucks Take away alto sax: sadly nobody cares Take away percussion: no cool solos in mazama
This is probably my favorite band song that I have played it sounds boring just playing by urself but when the whole band and percussion plays it just sounds amazing I have a concert and like over 500 people are gonna play this song.
EndieTheGirl 728 oh i understand. i tried it once and couldnt make a sound. eventually i managed to make a sound, but it was so hard. tuba is so much easier.
Oh yeah Bari sax fight me nah jk I've played all the saxes I've been playing for six years and the tenor was one one of my favs but I'm currently playing the Bari and it's my fav you should try it.
My band and I are practicing it at the moment, and we sound almost excatly like this, and I am a clarinet!!! one of the most important parts in this peice!!! LOVE IT
Playing this in 6th grade band. GO TROMBONES!!!!! We just started and our beginning sounds awesome. Gonna take a lot of dedication to play this one good for Fine Arts Show, baby!😎
I played this in 6th grade already it was the easiest song we played. I play the clarinet and this is not difficult. GO CLARINETS. GO NEW WEST CHARTER MIDDLE SCHOOL
+jeffking48 So? Bass is like that too. remove bass and songs lack that kind of sound heard to explain. If you listen to bands I think you will understand bass gives the song more depth.
Yes, but same as any part. You'll lose almost all melody if you take out clarinets, melody, harmony, and counter melody and counter harmony with clarinet 1s 2s and 3s. (I don't remember if this song had a 3 part.), flutes, no higher parts than 1st clarinet and no high melody. Remove the brass and you take out the backbone of the song, no percussion, no rhythm and the others may get off time.
I used to be the gong and wind chimes guy but then I got promoted the drummer and now I have to keep a near perfect tempo or the whole song falls apart
This was one of our pieces at M.O.B (Mackay Orchestra and Bands Competition) and we got gold (Highest Award) and got overall best band. I played trombone
I am playing this song in band(I play the saxophone) and my grade isn't supposed to play this song cause it is harder for our grade but we are so talented we did :3 XD
ikr low brass is awesome in this song. I play baritone, and at the beginning of the song, when the gong and low brass play together, it feels like the whole room is caught in an earthquake
