Update: While I did see results with this device, and I do think it is a very well made device, I am no longer using it. Firstly, it was too time consuming, secondly, the company did not like me being honest about the fake before and after pictures and asked me to edit that part out of the video (which of course I did not do). I will always give you my honest opinion and will not be censored by a company.

As usual, you have broken this down to be realistic and understandable. I'm particularly interested in the use of ultrasound for scar tissue. I have a small cluster of atrophic acne scars on one cheek that I would love to use this on. I could tell immediately which side of the neck you used the Mira on - it is a noticeable difference! I agree about not using anything on our face or body that we don't understand. If you ever need video ideas I'm your gal LOL. I am always full of questions! One of the questions I have after this video is whether EMS is truly beneficial for the face. I've heard conflicting information on whether it increases or decreases ATP. The Truth Treatment energy device with EMS is a trendy product now but until I understand the technology I won't try it. I started using NuFace microcurrent about a month ago and not sure it's made a difference yet. Thanks for all you do!

I am glad this video made sense, and thank you for your feedback. At times I worry I bore you guys with information you are not interested in. You know, on their website they show the Mira working on scar tissue, but I am a bit sceptical. I think one of the best things you can do for that is micro needling, and TCA peels. I actually purchased the TT energy treatment and can not use it. It is insanely strong and I look as if I am having a stroke when using it. EMS versus Micro Current is def. confusing, and maybe I can make a video on it. I do think that EMS is not a bad modality, if not overdone. I think about it like a workout for your facial muscles (or wherever used) Like a workout, we wont to think quality over quantity. A good workout will build muscle, a bad one (meaning overtraining) will lead to the break down of muscle. I had the NuFace and have to say I did not see any difference either. I actually had the old one and loved it, saw results with it as well, but the new one did nothing for me I was just silly enough to purchase the ZIIP. It is expensive and the app you need with it does not work :( I need to find a less expensive hobby ;) And yes, please share your video Ideas!!! xo

@@claudiaglows I couldn't handle EMS then! I use the Nuface on the 3 (medium) setting because of the tingles. About the scar, I've been microneedling it and have had the RF microneedling treatment at a medspa. It helped, but didn't completely erase it. I'm having a dermatologist consult this week. I really think it needs subcision and a dermal filler but I'll see what he says. I'm not willing to undergo the expense of more in-office microneedling. I'll see what he recommends about a peel (those are one of the few things that I'm scared to do at home, although I may try the biorepelle you suggested after summer is over) As far as ultrasound - I don't have high hopes it will break up scar tissue but I did order one today that is 1 MHZ. Sorry, I didn't get the Mira because I found another device with the 1 MHZ spec for only $125.00 and is USA-based. Worth a shot! If nothing else, it may help vitamin c and HA penetration. Sorry the Ziip is being a pain, I don't want a device I have to use with an app because I'm technologically challenged LOL. Keep all the awesome videos coming!

Claudia, this was a great review. I've been eyeballing ultrasound not only for it's anti-aging benefits but for managing pain. I had hip surgery a couple of years ago. Lovely to see you Claudia. This was an interesting review. I own and use the TMPro, and I love it. In my opinion the results are both instant and cummulative. I agree that it does use a form of EMS, but I also cannot find much information about the device, only what's available online. However, I disagree that the LED is useless. I own the Aduro Mask, and I would say that the TMPro is equally as effective as an LED device as the Aduro mask. This is just my opinion of course. I have no data to back it up. Thanks Claudia. Great video!

Good Morning Claudia - interesting device, I see that you have reviewed many devices. I am still trying to decide if I want a Foreo Bear or a NuFACE device - I keep watching different videos and I think I am overthinking it and confusing myself more. Your skin is beautiful - I do see a slight difference on your neck (it is hard on my computer screen) - I am going to view your other videos on skincare devices and have never used anything but a micro needling tool (which I love!) Thank you for taking the time to review this device - Enjoy your day!

