Nice chute Jeff, that’s a lot up fines. When I grocery shop , only by paper bags, support the paper industry and reuse the bags, fill about half full, add to wood stove throughout the day, bag and all. Feels good to use everything. Have a good weekend Bud

Hi Jeff, most don't show this, it's amazing how much waste you get from splitting ( waste is my kindling). I watch a few channels and wonder how they keep themselves and the splitting area so clean, they must hide it, ha ha. I now put an old trampoline mat on the floor and catch the mess onto that. Good vid, thanks for the share. If I increase production I'd like a conveyor.

Just a quick, simple design you say. For you, with your skill and equipment, it may be quick and simple. It looks like a good investment to me, quite effective. One advantage I see with your design is that it occupies very little vertical space. Others that I have seen hang download a lot. You never said how you got the idea. I suppose it is mostly your invention. Thank you for sharing it with us. It looks like some big holes in the top of it that wood would get caught in but they must be able to leap over or bounce over, depending on the orientation of the individual piece of wood.

@@matthewsfirewood89 LIKE GRIZZLY BARS, BUT BETTER. I did a search for "grizzly bars" and this video showed up. Then I saw that I commented one year ago. Although your cleaner that you invented is not grizzly bars, it looks like it is what you needed and also the cost would be less than grizzly bars. It does not occupy as much vertical space. One thing that is special about yours are those wide holes for the debris. I have not seen this style anywhere else. What is the one-year update on this thing? Do you still use it? What modifications have you made? Have you tried any alternatives? I believe your invention should get more recognition. If some of those other firewood channels would demonstrate, it might take off. There may be some way that you could sell this idea. The problem is that it is so easy to copy and build. Outstanding video.

Is this the first version that you built and you just stayed with the first version? I see it has three large holes going across. Could you put another row or two of large holes going across so then you would have six or nine holes? I suppose 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch rods would be adequate. To optimize this invention some experimentation with different sized holes would be needed. Do you know of others who have tried this cleaner and what has been their results?

I just noticed another thing different. With grizzly bars people let their wood drop but you don't let your wood drop onto the cleaner. Your cleaner is higher and closer so the wood slides onto it. It might help if you got some camera shots from the top and the top end. Also you could take it out of there and do more camera shots if you wanted to. That might help to show critical details that make your device perform so well.

Does Hudson know about this? I would expect that conveyor manufacturers would like to know about your cleaner. Have they seen it? What is their opinion?

If u filled ibcs with the fines and wood scraps u could get $20-$40/tote full. Cutoffs and odd pieces are what u should be selling for boilerwood also. Start stick piling ibcs full for this fall. all wood 🔥burns. Everything has a market value. Just have to advertise it online

Wood scraps are useful as fertilizer and mulch around trees shrubs and in the garden. Rotten wood does not work well for fill. The ashes or the wood is a valuable resource when recycled into the soil for growing new plants. The ashes are the minerals which are good for plants, animals and people.
