First Alpine Swim: Frutigen, Kandersteg, Adelboden 

Frutigen, Kandersteg, Adelboden
In early August, we traveled for a weekend in the southern part of Bern canton. We started with a trip from Zurich to spend the day in Adelboden. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch and then a nice hike above town and back down the valley. We overnighted in the small town of Fruitigen, enjoying a lovely sunset from an outdated hotel. The next morning, we headed up to Kandersteg where we took the cable car up to Oeschienensee. We enjoyed a hike in the area around the lake, a nice swim in the lake - my first real dip in an alpine lake in Switzerland, and a lunch on the terrace before heading back to Zurich.
