Compilation of Firestorm's closed testing from the very first test in 2020 to today. As this video shows, nothing is final and will continue to change. Music is from C&C Tiberian Sun, C&C Tiberian Sun: Firestorm OST, and Firestorm's OST.
Yes, they memic the Tiberian sun units perfectly in the way they appear to be done, unlike that artillery from C&C3 that looks like a hovercraft with a cannon attached on the right side. I wonder why they put it on the right side. Which is a total peace of trash in other worlds, EA troll, the C&C fan, and other NOD units have been ruined in C&C3, like the banshee, the scorpion tank, and the buggy.
Can't deny. That re-imagining of the Tick Tank is awesome. Instead of some defensive bonus they gave it utility by actually being able to peek over terrain as needed. Plus that animation. The springiness really sells the mass getting lifted as fast as physically fast. Like it really looks like if it went faster it might just snap, which is as NOD as it can get.
I love the Avatar, but not the Mammoth Mk. II. The Mammoth Mk. II looks next to nothing like it's Tiberian Sun counterpart, compared to the Wolverine and Titan, which do fit Totem Arts' style and stay true to Tiberian Sun.
Wasn't it renamed into Mastodon long ago in latest instance of C&C, so to not confuse with a tank? I do know of course that it's armament is different than 30 years earlier as per lore, as I did master C&C4 to know such basics. Meanwhile Renegade X still has mk1 mammoth tanks, for global convenience it'd be better for Renegade X devs to make a freedom decision to keep up with the pace of user friendliness, in competitive matches nobody's gonna wait to communicate if the mammoth is actually Mark 1 or 2, since they clearly already took freedom in design decision variability from original game assets.
Tiberian Sun is my favorite childhood game. How did I not know about this for this long? This is an incredible project. Is there any way to get access? I'll even contribute time for free to see this through.
The shield tank seems cool. Interesting idea to allow for building construction. That might make the game last a really long time. I do like putting the door code on the buildings so that it is hard to enter and set charges.
This looks super Goood! awesome I shall wait till you guys feel ready to release it! As when it does I am defiently going to be some of the first ones on it!
I assume the Nod counterpart to the Mammoth Mk. II seen at the end was an Avatar warmech, and while I do like the redesign of the Mammoth Mk. II, it barely has any aspects that resemble its Tiberian Sun version.
They could so easily print money. They got the studio, the engine, and the rights to do a battlefield style Command & Conquer game. But they just dont do it. EA is stupid.
The HUD image at the end of the video is extremely great. I hope they implement this in every infantry unit, so that each one has a unique helmet shaped HUD design.
Holy, this looks amazing. All the designs look incredible, I especially liked the tick tank and the Tiberium flora in 3D. It makes me want to see some red zone maps.
@@commanderwookiecopc806 it’s concept art, they trying to fit the style of their current 3d wolverine and titan on on to the Mastodon mk1. The legs are actually really a great redesign, the body could do with some work on it. Rail guns definitely need a bit of a redesign. You have to remember the original version of the Mammoth MK2 is a box with no features.
Sadly, to me, it looks like a regressive decline in design aspects that enticed me for the project With every update, I got less interested instead of more simply cause the design direction for gameplay stepped imo the wrong way. It won't be a bad game probably, but it stopped being an exciting game for me to wait for since around 2022 stuff
I was gutted to not be brought along to test the Closed Beta but i can't argue how much i'm looking forward to seeing the full release of Firestorm. the crew do great work
Does anyone know a good way to be able to play Battlefield bad company 2, but offline with teams of bots? And levelling not unlocked so I can progress? I loved that game so much growing up but could never afford internet and play..
That huge ass Avatar Warmech made me lost my shit. Both super units have an issue in their leg design. Looks a bit dumb with these toes. To support their mass they need strong and bulk legs without overengieneered stuff. So like Megatron and AT-AT
WOW, the mech animation is crisp and that giant four legged mech as well (forgot the names of this mechs sorry) also is there a way to join in to the playtest of this game?
I still have a tons of space on my computer still waiting for this game to make it's it way out to the tiberian sun rising light an make the command and conquer awesome again.
It looks interesting, but to be honest, I am slightly disappointed in the direction the design went. In many ways what I think I wanted was basically just Renegade X with new units, maps, and strategies. Beyond that cutting down the players to 32 vs 32 to 24 vs 24 is a bit of a bummer. It's really too bad that there was no chance of going beyond that to maybe 50 vs 50 or even 64 x 64 which would have been incredible. Ultimately I'm a big fan of the original Renegade/RenX formula and at this point with how tight the community is it seems like Firestorm will essentially just clear out the RenX servers for a long time if not forever. Hopefully at the very least the game brings in new players who stick around and maybe the community grows as a whole to help avoid that. I'm definitely excited to play it when it's fully released but I don't think at least from what I've seen so far that it will hit on any of the nostalgia notes that make Renegade X something I continue returning to.
i used to play a lot of renegade back in the day. my fav thing was to be a stealth black hand, pick up a sniper rifle dropped from a killed sniper, boom im an invisible one shot killer if someone stands still long enough for me to headshot em
walker and wheeled, or threaded mechs going toe to toe would be awesome, why isn't there any other game doing it? also playing as harvester to chill and generate base resource would be 'why's there farming simulator on battlefield' only to end up the tiberian field becoming real disputed warzone 😂
@@DroxElite that's not the problem. The problem is gamedesign when it comes to hitting far off targets with non-hitscan all while models can jitter in pro player hands if you abuse jumps , strafe hitbox fuckery and sprint properly. Making even the APC with miniguns (or officers with miniguns) suck at their job because you can't slowdown the bunnyhoppies. Not only that but the TTK also makes one go for cheapshotting with Ramjets because anything non-OHKO weapon requires aimbot amounts of hand and brain constitution to keep it at the very least at 50% of hitrate. Not even counting headshots. So holding out with a Ramjet I'd actually more viable than holding out with Patch's Bullpup or Officer's mini. OG Renegade has sidetracked the problem by making it as "strategy turned fps" as possible by having only one movespeed, even if they had no inertia (just like RenX)
.... That's literally what was meant by the infantry being more grounded. It's significantly closer to something like Battlefield/Planetside. You're doing yourself a disservice to your own aim if you try bunny hopping....also there's actual acceleration on the sprinting, as opposed to RenX where your speed kind of just .... instantly becomes sprint speed. Also, as someone who still plays X and OG, I'd say it's easier to AD-strafe to the point of pretty much teleporting in OG Ren, if it doesn't look like it on your own client. Also OG Ren's TTK is substantially longer since the weapons basically only do damage on headshots (baseline 5.0x headshot multiplier). It's why most people coming back to OGRen start avoiding infantry combat...as Ramjets and 500 snipers dominate both long and short range due to the amount of time it takes for pretty much any weapon to kill (especially if you're in 3rd person and keep getting the reticle bug where it moves you down to their neck instead their neck ...reeee)
I think this is very suitable for the GDI in this game. On the contrary, the Juggernaut Mecha is less suitable for the GDI style than the Mammoth MKII here, but it is added to the game nonetheless.
@@LANLU-wr9othe's talking about the design, not the unit itself Also, yeah, I believe that's one of the first designs. Progress on that has been slow lately
I am really holding it in, but I want it ready so bad! The concepts you showed at the end were so cool! Some of the Nod concepts remind me of Twisted Insurrection, particularly the Cyborg Reaper.
hope they incorporate some additonal units from mods like Tiberian Sun Ion Shock mod for Red alert 2, and Tiberium Essence mod for CnC3 or even Cnc3 Crossfire mod
