What are the best poi moves for beginners to learn and in what order should they go? This list is my own take on the basics of beginner poi spinning. 10 tricks that will be intuitive for people who've never picked up a set of poi before that will build on previous knowledge to help you work up from your pendulums and reels to the butterfly, windmill, poi flower, stalls, and more! Whether your intended style is with contact, fire, dancing, or your own approach to flow, working through these tricks should help you learn to spin with ease and confidence, to say nothing of getting access to great tools for transitions.
