Damn I am so glad I found your channel. Most of the horse related content is posted by more advanced riders, so finally finding someone who has a similar level to me feels so good.
I am a beginner/intermediate rider and I have kind of lost my confidence after a fall where my horse bolted and bucked. This was a huge inspiration for me and it reminds me of my first time riding bareback. Thank you 😊
I’m sorry to hear about your fall!! Ultimately experiences like that will make you stronger in the end. I’m so glad this video helped you, keep doing what you love 🥰
I remember the time I rode bareback on this go-ey stallion, he was very excited but luckily I knew how to handle him and have rode him before, I still ride at the place and always greet him when I see him
That was so much fun to watch. I felt like I was on Dora. I ride mostly with a suade bareback pad. Occasionally a cut back saddle. Maybe you could talk about riding atire..... leggings, tights and breeches. I have yet to buy anything with knee patches or a seat. I would enjoy hearing about those, positives and negatives of each. I look forward to your next video.
Thank you so much and I got you!!! I just got a new pair of breeches and I’ll review them in my next video ☺️ I’m super excited to try them they’re super cute
The barn that you ride at is super nice because you can actually learn how to do everything like catch the horses from the field and groom them and tack up so you get to know how it feels to own a horse not just ride all the places I have ridden at just do all that stuff for you blw I love watching you❤
I’ve finally found a RU-vidr who is at the same riding level as me! Every good RU-vidr who posts often always goes from day 1 never ridden before then day 2 jumping 1.10. Every video you post you gain more experience like me!
Awwww you’re sooo sweet!!! 🥰 thank you so much for the kind message, you made my day!!! I’ve been riding for about a year and a half now ☺️ how long have you been riding for ?
@@RidewithClara of course, and thank you! ❤️ thats so cool you’ve only been riding for that short amount of a time and you’re already so amazing! ive been riding for 3 years and 8 months :)
youre getting so much better at riding! i love how your channel is beginner friendly, ive been riding for years but i wish that your channel was around when i was a beginner bc it would have been really helpful! also your breeches are so pretty where do you get them?
I love your videos so much , on one of your previous videos I have see that the comments that you ride hunter and I’ve seen you jumping in your shorts and full videos and your seat is so good . I just ride English doing jumping dressage and lots of polework . My jumping seat it very cross country like or sat up for most of my jumps with a straight back so when I jump next I really want to try making my seat hunter like cause it will be fun Can u guys give me tips in the comments pls😊
I ride an OTTB who is very slow as well and have had to learn how to not have to use leg leg leg.. I basically just retrained him to more voice to help him. (Obviously I understand alot of barns dont want you to do that but I lease him and will be buying him soon) But I feel your pain haha!
A tip : If you’re trying to get your horse to follow you, and not stop (on the ground obviously) don’t look at them. Look at where you are going instead. Trust me, it makes a big difference haha 😂
@@RidewithClara yeah I’ve ever done english I’m a western girl and a plus size rider so it’s hard to find a barn that takes plus size riders where I live
I remember the first time you cantered. You said “I won’t die until I gallop on the beach.” Based on my opinion (I’ve been riding for 12 years) I think you could go on a gallop on the beach with Dora in like 2 months time. But at least keep cantering with her and keep doing what you’re doing. Have fun and stay safe!
This was a really fun video. Also, the reason she was probably ramming you into the wall was you might have had more weight in your inside foot than the outside, along with not landing in the center of the saddle. I personally believe horses are never “nasty” or “naughty.” They don’t sit and plan “how can I make my riders life miserable.” They do what they think they need to do to survive, they are prey animals. I hope to see you continue to grow and learn! If you’re interested not just in riding, but horse behavior, I recommend people like Shelby Dennis to learn some more 😊
Do I see 2 Tropicana cars? Thank you for your videos. I watch the trains from the other side of the golf course.... sometimes from the middle of the course.
A good tip to keep a lazy/ slow horse against the wall is to kick with your inside leg. Horses respond to pressure and if you kick with your inside leg then she will try to move away from the pressure (pressure release). A good way to get the horse to respond to the crop better is to kick whip kick!
@@RidewithClaraI know it’s been almost a year but I will say that I don’t recommend that, since the horse may not be aware that your foot is being knocked and it might be more confusing than it is necessary! ❤
How much does Dora the horse in the video weigh and can I lay down on the ground on my back and have your horse rest it hoove on my stomach or on my chest
@@jameslindsay9443 You should not have a hoof resting on a chest back stomach etc. You obiusoly NOT and equestrian. Why do you need to know how much it weighs?
