God is here throughout this too. Prayers for next steps toward answers. Attacks are proof, at times, that God's people are doing something right, else evil wouldn't present itself so vehemently.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all the people that make up this church. Praise God no one was in there and the kids camp was over. Sad, especially watching people express their life memories that were lived out in this great place. Maybe it's like everything else here, a reminder that this is a temporary place.

Have been to this church, and my cousin still attends. So incredibly heartbreaking. I know the church is the people - the body of Christ - but seeing this beautiful historic building go literally up in smoke is difficult. So glad no one was hurt! 😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏
this is the church i attend as a teen. so sad to see it go up in flames. :( though, the church is the people inside the building and not the building itself.

I told my parents when I was in my early teens that I would be married in that church. My current wife did not want to be Wed in a church due to previous traumas. We have been going through a divorce for the last year, and now the most endearing part of Dallas, the monument I saw as union and commitment, has burned. It feels like a sign. But maybe I'm just another crazy old man.
I would not be surprised if arson is the cause but with all of the water that has flooded through that basement the evidence is likely washed away. The reason I think arson is because they had just closed the doors after VBS and then shortly afterwards the fire starts. Someone either stayed behind and hid to start the fire or broke in and then pored and accelerant in the basement to start that fire. I hope that didn't happen but as a retired Paramedic/ Firefighter I usually am pretty good at figuring some of these things out.

I mean the fact only the church was on fire and supposedly started around sixish they said so around close to the same time the pastor left or a few minutes after at least that what i thought i heard from both sides someone is gonna have to correct me on it but that tells me someone lit the match lol.