Hi Tracey, it is lovely to hear from you. You know, none of these devices are necessary :). I think micro needling gives you the most bang for your money, for sure. I do like micro current, and enjoy using it, but I have not tried the Foreo, so I can't really help you with your decision. Hi Tracey, I have the Foreo Bear. I liked it at first, but it became a bear to use, no pun intended. On your phone you have to go to the app and go through the program. The app is not lined out very well in my opinion. You have to watch this lady put her gel on her face before using the Foreo Bear. When you are in a hurry, you do not need to see her do that every single time. The bear was handy to use and I liked it, but wanted to venture off and do my own program. That is when the problem, for me, started. I wrote the company two times and they are very nice to write back with an answer, pretty quickly. However, sometimes the Bear would turn on and work (without using the app) and sometimes it would take 5 to 10 minutes of fooling around with it to get it on. You have to double click on it, and it will then supposedly start. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. I loved it but couldn’t put up with it. I have heard others have the same problem. I have heard also, that some people have had trouble with their Nuface breaking. I never got that device though. I got the Myolyft Mini for my first one and it just didn’t do enough for me, especially for the price!!! So, next, not giving up 😀 I went with the FreezeCo Beauty’s Truth Treatment Systems NRGY Current Device. You can feel that it actually works. I have been using it for 4 ? Months now and I feel like it is tightening my face. Of the three devices I prefer that one. I first saw it on Tammy’s Ageless Beauty, where she gave a demo of it, and gave her opinion. She used to use the Nuface too, and has nothing against the Nuface at all, but prefers the NRGY device. I hope this helps you in your decision. I know….all these devices are expensive, and more than that, they take time to use. If you don’t use them they are a waste of money, and space in the drawer. I am also using the Nebulyft radio frequency device. I like it so much better than the other device I purchased and used for months-the Newa device. That was not fun to use, and it would, at times, burn you, if you didn’t keep the device moving. The Nebulyft is one that goes very slowly and is a pleasure to use, again, in my opinion. I am anxious to try the ultrasound device though. Claudia’s skin is so beautiful and I saw a difference on her neck, and only in two months!! I hope this helps you in your search for devices. The more information you get, the better decisions you can make, and know that everyone is different. We all like different things. That’s OK too. I remember Claudia didn’t see much happening with the Nira. For some reason, it works on me, and when I stopped it for about 4 months, I could tell things were reversing. So I started using it again. Things are coming back now. I do hate the Nira device. I use it on the top level 5, and it hurts. No pain, no gain????? Another device, while we are talking about them, that I like is the Kennzi hair removal device. It works. Lastly, and probably more info than you wanted, is my Aduro Face Mask. I use it on my head for my hair, and I have all these little hairs growing in on the top and at my front hairline. I use it on my face too though! For my hair I do 3 settings-wrinkle reducer, cell rejuvenator, and skin booster. Then I am lucky if my face gets 1 setting, as the treatments are 20 minutes per cycle! I wish they would design all devices to be 1 minute per area. That would help.

@@texassews535 OMgosh! Thank you so much for your information :) I can start off by saying the Foreo Bear will be off the list - I did see that they had an app - I not very fond of using an app for a device. Claudia, I can see results in your neck and softness there too. I think this device is going to be a winner. What I have found is that you have to wait and be patient to see results. You will not get them in 1 week, or 1 month. I am a year into this and I am seeing results at 70. My dermatologist told me what beautiful skin I have (believe me, it’s nothing like yours!!!! But for my age group my skin is younger looking). Then my daughter-in-law told me yesterday how nice my skin looks and she said I am looking 50. I’ll take that, even if it’s probably not true!! My skin is slower to respond to the treatments, probably because of my age, than yours would respond. However, I don’t care. This is like an experiment to me, and it’s working little by little. I have used the Nebulyft on my hands. There is a huge difference in them. They really looked old, but they don’t any more. So, I want to get the ultrasound device and see if the skin will improve with that too. If the routine didn’t take so darn long to do it would be lovely. Thank you for reviewing this device and letting us know about it. You look beautiful and your skin really does glow.

But what I know about ultrasound is that there is a thermal effect which causes swelling; so very generic novice knowledge but any device which has a thermal impact will do this to some degree (and have varying impacts depending on the type of wave, like RF and all the others people are trying on their faces lol 😁). Hi, Claudia! New, fair, blond, 46-year-old subscriber here! With your PA experience, I'd like to know which devices you would think do not increase growth factor? My dermatologist has had me apply flurouracil (chemotherapy cream) twice in two years to some spots on my nose, and it seems like they are pre-cancerous. Aside from loads of sunscreen, I'm super ready to get back to using my devices. I have used NuFace, Newa, and derma-rolling off and on for years as well as botox for the last year or so. Definitely keeping my skincare away from growth factors which can cause cancer to spread - at least what I've heard. The Mira is probably similar to the ul-therapy in the office proceedures? I want these spots laser'd off my face, but doc is hesitant to do that for some reason.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows 3 года назад
Hi Lanna it is lovely to hear from you. Do you know if the spots on your nose are actinic keratosis, or actual skin cancer? I have had several actinic keratosis spots on my face frozen of, just for them to reaper in other places. My dr prescribed also prescribed a chemotherapy cream, but instead I started using RetinA, which took all of the spots away, and they have not returned. Do you use RetinA? Studies on RetinA and skin cancer actually look very promising. As far as at home devices, I do not think you need to worry too much. I am not aware of any increasing growth factors. Micro needling does release growth factors (which is part of the healing process and collagen production), and while some anti dermarolling people claim it might cause cancer, there is absolutely no evidence of that. Personally, I do not think you need to stay away from stem cell serums, as long as they are oncology approved. I use Neogenisis Recovery, which is oncology approved, many other stem factor serums are as well. But, using stem cell or growth factor serums is not a must, and I completely understand if you want to stay away from them. I think with our skin type, the most important thing is SPF. But, RetinA has done wonders for me as well, and as mentioned, can be beneficial for skin cancer. As far as the Mira, it is by no means as strong as ultherapy and uses a different frequency. Ultherapy is done in office, and one needs supposedly only one treatment, is quite painful and promises face lift like results, versus the Mira is a therapeutic ultrasound, used to help with product penetration, and gentle encouragement of fibroblasts. I hope this helps, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have more questions. I am really happy you are here and hope you are having a great day xx

