Now they have their second Citizen Machinery UK sliding head lathe.
The L32 with LFV, initially purchased to machine plastics, but they have seen fantastic results on all sorts of materials.
Birds nesting was an issue, especially in specialist plastics - but operator intervention is a thing of the past. And because the LFV is so efficient they need a tool management system as the tools are getting so much more use they need to make sure they are monitored to ensure there is no down time.
And, you should see their swarf bins - previously the bin would be full after 80 components, but now they can machine 1,000 parts before it needs to be emptied.
And the next point - the Mitsubishi controls are perfect for sliding head work, and switching to LFV is simple - due to the support from the guys at Citizen Machinery UK.
