Hey Cletus As a ex wrecker driver I'll give you a recommendation with the flatbed do not rev it to high with the PTO pump going because you will grenade that pump and those are really pricey rev if needed about a grand max And by the way not bad for a Chevy flatbed sitting for 2 years and the tractor The freedom factory is coming together hell ya brother

with that amount of "campsite" land available a weekend series of events should be a blast. everything from go-karts and drifting to full on oval track sedans can be run on the facility so go for it. all the best of luck with your new venue

You guys hit the Jackpot, I’ve loved every video since you bought the factory.

Theres safety “latch’s” on the front of the wreckers deck to keep it held securely down while transporting. Have to slide deck back a foot or 2 before tilting up. Passenger sides “latch” is broken thats why it tilted sideways.

The flatbed has latches the bed slides into when it's all the way forward that keeps the bed from going up and holds it down while the PTO is off and you're hauling something on it. You have to slide the bed back about a foot before lifting it.

I hope you find more of these cars and tractors, good content, love these abandon stuff.

So perfect that the track had only been closed for a fairly short amount of time. Improves the odds that the machinery and equipment there can be brought back into service with not too much effort. I was totally thrilled to see that it looks like there was no evidence of vandalism at least that shown in the videos. You guys rocked it!

Cleetus, Most States have a "green incentive" to convert old lighting to new LED lighting - My old storage shop and yard I got a 30K job paid for by the government for around $1600 out of pocket! Look up what your state has, may save you a craaaap ton of money on lighting.

you seriously need to do an "before and after" vid once everything is done! fully document the journey from "abandoned" to "freedom factory" with a montage of bloopers and best moments as a milestone video for your channel.

I'm having major Cars 2 flashbacks when they arrived at the old Thomasville track and lit it up for the first time in years. I have a feeling the restoration of the track and facility will go smooth based on how happy the tractor and ramp truck were when they were started for the first time in years. It might sound stupid, but that track is happy you are there!

Seriously man, try to find some local goat farmers to see if he'd let his goats at all the weeds. It'd take a week probably but you'd put in no labor and they usually do it for free.

This is a smaller version of when my friend bought what he thought was a small abandoned building and lot that was surrounded by fence w barbwire to start a shop and store cars & bikes. Bought it from City Auction for unpaid taxes around $7000.00. When they took possession and entered the shop they found a late 80’s tow truck with ALL the gear and extra dolly’s, chains, strapping, etc ($5000/$8000). Then under a HEAVY cover in the corner was a 1970’s Cadillac coupe convertible in PERFECT condition with 2500 miles on it. Someone had put boxes of mothballs in the trunk, engine, and the floorboards to keep out the rats. Boxes were empty but the mothball smell lingered enough and it worked. We flagged down a local cop and explained what we found. He was cool and HONEST by telling us “If I run these VIN #’s now and they comeback stolen I’m required to tow them out of here. You ‘might’ want to go to DMV and just apply for ‘lost titles’ and if there aren’t ANY claims/flags on the titles they are LEGALLY yours...” He didn’t have to give us that “option” but it was VERY cool for him to tell us that “option” Because that’s what we did. Both tow truck and Caddie fired up fine and just needed good cleaning and regular maintenance. We sold the Cadillac for 45k and it paid for WHOLE PLACE plus ALL the repairs to the car lifts hydraulics, new epoxy floor, oil burning heater system, etc. Anyway, it’s going to be interesting to see what else these guys “find” along the way here with their new “playground”...👍👍

This channel is my #1 favorite channel on RU-vid. I've been watching since just before Cleetus & Cooper took on LeRoy as a project. I've watch their collection of cars grow from Project Neighbor, The Dale Truck, Ruby, The Jet Car (even though they discontinued that due to safety concerns), The Ford Galaxie, The MINI BOGGER 3000, The Crustang, Toast, The Mystery Machine, The Golf Cart, Cooper's CTS-V Wagon, Cleetus' Can-Am Turbo RR, James' Nissan 240SX... I have kept up with ALL the builds these guys have worked on & now that they've gone out & bought a damn race track. OMG... this is just the beginning guys. You watch! These guys are going places in the next 5, 10, 20 years. I plan on watchin all of it too!

Hey Cleetus, The one thing to remember about the flat bed roll back truck is you ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS slide the bed back enough to dis-engage the bed locks. If not, you stand a chance at busting a hydraulic hose or worse yet getting everything dumped on top of you when it breaks loose. Y'all know what I mean when ya look at how it slides together. Other than that, Y'all have fun and don't get hurt.

Two suggestions. 1. We get an ASMR video series of James making sweet sweet progress on the restoration of the two yard machines. 2. Put an 8.1 in the flatbed and make it a burnout truck that you can do a burnout on. Let's see how much boost a stock 496 can take!
