I literally had the cleanser/cream travel set in my Ulta cart with the intent to purchase today because it's part of the 21 days of beauty. BUT I refuse to use any products with essential oils on my rather sensitive skin.

Oh you gotta be kidding me! I I started using the ultra repair cream around December 2019 and because I got the massive x-mas edition tube it actually lasted me until July 2020, and my face loved it. Then it disappeared from everywhere I could get it in Europe so I switched to some other stuff like the Pyunkang Yul ato cream or the illiyoon ato cream (see a pattern?) but I had absolutely planned to go back to this once I had finished all my other moisturisers. Well, I guess that’s not gonna happen now. I’m sorry, I know I sound super mad and I promise it isn’t at you, it’s at the situation. Thank you for the video.

First aid beauty just sneakily changed a bunch of their formulations. They changed them around Christmas. If you have bought products lately I would check your containers. The reason they are not telling people is because the got rid of good ingredients and raised the preservatives to 3rd to 8th on their list.

I agree with you about the ultra repair cream! Bought it because it was so raved about, the eucalyptus oil did not play well with my very sensitive skin, caused some major irritation. It has now been relegated to a hand cream.. which it works fine for.

When you shared on your story that it had been reformulated a lightbulb switched on on my head. I had been breaking out quite a bit and I have a sensitivity to essential oils like you and had stopped using this product for a couple of days because I thought maybe it’s just too thick for the summer here in Australia and after seeing your story, with continued disuse and switching it out for the isntree cicada relief cream all my breakouts cleared up. So thank you!! Such a shame they reformulated the product though because I quite like the texture of it.

Thanks for the heads up on the eucalyptus oil. Ihear lots of good things about that moisturizer, but I'm pretty sure eucalyptus oil is the reason my skin doesn't like the cosrx cica cleanser. There was also eucalyptus oil in a natural deodorant i tried and my pits were on fire! No more eucalyptus oil for me. I'm done.

Your worsts are my bests, the mineral sunscreen is my fav minus the fact that it’s becomes grainy with the latest batch which I’m sure they will fix, and I’m pale, not orange at all. The niacinamide brightening eye cream has never caked for me and sinks in just fine. Have been using both for over a year.

Have to say that my skin is usually not that sensitive to EO and i have tried pretty fragrant products but this one really burns around my eyes and cheeks (I have the version with the eucalyptus oil)

I was doing my research on the tinted sunscreen and thank GOD I found your video. I not only have eczema but also psoriasis 😢 when I flare up - I am jacked up. Anything with exfoliating components to it will really hurt me. Do you recommend any tinted sunscreens for people with sensitive skin like mine? *Also, what AHA product do you use for your back because I also have similar issues as you do in the back area? Thanks :)

Hi Kelly OMG OMG the ultra repair cream - I have used it as a daycream on an off for a very long time and LOVED it, but I can't do essential oils (rosacea and eczema) so I'll have to avoid it going forward - I'm so DISAPPOINTED that I'm going to email their customer service to complain. I think they did it to force people to use the more expensive face cream in the 50ml size, as the large tub was so economical to use. It lasted me about 4 months used every morning and is a long term favourite. They already have two scented versions, so it's not about appealing to those who want scent - it's about fleecing us. I love the toner too. The niacinamide eye cream I got in a kit at xmas and I like it well enough. I have very dry skin and it sank into my skin no problem. Mine has a peach tint and does make my undereye look brighter, I've liked it. I use it during the day and a more anti aging eye cream at night. I haven't tried the sunscreen as I saw a lot of negative reviews, plus I'm super pale. The radiance pads I actually like and use two mornings a week. They don't irritate, but do give my extremely sensitive skin enough exfoliation (I also get cell turnover from my retinoid though). They also were in the kit and I'll use them up - I have previously used a tub in the past. The cleanser isn't hydrating enough for my skin, but the smaller size I have will be fine for Summer. I haven't tried the retinol eye cream. I have previously used their serum and also like that btw, but it's expensive for what it is. Best wishes.

I have tried the ultra repair cream and the face moisturiser and both made me break out which is weird because I don't normally have reactions to products. But yeah the brand personally hasn't worked for me but I'm sure it does for other people

What!?! I bought the ultra repair cream during the last sephora sale and haven't open it yet since I'm finishing up my pyunkang yul moisturiser. I just checked that my version is the one with essential oil. I assume because this cream have been rave about a lot n because it is meant for sensitive skin, it is essential oil free. I'm really disappointed.

Omg amazing timing. I actually just ordered some things from FAB. I tried the repair cream years ago and i did like it but it had a very “musty” smell. I bet they changed the eucalyptus extract to the oil so that it would smell better.

The face serum is the HOLY GRAIL!!!! I can't believe it isn't on here! NOOOO!!!!!! You could leave them all behind except this must try. Also tip: the new ultra repair comes in 3 other scents, so I use the melon extract or mango and avoid the eucalyptus and citrus oil ones.

@@Dannywithlove they do, but each scent has different oils. I went through a phase where I recommended this to everyone, then ran into trouble. Eucalyptus and citrus based oils tend to be the worst for people with sensitive skin. I have tried and verified the original, mango, citrus, and they all cause reaction in my partner. The melon is the only “mellow” enough oil that doesn’t cause irritation from my experience. Low odor. Hopefully they create a version without any one day. Certainly not eczema friendly (also verified this unfortunately and it required a cortisone injection with my cousin because of the eucalyptus which we tested separately to determine what the cause was blah blah). Anyway. Patch test first for a few days!

