Sweden has very old folk music scene, granted it's not the type of music associated w/ Sweden in most peoples mind. Even ABBA has a lot of folk music tunes.. The best one being "Arrival" :) highly recommend that one.
no doubt, Klara is the vocal power-house and musical genius, but together she and Johanna are greater than their individual parts. may they never part, may they never stop
I am a hard rock/metal guy and I love this group. That tells you something that they can get someone like me. Just a very talented group. Hopefully they stay around for a while.
@@stevesullivan8405 can confirm the war pigs cover is great. They also covered Hearts Crazy on You. The one sister definitely wants to be a hard rock performer.
Eh? They play the same kind of music every song. I like them, but diversity isn’t their strong point. Same melodies in every song. Same singing style in every song.
I was the same way. Didn't know about them until about a wk ago when a guy who runs a Sabbath site posted a link to their cover of War Pigs. I was blown away. I've devoured their music ever since.
You just have to reconcile yourself to the fact that people like and dislike any number of things. Personally, I don't get it because I _love_ First Aid Kit. But nobody is universally loved. Not even Jebus.
@@NxDoyle Who is Jebus? Someone else who thought he was a son of a god that does not exist? Personally, I love First Aid Kit as well. just mAke a n effot oN yuor punkchashion in fuchia. and wat u type

Music is an art form, and these girls are a paragon of their genre. Phenomenal in Manchester and Liverpool, when I was lucky enough to get tickets this year, and here too. Tickets are getting harder to get, they need bigger venues!! Fab upload, thanks for sharing.
This group, these two lovely ladies were recommended to me yesterday by a good muso friend. Wow, I'm in love with them and their sounds. Such beautiful voices, the llyrics are wonderful and meaningful in every song. Can't wait to discover more of them. I'm working my way through all recordings I can find on YT!!!
It does my heart good to see young artists with good talent! No rap crap. I think and hope these young women have a great future ahead. Just stay true to your selves.
Klara and company have the best sound to come along in quite some time. Had the joy to be there LIVE less than a month ago. If they come your way they are a 'must see'. Oh, how about JoJo in those cutoffs and cowboy boots, magnificent! 😋
See, people want to win the lottery so they can buy a fast and fancy car or some ridiculously large house or other frivolous things. Me? I'd travel the globe to be in the audience to listen to wonderful artists like these two sister gems. Cars and houses come and go and are forgotten; while great music lasts generation after generation and generation. Great music is a tribute to God; cars and houses are self indulgence. One man's opinion.
Nicely said--there's nothing like that feeling, that transcendent glow, that one feels after being transported by musicians like First Aid Kit. I've just come into their fold, but it feel like they're riding high right now, really coming into their own. If there's anyone else out there making better harmonies right now than Klara and Johanna, tell me who!
Still searching for words...it is all of them ..now i know for a fact and every step of the way from all walks of life i Salute You ❤❤❤..from Lebanon with Love

They are, and have been magnificent. I caught them on video in the last year or so from a performance 10? years ago (don't trust me on that) when the King of Sweden was hosting a tribute and concert to Emmylou, my favourite female vocalist and album maker after Linda Ronstadt, who are both long time friends of course. I think it was an annual lifetime award thing and it was rightfully Emmylou's turn. I watched a lot of First Aid Kit since. People here are correct, the band members are also brilliant and very professional. I will say watching this just now that it seemed disappointong that the crowd was sparse and it was an early evening slot. However, this made it all the more impressive that they all performed utterly superbly. I liked the big video graphics thing in the background as well. Interestingly, the taller slimmer one is the older sister and you cannot fault her performances ever. The younger sister is definitely the power house of the group though with an even better voice and desrves every accolade. They've been going a long time surprisingly, even then in 2018 (it's now late 2023) but they obviously kept getting even better.
😊👍🌹Kaunista, olisi kiva olla paikalla(saati laulaa taustalta"basso äänellä") kiitos. Luoja antaa jos ottaakin, olemme saaneet nyt kuitenkin 2 ihanaa enkeliääntä keskuuteemme KIITOS LUOJALLE SIITÄ👋🤗💖💖💖Terv: V-M kuopio/SF.

According to The Rolling Stone Magazine these siblings are among the best in Music that have come out over the last decay. Celebreties like Jack White, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Paul Simon just to mention a few they all say these Girls have something unique and extra. Ill guess they were born in the wrong decay. They should have sung and performed during the 60. and 70 instead of now. They have fans all over the World in particular US. But Young kids of today never listen to this kind of Music. Its really sad.
Maybe you have a point about them belonging in the 60's or 70's, but I think they're perfect right now. Their sold-out show at San Francisco's Masonic Auditorium a couple weeks back was magical, and couldn't have been any better in the 60's. I guess you're suggesting they would have been more popular, more commercially successful, in the 60's, but it's a blessing they are right where they are, popularity-wise--I don't need to see them playing gigantic arenas! The night after San Francisco they played the 500-seat Jam Cellar in Napa--that is how music should be performed, as anyone who loves live music already knows.
dreams within dreams - aka - when dreams come true - is there really anything left to dream - well - let meh dream on that - for a night or two - and i'll dream right back acht ya . . .
Good sound.solid performance..but playing sold out shows at some truly iconic venues in the u.s....an afternoon show at a "carnival" in las desert in the hot afternoon before (what) 3 or 400 people? Who booked this? And no sing along for emmylou? Can't wait to exit stage left!!
that's just how festivals are lol sometimes you play some random ass festivals that's just not your public and that's it. who knows, maybe people liked them and checked them out later when they got home. it's not that deep, dude.
