I was happy with the Hepco&Becker engine guard that I got. It is the only one I know that wraps around the engine as opposed to "wings" flaring out. I also fitted a SW Motech bracket on the left side that allows me to latch on a SW Motech Legend bag. I am still thinking about a good exhaust but your Yoshimura does look nice. Your consideration for the paddock stand is a good one. I am still on the fence about an upsweep exhaust and how it may limit my options for a right side luggage system. Lastly, I'm not sure there is any way to make a pillion comfortable on the Rebel so I just decided to do away with it and replace it with an old look simple rack to give it a little more "bobber" feel.
@@oscarbadiola2039 Your plans for customizations sound really solid! Would be awesome to stay updated on your progress - do you have an Instagram? As for the Yoshimura exhaust just keep in mind that the colour of the bike makes a huge difference with how it looks as a whole. Ride safe ✌️
That exhaust with the insert has perhaps the best sounding tone and volume I think I've heard here on YT with the possible exception of Scorpion. Thinking about getting a Rebel 500 with either that Yoshimura or the Scorpion exhaust which also sounds amazing....plus it's black! If this Yosh came black and with the low volume insert that would be huge.
I totally agree with you! I'll have to check out the Scorpion as well but I felt like trying Yoshimura since I've been pretty loyal to Akrapovic for my last few bikes!
@@RideYEG Just got a 2021 SE version 2 weeks ago. First bike for this old noob. I'm back watching this and other exhaust vids. For sometime now even before getting my Rebel I've been really wanting the Miller exhaust. I think it's the absolute best looking and possibly sounding as well for the the Rebel but in this video you raise good point about being able to use a rear stand for chain maintenance etc.... The Miller exhaust has more of a 'cruiser' sound as well as look that matches the Rebel perfectly and still has great pops and crackles on deceleration. Tho this Yosh has a sports bike sound and look it really sounds great in your vid here. Tempting me still. Besides the premium price plus the insert the only thing that hangs me up about this is the aesthetics. The color, shape and huge logo. The color does look great on your bike. Mine is the matte black and that can would relate to nothing else on my bike.
@@dustytriumph Thanks for following up! All excellent points, I’m really curious to hear your thoughts on the Miller exhaust if you do end up getting it. And you’re absolutely right about the Yoshimura, I think they went in the wrong direction with the aesthetics especially for cruisers. That was something I was pretty concerned about but I lucked out on the color with my bike. Ride safe on that new 500🙏
biker that didn't put loud exhaust are rare u got my respect man, while i like loud exhaust when i'm riding it i felt like selfish a'hole after getting off the bike
Glad that you understand where I’m coming from! Riding is fun and bikes sound great but too loud honestly ruins it for the rider and the people around… Thanks for watching✌️
Amazing 💪🏼 I am considering to buy one. How are the performance? I am not looking for high speed, just a good acceleration in case you need it and to enjoy the ride. Thanks
I think it's one of the most balanced bikes on the market. Nimble and quick on accelerations and it can easily handle 100-120km/h. I much prefer acceleration over top speed as well✌️
Hi, I just bought this bike. And your exhaust modification with that silencer is exactly what I’m looking for. But does that exhaust help with any of the performance of the bike? Does it help with anything like acceleration? Torque? And what about fuel? Mpg any better? Other than looks and noise level what other did it to the bike? Anyways thanks!
Very nice video ! I would like to get that R34 too.Where did you buy it? We have the same 2020 Rebel 500, same color. And I love that 'pure sound' I have the gopro 9 what else is needed. Regards from Toronto
We have matching bikes! I purchased the R34 from eBay through a dealer in the States, I believe it was the last one. For pure sound I have two GoPro's and a external audio recorder to capture exhaust sound. Let me know if you have more questions and ride safe✌️
Hi! I have this bike, I love it! I have searched for spools like you have, but I can’t find it anywhere! Where did you buy yours??? Can I find it on a website, because I don’t live in the US…
They should be pretty easy to find because sport bike riders use them a lot. I bought them off Fortnine here in Canada: fortnine.ca/en/bikemaster-rear-spool-kit-8mm-aluminum-light-weight-race-black-fhm065-m8k?pk_cid=12810931413&pk_campaign=pla-1627835977872&pk_source=google&pk_medium=paid&pk_content=121671145896&gclid=Cj0KCQiAip-PBhDVARIsAPP2xc19NibAWBdJGc7ri8rjRtTu5SGQhj7acd0FWTTs6ehLkiwhKlIyrtcaAuKKEALw_wcB
Great video Can you give your advice as I m buying my first motorcycle. I can't decide which one is good as first bike as I don't have experience and knowledge of bikes
It depends where you're located and what kind of riding you're looking to do. I think the Rebel 500 is a fantastic beginner and all-around bike, but if you let me know more details of your situation I can try to advise more thoroughly.
It deflects it a tiny bit. Great for city or short highway rides, but you might need something taller for longer touring rides. I bought it mainly for the look, and also have a Piranha blackout one from dart I’ll be making a video on too.
Would love to get one! Hopefully by next spring🤞🏻I was going to ask if you purchased it out right or did you finance when you got it? Also, how is it on insurance out there? I’m in Onterrible lol
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you🤞 I purchased it out right as I do with all of my bikes - insurance isn't too bad here in Alberta, and with the 500cc it's really reasonable!
@@csimatthew1 That's quite some time! Are you riding something in the meantime? At least you still have quite a bit of runway left in this season. Ride safe✌️
5’6 140lbs. It’s heavier than some of my other bikes but easier to handle because of the low seat height. Check out my full review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2RjMLjC08VU.html
