When I have red fox digger ?I make regular dirt hole but out at 45 degrees from dirt hole about 14 inch I hide #2 victor, in line a flat set but with a slight depression! And I use small ,stones as guides , spraying fox urine over intire area !!! I have used this set for diggers ever since 1958 ? Works good 👍 on them diggers? I have only had red fox as diggers
Congrats. I’ve had problems with opossums in the past taking the sheep's wool out of the dirt hole. But we had a coyote dig out the dirt hole and some how the sheeps wool ended up behind our backing. We had coyote tracks all around our pan.
Awesome job man!!! Definitely gonna have to try the triple hole set myself. Messaged you when I got my very first coyote and now have also gotten 2 grays. Really enjoy your videos. Keep em coming!!
Great Video !! I had two sets tripped yesterday like this. On the resets I have added a deer leg bone 🦴 driving it in the ground about 3/4 of its length, also scented the bone, baited and a little red fox go juice hoping they focus on the bone and dance around the set. We shall see ? 🤗
Good job! What model tactacam are you using? I run into issues of the coyotes being weary because of my cams and I'm guessing it's something with the flash or glow.
I wish we could keep the foxes. We got to many down here in Harnett. Wished i knew a way to keep them out of my sets but not spook off the coyotes. If you have any suggestions i sure would love the info. Enjoyed it sir!!
@@CarolinaCoyote yeah ive tried that. Then they just dig and steal all my bait. Or sit on trap after they get the bait out and set it off LOL. I guess thats just part of it but does get frustrating having to reset all time. Thank you sir
It’s purpose is to keep dirt from getting under the pan. If dirt gets under it the trap will not go off. Peat moss is fluffy and doesn’t affect the trap if it’s under the pan.
@@CarolinaCoyote just set some traps on a buddies property. Asked him if he wanted to come see how I was doing it, to give him something new and fun to try. He didn’t let me set in the open or on trails. Everything had to be next to a tree and out of “deer trails”. Frustrating.
@@CarolinaCoyote I know. We had a big spat about it and this is my last knight trapping there. Gonna have to find other properties to trap. He doesn’t wanna hear it
I do most of my trapping for property managers so that they have an abundance of wild game to hunt and harvest. Other reasons are for cattle farms, sheep/goat farms, chickens being killed at night, the list goes on and on. The traps are very humane and only hold the animal until I get there, which is at most 3-4 hours. Hope that helps you understand a little bit more!
I trapped a skunk in a steel trap the first thing my new ones catch and I was very sick I had like 104 temp and it was not a fun day if you know what I mean
