I do this too, but my father keeps telling me that if someone breaks into our house I won´t have any money left, and that scares the soul out of me. What do you do to make sure you won't go through this situation?
I definitely recommend once you cash stuff, condense the cash and take the majority back to the bank and deposit to a high yield savings account. I use placeholders or prop money as well.
Can I ask… how old are your kids ? Cause I was wondering that you save for there friends birthdays gifts too … after 15 I let them save from there weekly money that I gave them so they learn to get along with money!
My oldest just turned 15, and all the rest are 7-12. Their allowance has to cover their birthday and Christmas and whatever spending they think they want to do. That way I’m not giving them anything else for the year 😂 Gifts has a cap. So once it is gone, that’s it.