I was just looking up videos about the FAB sunscreen, bc mine is gritty. An came across this video. I bought it awhile back and just got to using it. I thought maybe it was just getting old, but it still has a year before it expires. Huh? Well that sucks, this wasn’t cheap, and I waited to long to try it, so now I chat return it. It’s off the market now as well!

I bought the ultra-repair cream in a set with the cleanser in the Black Friday sale at Sephora, and I was also super disappointed to find eucalyptus oil in mine!!! I tried it anyway, but it stings on my face! Super disappointed bc it has been so highly recommended to ppl w sensitive skin. I’m using it up on my chest area instead 🤷‍♀️

Hey Kelly, is FAB considered a Korean brand? I do know that it is or was a woman owned business. She also started that business if International Women’s Day statistics are correct. I really like the moisturizer cream. I tried it a couple of years ago and really liked it. I never repurchased it, not for any reason. I just had other moisturizers to use up. I’ve heard excellent things about the toner and cleanser. It really surprised me in regard to the eye cream. That I’ve heard very good things about. I’ve heard horrible reviews on the tinted sunscreen, no thank you! I’m going to try the toner and possibly the cleanser when I’ve gone through a few in my current skincare. I have tried two moisturizers (this repair cream and the peptide-collagen one) and the moisture mask and all 3 of those gave me severe burning. How the hell do you make an oatmeal-based moisture mask that burns? Their exfoliation pads also had wildly irresponsible directions. I always try to follow the directions on the label assuming the company knows their product best. The directions say to use them twice per day, every day. My gut said that was way too much but I decided to follow the directions anyways. It damaged my moisture barrier to the point where the only thing I could put on my face without stinging was honey. FYI: I have very dry skin but I've never had a bad reaction from chemical exfoliants or even retinals.

Love this series! Would be great if at the end of the Best and Worst you kinda summed up your thoughts about the brand line up in relation with its alternatives - you review products very thoroughly but are the ones listed in Best worth purchasing over alternatives available (from other brands), or are they so good they are worth it anyway? Feel like there are better alternatives to FAB in almost every product except maybe retinol eye cream, or oat toner.

Omg I'm so with you on this esp the eye creams and that terrible sunscreen! The moisturizer was the reason I bought sets from FAB, have not been impressed by most while noticing the high quality.. I started eye retinol with this as I trust it to be safe enough, did not want to risk my eye area, did not feel anything negative around the eyes but nothing too obvious, and THAT silver ring on the lid was terrible, many users commented on that annoying lil detail

@@emmac7193 if you’re not looking colloidal oatmeal ingredient. Benton deep green tea toner, isntree green tea toner, cosrx propolis toner and tony moly chok chok watery skin. I’m focusing green tea ingredient because it’s very well known by various studies to its beneficial polyphenol content and EGCG. Green tea extract good to prevent hyperpigmentation, hydrate skin, even out skin tone and friendly ingredient which very a few people can’t tolerate green tea.

there are some products with colloidal oatmeal 0.5% that target eczema - i'd be curious to know if thats the % of oatmeal present, im also guessing that's the one that's doing the work aside from glycerin and squalane. ingredients in essences/toners can get tricky because we're used to korean labeling which doesnt always include solvents and preservatives- it would say 100% [x] essence but it's actually 98% water and 1% star ingredient. but i would not be surprised if the rest of beneficial ingredients don't contribute that much

Love the video as always ❤️ another great retinol eye cream at the drugstore is Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair eye cream. I currently have it and it’s been giving me similar results to the FAB one! However about half the price! Johnson and Johnson spend a lot of money on research into retinol and effective formulations etc so I trust it!

The oat toner is sooo good I use it daily. I also bought the sunscreen last year based off Hyram's videos and was so disappointed in the grittiness (he never spoke of it until much later in recent videos). I also feel like it sat on top of my skin and then we all started wearing masks so it would always smear off. It also has a mattifying effect so by the end of the day my skin felt super thirsty. That niacinimide eye cream I was eyeing for some time (also recommended by Hyram) but after hearing your review I am staying away. Just goes to show how we all need to do our research and not base purchasing decisions off one person's reviews!

Ahhh the sunscreen is so messy! The eye cream looks pretty nice at first and can probably work for some, but honestly I'll just keep my concealer and eye creams separate. It's always good to get a variety of opinions/experiences! 👍

@@KellyDriscoll I also had no idea about the essential oil in the repair cream! My skin was struggling due to overexfoliation and I thought this would help but sometimes it stung just a little. Now that my skin is repairing it works ok but at night I tend to need something else to keep the moisture all in. So many "Ah hah!" moments. 😂 Thank you for what you do and you inspire me! 💜

I do really enjoy FAB a lot and while they have a few products enjoy but then there are some I dislike A LOT! I do enjoy the barrier repair cream, and the Ultra repair is great too, the cleanser is ok, not my fave. I didn’t like any of their eye creams and I also had the SAME thing happen to me with the sunscreen! Otherwise I would’ve enjoyed it a lot but the little sand particles came out of nowhere!!! I don’t get it lol

I use to swear by the ultra repair cream even on my face helped my dry skin but the 2023 , 2024 formula is not the same it actually is drying even on my hands , sad

I have the hardest time with FAB because they always seem to be tweaking and reformulating their products, some really good stuff but not always reliable.
