Thanks for the vids! I have been to Thailand many times over the last 19 years, and I am starting to think of retiring there. I like the idea of the travel videos geared toward a potential retirement spot. It sounds like you spend a lot of time on your motorbike. Thats the way I would like to see Thailand someday.

Thanks for the Super Thanks Dew😁. I really appreciate it! 😁. Yeah I love riding my bike. I've been riding bikes on and off since I was a kid, I love the sence of freedom it brings. If this video does well I will create more videos like it. Thailand is an awesome place to retire, stop thinking about and pull the pin and do it, 555. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it and thanks again for the Super😁😄😊

Mate, i ended up a single dad with 3 kids in a tiny hot rural village.....and i still wouldnt want to be anywhere else even on my worst days. As long as i keep " let go" in my mind here everything eventually works out....on thai time not mine, and that was a great lesson.
@SABAI15
@SABAI15 5 месяцев назад
Yes, exactly! Life is what you make it in your mind. I think some people that don't enjoy there life here have their expectations set way too high when they first arrive. I personally don't set my expectations really High about anything in life, not in a pessimistic way, I'm a realistic optimist. But it's better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. Ahh Thai time, 555. I'm getting better with Thai time as time goes on. How long have you lived here? Thanks for watching.

There are some adjustments to be sure. My Thai wife of 15 years and I had been coming here from the U.S. on vacations for years before we made the permanent move and so far it’s been a great last couple years. Glad it’s working out for you and your Mrs! I think those of us that come here happily married already fare a lot better than the single guys coming off bad relationships.
@SABAI15
@SABAI15 6 месяцев назад
Yeah very true. If you've been coming here for years you don't have to adjust much once you do move here permanently. And having a Thai wife all those years definitely helps. I have learned a lot about Thailand from my wife over the years. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching.

We still live in Australia but we go to Thailand for 5 months each year. My wife's family live in Klong 3, Rangsit. We went to Pathum Thani to do my 60 day extension of my 3 month visa last year and it was SO much easier than dealing with immigration head office in Chaengwattana. We'll be back over in a couple of weeks and even considering the heat we're heading to, I'm so looking forward to it. 🙏

Always nice to see a farang enjoying the area where we hang out. We've got land at Klong 14 too but doubt we'll ever do anything with it. At this time at age 64 I can't see going to the hassle of building anything on it and we kinda enjoy the chance to spend 5 months travelling around in Thailand each year then coming back home to the Gold Coast or travelling somewhere else for the rest of the time. We leave our car over there with sister in law so as soon as we get back we'll take off looking around the country...we usually do about 15,000km each year, staying with friends or family or just hanging out at local places. Love every minute of it. ❤

Yeah I've worked in factories and workshop's doing really physically demanding jobs most of my life. For the last 8 years of my working life I was a disabilities support worker. Very little physical demand in that job. That is one of the reasons why I packed on the weight. But comming to Thailand and loosing 20kg has probably saved my life! But, recently I have put on 2kg. But I've put a stop to that. Thanks for watching😁

Congratulations on bringing your dream to fruition. That's wonderful. I live in the US and the corporate back-stabbing & office politics is a global problem. It's the narcissists, sociopaths, malignant narcissists, and psychopaths who make life on this planet toxic in varying degrees. They are everywhere, sadly. I hear Canadians complains about it, as well as the Brits. Pretty much the only people I haven't heard complain about it are the French, but their culture is one of uniting and protesting, so they strike if they don't receive their pay and benefits. I digress. I'm looking at Hua Hin, Chan Am, and Chiang Mai (burning season seems almost intolerable there). I appreciate the insights you share in your videos. Best wishes to you and your wife~

10years living in Thailand best thing i ever did,do not come with the intention of carrying on your previous way of life adapt to Thai life and culture,get an interest and a daily routine,meet other people converse and integrate,exercise regularly ie walking,swimming,etc,DO NOT,spend everyday sitting in bars,listening to other people moaning about how they miss their old life ,how much health insurance and hospital costs are expensive,in Thailand and a lot of other countries its the same situation if you cannot afford it do not come, Think of the benefits,no heating bills no winters,cheap Thai food ,transport costs lower than most countries,etc etc Finally DO NOT SIT ON YOUR OWN GET OUT MEET PEOPLE AND TAKE AN INTEREST IN OTHER PEOPLE AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS, Enjoy Thailand and count your blessings,heaven and hell are full of people who would gladly change places with you,🎉🎉

I like the continuity in the opening scenes.. When I did my video course nearly 50 years ago I remember them telling us, every time when you stop the camera always change the camera angle/move the camera.. You need to work on your colour matching though!! Otherwise I was quite impressed with this sequence. Was Noi holding the camera?

@@SABAI15 everyone has advise, but I’ll just say (1) muscle = strength of course but it’s also 24/7 metabolism and it’s a great glycogen storage system so can even out your daily sugar levels. So twice a week. (2) cardio at two levels: base (zone 2) is typically 220-age @ 60-70% and do this 150-200 minutes weekly. Max it out once each week for repeated bouts of 3-4min x 4 repeats You’ll be Superman before you know it 💪🏽

Thanks mate, glad you liked it. I was going to renew it before I left, but as you can imagine I had a lot on my plate to organise with selling my property and organising everything. In the end, I didn't because it's still valid until November this year. From what I've heard it's pretty straight forward to apply for it in Thailand. I reply to all the comments, but as the channel grows and I get more and more comments I think my replies will end up shorter and shorter, lol. But I enjoy the interaction in the comments.

Why did you have to wait 4 mths to get the certificate? If you’ve got some proof of residence its 500 baht. No receipt as there is no official fee for the Certificate. 555 Learn Thai and you'll enjoy your retirement more. You’ve got a yellow book and pink card so you don't need a resident certificate to put a vehicle in your name. Tom

As I mentioned in the video, I could not apply for my certificate of residency until I had my first 1 year visa extension. Don't quote me on thus but, I thunk the HR came out with a 179. I think the 186 was introduced in the next model the HK. Apparently it is very rare to find an old red motor in HR's etc. Apparently instead of rebuilding the red motors they replaced them with Japanese 6 cylinder motors. Yeah you're not wrong about Australia being screwed!! it's bloody sad to see. It used to be called the lucky country, and it was. Not any more, as you said it's f..ked now.
