Whenever I'm having a really good dream and wake up and then try to get back to it when I fall back asleep, it always becomes a twisted horrible version of the original one..... Also at one of my childhood friend's house there was this old gothic framed mirror on a creaky staircase that every time I walked past, out of the corner of my eye I saw someone! ......................He looked just like me! 😉

I have learned lucid dreaming and how to recognize it and control it. So much fun!

The things happening to your friend in the first story is what happens to my brother all the time. He saw figures and heard noises so often when going to bed I looked into it and its sleep hallucinations (hypnagogic hallucinations). It super creepy the things he sees >_

Oh my god, I get sleep paralysis whenever I sleep on my back. When I first started getting it, auditory hallucinations were involved. For one I could hear a random man have a conversation with someone, but I couldn’t hear the other person. For the other I just heard what sounded like a witch laughing in my ears it was high and shrill and exactly like the movies. I honestly wasn’t even scared with that one because I had already had 7 episodes of sleep paralysis that night and it was just annoying at that point lol.

I recommend "Small Town Horror" podcast - it sounds like exactly the kind of scary serialized podcast you're looking for, Evan. Very similar to a radio drama with voice actors and sound effects.

I have nightmares on nightly basis. Sleep paralysis is terrifying. I wish so much that I had help getting up. Staying in that state and hallucinating your worst fears is absolutely terrifying. Didnt know y'all had a podcast til recently. So I'm kinda binging them lol. Y'all make my work day so much better.

Katelyn! Don't mess around about the hat man. Apparently he's a type of shadow person who's more menacing than the standard shadow peeps.

War of the Worlds was originally broadcast on the radio and it only said once at the beginning that it was a fictional story so some people thought it was real for a while.

Halloween is my favorite. Still a big old goth kid at heart too. I grew up on horror movies, X-files, Coast to Coast AM, Sightings. All the spoopy things. 99.9999% sure my childhood home was haunted. Sadly I havent been able to do real Halloween type things in so many years. I cant wait to finally move back to the states and have an actual home that I can decorate.

I know I’m late to the scary party but … you laughed at the suggestion of a hat on a shadow figure… that is actually a real phenomenon in the world of ghosts!! It’s usually a man shaped shadow figure wearing a hat and generally menacing 😬. Anyway in case you see this, I’m a newer subscriber and love all your channels, it great to have all these episodes to catch up on between current videos!!💚

Once I tried sleeping through the morning and since it was already bright outside, I put a pillow over my head. I was probably in and out of sleep, then I had sleep paralysis. So there I was, I had some difficulty breathing but I couldn't move and the only thing that I could see was my pillow. It felt like that for 10 minutes (it probably only lasted for a minute). I haven't covered my head with a pillow ever since. podcast 👻👻👻👻👻(5/5)

I used to get very scary sleep paralysis it felt very demonic and like there was something heavy on me and I couldn’t breathe or move. It’s been a couple of months since but still remember them vividly.

I would totally watch surveillance videos of Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie!! 😍

Oh, I'm reminded of the time some of us cousins were spending the night w/ Pawpaw & Nanny Grace and I had a nightmare that a monkey was after me but it turns out that Fifi, Nanny Grace's French poodle, had her paws up on the edge of the bed and was looking at me. Fifi was a gentle dog but somehow being looked at got into my dream :o.

I'm NOT a scared person, I'm never afraid of the supernatural... But it's my 3rd week living alone and man I'm spoopying my pants listening to this, what's happening to meeeee

Mini scary story: once at a Halloween we went with more indoor decor, and I was walking up the stairs to get into my pjs and I saw one of those pictures where it changes at different angles,BUT I didn't know that! I walked up over to it and all the people in the portrait originally were students in uniforms in a class,but as the angle changed THEY TURNED INTO REAL-LOOKING ZOMBIES. Remember,at the time I was only eight years old! Extra: when I was six, I found our roomates 'the walking dead' book and read it. To this day I have a hori ble fear of zombies.

