The thing is Maxim, when Alireza was losing in candidates , no one would say that he was unlucky.. but now he wins , it's obviously luck

That's not exactly what MVL is saying. In contrary, he is rather saying that Alireza's performance at Candidates was clearly not as bad as people suggested as he had some really bad luck there whereas in this tournament, he is saying Alireza had sometimes a bit of luck (especially against Fabi and himself) but he clearly didn't suggest he had more luck in this tournament than he had bad luck in the Candidates. To sum up, another balanced and fair comment by the always classy MVL