Hi Sue, I am glad you saw a small difference as well. LED light therapy will give you some of the same benefits as ultrasound, as far as increasing circulation and bringing nutrients to the cell, while also removing waste product. Hi Claudio, do you think ultrasound devices have improved since this video? I've purchased Nuface and the Myolift with no success years ago. I don't know if I didn't have enough conductive gel or devices were defective as I was so disappointed that I just stored them away. I know they're different than the ultrasound, and maybe I need to pull them out and try again if they even still work and use a better conductive gel. I certainly didn't have RU-vidrs (I know you don't like being referred to as an Influencer) that can guide me, which I really appreciate. I have a low pain threshold like the interview you had with The Honest Channel female. Sorry, I don't remember her name, that she found the Nira painful. Hi Yvette, thank you so much for your kind words. You know, I honestly do not think that home devices will make a huge difference. Microcurrent ultrasound, all of these modalities, can give subtle results, but I do think unless we take before, and after pictures, those results easily missed. I am not convinced, that at home ultrasound really does much at all, even with models. To me, the most bank, for the money is in microneedling, followed by LED light therapy, followed by Microcurrent. But again the results with Microcurrent, a quite subtle, and it is definitely something we have to continue doing, or else we lose the results. So, I would say since already have those devices, take them back out, take before pictures, use them regularly for about four weeks, and then take after pictures. You might just be surprised to see a small difference. But honestly, unless you don’t have a LED device yet, I would not bother buying new devices. With yellow pain threshold, I don’t know how you feel about microneedling. But you could always use numbing cream, or you could just go less deep. But again to me, micro needling, combined with LED is really what I have seen the biggest difference. I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have a .more questions Oh, I almost forgot, another device I have seen quite a few changes with, is the Oralift. You have probably seen me talk about it in videos. It is definitely a device I believe in, and it is absolutely pain-free. :-) xx

Hi Lena, lovely to hear from you. I am really liking the Mira. It is relaxing to use and I like the added benefit of being able to use it for pain or injuries. At home RF heats the deeper layers of our skin and works with heat shock proteins to create a slight tightening of the skin (it can also give you healthier looking skin since it does increase collagen) versus the Mira is more for product penetration and overall skin health. I would say if you are looking for a bit of tightening go with RF. If overall skin health, and a device you can use for possible pain or injury recovery is what you are interested in, the Mira. @@lizalim1559 I think that is one question we don't know quite yet how to answer. Powerful is good, but too powerful can cause fat loss. Not powerful enough will do nothing ;(. I believe the curve is also ultra sound, but I might be wrong. So the two are a bit hard to compare. I have the lumo but have honestly not invested the time to use it. I can tell you though that the 5 min once or twice a week the company says to use it gave me no results. So I would def. say you need to plan on investing more time than that

@@claudiaglows maybe it hasn’t worked for you since you’re already in great shape. I’m looking to work on my forehead/11s which are deep (too much sun, no hat) I’d be afraid to overdo it. If the Lumo hasn’t worked, the curve which has much lower RF would probably not do anything. Doesn’t the Lumo allow you to go down in intensity? Also, since the curve is said to work for body fat loss, would the Lumo work for that as well, hypothetically, if it’s the RF, it might, right. Thanks so much for your expertise.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows 2 года назад
@@lizalim1559 Yes, you can adjust the intensity on the Lumo. If you are using it on the forehead, I would not worry about fat loss. But theoretically RF can cause fat loss, if hot enough.

Hi Jessica Nothing really,. But it is speculated that it can deplete ATP, which we don’t want, since ATP helps with collagen production I think if not overdone, EMS is fine. I hope you are having a great weekend xx

I have just recently found your channel and am loving all your videos. Would this device be appropriate for under eye bags and sagging upper eyelids? If not, is there something you might recommend? I'm a lady of a certain age and while I have pretty good skin and very few wrinkles, at least for now, those are my biggest concern. Thanks for the wonderful information.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows 3 года назад
Hi Bridget, it is lovely to hear from you. I do not think this device would do anything for sagging upper eyes, unfortunately. As far as eye bags, if they are from lymph fluid collecting, I think it would help, but if they are genetic, or age related, it won't help. For your upper eyelids, laser or radio frequency micro needling can be helpful. Both of those are of course in office procedures. Some people have had good results with the Nira home laser, on their eyelids, for me however, it did nothing. Eye bags are tricky. There are many things you can do naturally, such as watch your diet, sleep with your head elevated.... But part of developing eye bags as we age, is fat redistributing. Let me do a bit more research to see if there are any at home devices that will help. I am sorry this device will not help with your concerns, but let me look a bit more into home devices or treatments for eye bags and I will get back to you I am really happy you are here and hope you are having a great day xx

Jennifer, I actually had stem cells as well as PRP injected in my neck. I broke it 19 years ago and it was giving me a lot of discomfort I have to say, the PRP was just as helpful, cheaper and mich less painful Look into PRP, and ask your doctor if it might help

@@meethakmeethak386 I would say that ultrasound, as well as LED light therapy, have a good influence on your lymph nodes.
