Starbucks customer pro tip: never order a shaken espresso drink without ice. It's dangerous for baristas to shake with no ice because the espresso is freshly poured and very hot!

Huge thumbs down boooo on Starbucks not allowing you to accept tips. I worked at a restaurant that put signs on the tables for people not to tip and guests would throw a -fit- how ridiculous it was that we couldn’t accept tips & I agree. I absolutely LOVED doing the opening shift simply bc of the prep work! and the baristas in target locations get extra points. we still had to memorize the codes. none of those stickers with the order written out for us.

Watching different baristas makings drinks have always been fascinating to me and I’ve been thinking about working at Starbucks for the longest time but I’ve been pretty hesitant to work there because I’m worried it might not be for me or I might not cut out for it. I am very socially awkward and my conversations isn’t all that good but I love to keep myself busy and preparing orders for people.

try pouring the espresso before the ice on the shaken espresso; going ice first, the espresso melts the cubes quicker and it becomes more watered down !

Starbucks is a get your coffee and out sugar drinks. I manage a small shop in cali some where around melrose they really don’t know coffee, but sweet heart your doing an amazing job keeping up with the drinks but at the end of everything it’s not the right way of doing them. Love you and keep your Head held high

what does shaking the espresso with syrup do? how is it different from mixing? froth? Or is it just more efficient since you dont have to stir it and use a bunch of spoons?
