I loved the old multicoloured Asics goalkeeping shirts from the 1990's, to which I still own two of. Pavel Srnicek was my hero. I actually met him as a kid, which was a dream come true.
Met Pav outside the old Milburn Stand (circa 1994). He came in through the old gates to the carpark (now under the present stand)owned a cream white Lada Riva estate, all beat up, complete with dog rack along the backseat. We had a quick chat, signed something for me. Lee Clark came tearing in like a boy racer in a Vauxhall Calibre, but I couldn't get his autograph....

Whilst it looked classy, believe me, I've had 3 of that one. The buttons had to be re-sewn & however much you scrubbed your neck, the inside of the collar would end up the same shade of darker white as the maroon/blue change kit. Brown Ale label sponsor is also a bugger to keep looking tidy after being laundered a few times. Got the 99/00 in long-sleeve. Looks nice, brown ale sponsor doesn't get damaged in the wash still fits me after 25yrs. Black collar = no dirty neck marks
Premier League now has 7 teams with Adidas. Arsenal, Aston Villa, Fulham, Leicester, Man Utd, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest too. Liverpool will also be back with Adidas from 25 26 season too. Im Arsenal fan but not keen on our home kit this year. I look forward to seeing the originals get released later this year
I quite like the one you have with the darkblue/black sleeve trim for this year. I know that colour doesn't sit well because of it being the rivals, but it reminds me of those cracking kits you lot had in the late 80s when Graham was boss.
@@andrewphippsphillips1455 The Adidas originals were my favourites 86 to 92. Well as you know some our fans don't like blue in home kit. I personally don't mind a bit of it as detailing features. Especially the stripes. This current style to me is very Ajax esque. I just prefer red torso white collar and sleeves with red cuffs. White shorts red or hooped socks. Too much white resembles that lot down the road from N17
Just bought the Burgundy training top at the Airport. Total flashbacks to the old training kits in the 90s. 10% off at the JD in the departures if anyone is flying soon and wants to save a few quid
Must explain why the UCL tops were a full white panel. Honestly, UEFA & FiFA have some bloody ridiculous little ideas. Rather focus on that instead of VAR corruption.
I'm going to buy it because I always do but It's not my favourite. And I'm not keen on the back because I don't often get names on there but this means you kinda have to🤷🏽♂️ Also the singer is Heidi Curtis she supported Sam Fender on tour and share the same manager. Gave me little tingles hearing her version
Cant wait to try some of the new stuff. The cotton coaches t shirt is my fave. I'll go for the pro shirt with the club font as its different to last seasons prem one. Woyld have been nice to have the sela logo in a colour (blue or gold) and noon badge to match. Would tie it together nicely. Maybe next season

Hi Ross, I’m keeping away from that sort of content now as I’ve pivoted away from the day to day stuff. I was however almost bang on with how many players we’d buy and how much we’d spend. For you though I’m like most people for this window. I haven’t got a clue! My general feeling is that we’re going to have to sell in order to buy as it seems we’re on our FFP limit or just over. Not being in Europe will also dictate the calibre of signings we get too.
@@TynesideLife Yeah certainly looks that way doesn't it. No idea who we'll buy or how much we will spend. As long as we improve the squad I'll be happy and confident they'll do that.
@@r0sco_1 we’re obviously forced into investing in two centre backs, one of whom looks to be Lloyd Kelly. We definitely need a centre forward too! I’d go for Solanke. Other than that, with all our players back, we have a very strong squad in my view!

Apparently, neither the COLC nor the families on a budget are relevant. You'll have at least one sanctimonious smart a55 on here saying "They're not being forced to buy them" or some other lame inane excuse. Folks aren't forced to drink heavily, smoke 40 a day, buy a ton of weed, gamble on scratchies, or get themselves a few Greggs steak bakes, but guess what? Bloody stupid thing to tell people they shouldn't buy a top..... Yes footy tops were always a bit pricey, but my first Toon top was still in date from 83 until I grew out of it. I got a replacement in 1985, still the same Umbro v-neck until 1987-88. At least the 90s shirts lasted 2 seasons, but this changing it every 12months is a racket the Prem promised wouldn't be allowed. Surprise surprise, they let that change & clubs use the excuse that it generated revenue. £5 for a biro made from bamboo!!? Made the kitchen apron I bought for the same amount in April seem like a proper bargain 😂😂 I'm just p155ed off at the PL for pushing clubs to create revenue that our benefactors already have put away in copious amounts, but aren't permitted to use, the way City could under Mansour & Chelsea could under Putin's pal Abramovich. Christ almighty, Id be happy enough for us to finally get our hands on a League Cup, not sweep up everything in sight the way did in the last couple of decades....

Thats another gripe ive got with this top if u dont get anything put on the back it looks awful big open space..so feels like u have to get it done costing more money ..
They should do 2 versions. One with the shield on the back for those who want a name and number (bairns), and a version with stripes on the back. Grown men with names and numbers on their shirt are a bit odd I think!

Cheapest looking shirt in years £80 for a shirt with a patch on for club crest and a transfer on back with old crest. People complained about castore I tell you the quality of there shirts was miles better then these cheap chatty looking things. Even the players shirt is just an iron on transfer. The training gear is just generic adidas gear with a newcastle patch stuck on
Was just wondering about how Tonali is doing. I know he is training with the team and doing his duties in Italy. But is it known how he is doing otherwise? It is after all important that it goes well privately too. Is he still with his girlfriend for example? I’m asking because I want him to succeed at Newcastle and I love just how much the Newcastle fans love him and support him. Can’t wait to see him back on the field doing his excellency 🖤🤍
