Bombs were dropped on London destroying buildings. After the war in about 1947 I remember seeing all these beautiful wild flowers blossoming in the ruins of houses. My father told me the pink ones were Rose bay willow herb. To me they were beautiful. A sign of regeneration and rebirth.

Ha! I didn't know that is why it is called that! I know in Fairbanks Alaska, when they bloom at the top of the stalk, you can mark the calendar, and 6 weeks later you get first snow.

Thanks for this...I have some great willowherb not the rosebay type, and was curious if you can make tea from it..Research suggests it's good anyway, lots of vitC..Smells tea like already without fermenting..
