Every time I see addy play I can only think at two possible options for his success: 1. He is able to read and understand the game so much better than everyone else, he is able to play champs like taric top. 2. He is so cracked *mechanically* at the game it doesn’t matter what he plays so he troll picks
it's simply that most players forget about how strong taric ult can be, as support he can be nuked down before ult gets in but as top you cannot kill Taric in time and his ult gives so much leeway to his side. Also, teams like Kindred, Kayle, Zilean, Taric can be extremely difficult to trade against.
at 10:10 im pretty sure he left not because he wanted to leave the tower up, but because the tower had I think 3 stacks of the armor boost (gets 1 per broken plate, lasts a few seconds) and he was tickling it, so he couldn't finish it off before olaf got there and as he had no mana is was dangerous and most likely a waste of time at best even if he lived.
As someone who has played Taric top for a while, I love seeing the most dangerous boy in the world reaching Rank 1 in Korea. Maybe I'll get flamed less for picking Taric top in my low elo games? 🤣
ady just looks for the meta calls of the moment, he is a good and smart player, he has been playing a lot of taric top last year, but then he got to shivana top, then eventually changed to pantheon top... he carefully analyzes the meta and sees what champs are able to defeat it
i use to do taric top before his re-work if the enemy team had an ad top laner. loved it. i stopped playing ages ago but picked it up again just for aram. always take taric if i can because of his heals and how close your teammates usually are.
I had a friend who used to play Taric top before even Taric rework, and also played him top post rework and got to plat. He was an absolute legend ahead of his time.
Deep inside we all know midbeast was to humble to say he’s the number one Korean Challenger, he not only beat Dopa and Faker once, he beat them multiple times
After seeing this game I feel like Taric is only really viable as a toplaner. Nobody kills the minions so you can get q charges, low ranged threats to force you off the minion heals. Armor is op in toplane. Low mobility is almost irrelevant compared to other roles. Mana issues are lessened when you aren't trying to heal up the team as support, and only against a melee top.
I feel presence of mind is very underrated. First of all it's mana - nobodys excited about mana, and also it's next to triumph which is something everyone wants. But really having one rune cover your mana problems, allowing you to stay longer on the map, not run out of mana in teamfights, it gives so much of raw consistent value.
For a while now ive been trying to convince a friend of mine to play swain mid while ill play taric jungle. Him taking spirit visage railys and roa or Jak’Sho as mythic depending on whats needed While ill take knights vow, ice born and fimblewinter. Start fight with both ults so that swain doesnt get bursted at high burst teams. Get everyone slowed. Start Qing while swain drains and heals using my E when he pulls someone with E so he can land guaranteed W. If they focus me, swain gets to heal, if they focus swain, i get to heal.
From today onwards I'm a Taric top main, do I know Taric kit? No. Have I ever played him? No But Midbeast said that I should pick him up, so I will, thanks Midbeans(Little trivia, did he ever said that he beat both Faker and Dopa, yeah he did it but my man is so humble he never mentions it).
I used to play craploads of Taric in the Dominion days. Had loads of fun spamming taunt to get a Rengar or Khazix to jump on me only to delete them without losing any health
In my games the enemy doesn’t ff after Baron so it goes another 20 min and we inevitably lose … when enemy gets baron we don’t ff but we go another 20 min and lose 😂😭😭😭😭 solo q so fun 😭😭😭😭
What about brk in the stuff ? It gets you tank shred in case you face one and a really good 1v1 against bruisers, u proc it very easily with passive, and the item scales well especially in low elo games where games can go toi ultra late game where taric become useless, with brk, u still have 1v1 potential or something. I think I should just start running ghost instead of flash, sometimes I see the jgler coming from a mile away but it doesnt matter because I am past river. I can run back to turret as fast as I can but I will still die. If I had ghost I just pop that shit and im fine.
As a taric top enjoyer I'm sad to see others playing it, since I don't want it to get nerfed. One thing I will say is that you suffer into mages or people who kite you, taric's base mr is really garbage so mages just blow you up.