Kyball Charlie still lives in the deep wild forests of the California High Sierra's. This has been going on for a long time. He fell off a cliff when he was a teenager, mangled a leg and had an eye pushed out of its socket. They searched but could never find his body. The first sighting happened a couple year's later on a summer Boy Scout back packing trip. In the middle of the night, in the dark, a scout was sitting on a latrine, which used to be called a "Kyball". He heard a foot step and then a dragging foot. Step, drag. Step, drag. Step, drag -- then there was an eiry silence, a very long eiry silence, a very long scary eiry screaming silence. Suddenly with a shout Kyball's face with his dried eyeball was right in front of him. Kyball Charlie violently pushed the scout into the latrine, laughing like a creepy crazy person, and then he disappeared into the forest. Sometimes he mimics crickets or frogs or owls in the night, but you can tell the difference. YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE. If you leave a chocolate candy bar on a tree stump near by, he sometimes will leave you along. BUT HE HATES PEANUT BUTTER. Don't even think about having Reese Bars in your back pack. They have never found the body of a single person who did that. Other than that, it is no big deal.

One more thing . . . a few years ago, I'm sitting down to supper and I hear a metal clang. I look around the house and don't see anything, so I go back to my supper. Afterward I look again and find the funeral card for my great-great grandfather Thomas Wade in its metal frame on the hearth where it had fallen off the mantel even tho' it hadn't been sitting close to the edge. I pick it up and look at it and realize that the centenary of his death was in two days!!! Spooky!!! And we know the cemetery where he's buried but not the exact location of his plot.

Have you guys watched Glam&Gore? The last couple years she's done a "haunted places" series through October for Halloween, and this years has been FANTASTIC

I had this on while doing my Pusheen cross stitch and looked up during a scary story and you were holding hands! 😅 Lol. When you said what other settings would be good, my immediate thought was doing one from your bed, but not in *that* way, I was like more like John Lennon and Yoko Ono... 🤣

saved this one for haloween eve, glad i did, very nice podcast to get into a nice mood. also i would love to have a podcast about the behind the scenes of teamtrees, like how did you all manage it? which platforms did you use to keep contact, how did you keep it secret etc. would love to hesr how it is to work with so many youtubers on one project, maybe you only found out after the other people made their videos? please make an episode about this kind of stuff, i could write a bunch more questions as a guideline for ya if you want to. anyways nice episode as always

I don’t get why the #TeamTrees counter on RU-vid videos is so low. It’s at 1.8 million right now. But on the team trees website it says 5.6million. It’s been way behind this whole time. Hopefully they get it fixed soon cuz that’s a huge difference!!

I had something similar happen with a dream about a house. Not the inside but the outside. It was a hilly area and a pretty steep street plus every house was a huge Victorian style. My husband and I, years later, are driving around upstate NY in a town I've never been and there was the EXACT street of houses from my dream. I made him ride up and down the street multiple times and just totally freaked out. Nothing else came of it but that had never happened before and not since. Maybe we should have bought and destroyed it lol. This podcast = 👻👻👻👻👻 Happy Halloween! 🎃

When ever I saw my shadow when I was little I would cry and be really scared. And when I was little I was a night walker and I had night mares during when I walked.. You guys aren't the only ones I've been there 😆

We have this summerhouse on the west coast, and it’s so wired and kinda creepy; every first night at the house I have the same dream about this elevator that leads to an endless road on a field, en at the end I see this floating, black, cloak thing. I turn around, the elevator is gone, I turn again and see the thing on a cinema screen, then I walk out of there and enter the same room with the elevator; and then the dream is over... and I get the exact same dream every time 😱

One time when i was young i walked in the hallway and saw a black shape on the ground and i was yeah its the cat but next morning my mom told me the cat had been out for all day. That really spooked me because i was wandering what did i saw last night?

The neighbors: "Who the heck are those strange people next door talking to? Do you see anyone?"

I would visit my uncle (who’s house I was sure was haunted) and after a very scary haunting experience I started having sleep paralysis, with hallucinations, and paralyzed dreams, where I feel like I wake up in my bed and can hardly move and can’t talk, but I know if I can find someone else in my house to help me I would be okay...so I drag myself to someone and either they do something horrifying or I collapse before I get there, and I ‘wake’ up again and do it all over and over 😥

Anyway.. The worst thing to do is tell your spouse about a vivid dream because how much you see it in your head, the other is like whatever. It's hard to tell the moods and body feelings in YOUR dream to someone who wasn't there. So i stopped telling... I have recurrent dream of a lurking demonic spirit that lives in the basement of a big apartment complex (kind like the thing that get out of the toilet in silent hill) and there's always full of cats

Those long white legs were distracting in this dark setting. 🤣😂 It made me realize the only time we see Evans legs is on the main channel. Sometimes I forget Evan has legs since all the other content is made behind the resin desk. Either way with or without legs you are still the best!!! 😋
