She's got the... coral sports bra Pink top, Green pants, White shorts Blue tights, silver sunglasses.... 🤦♀️😑🤦♀️😑🤦♀️😑🤦♀️😑🤦♀️😑🤦♀️😑 I have an idea 💡 JUST GIVE THEM ALL A NUMBER TO WEAR!
I think we all want to see all of the athletes. You guys should show a littler bit more time of the rest of the group. There’s awesome athletes that we didn’t see for even a second.
Really wish the commentators for the first two heats knew anything about the women besides their names...which they can't even get correct sometimes. 40:00 Bethany Shadburne (who is a regular at the games) gets announced as "Brittany Shadburne". I know everyone makes mistakes, but it just pales in comparison to the pro commentators of heat 3.
Sports bra, sports bra, sports bra. How about "the blue top" etc. After 5 minutes of listening to the woman, I'm trying the knot to lynch myself. So obnoxious.
@@camerongray7767 Some of the first round look pretty average in both men and women's fields. I like the idea of national champions but it doesn't really translate
Crossfit women need to focus on hourglass figure movements. Movements that focus more on the glutes and less on the obliques. Such as... 1. Goblet squat [wall ball tosses] 2. Sandbag sumo deadlifts [alternating shoulder loading] 2. kneel to lunge get up [sandbag shoulder loaded] 3. split squat deadlifts [kettlebells], alternate/rotate.
A bit of unfair w event 1 point system. Tia 1st one to finish event with i think only 4 other women but only 12 to 16 pts ahead of those who didn't complete.
The announcers make something I want to watch almost unwatchable. Has anyone else noticed that they are almost always wrong about everything.....super annoying!
Yeh with big strong massive glutes and thin obliques. Crossfit women need to focus on hourglass figure movements. Movements that focus more on the glutes and less on the obliques. Such as... 1. Goblet squat [wall ball tosses] 2. Sandbag sumo deadlifts [alternating shoulder loading] 2. kneel to lunge, get up [sandbag shoulder loaded] 3. split squat, deadlifts w/kettlebells [alternate/rotate]
Why did Laura bulk up so much? She was already one of the bigger girls. She may be stronger but she no longer has that crazy endurance and now she cant do handstand push ups at all. Bigger isn't always better.
Michelle Letendre her coach said earlier in the year that Laura spent much of the year traveling and doing promotional events early on, and I think she just didn't train hard enough.
@@michaelguest4247 she has gained so much muscle though, it's not like she got fat. You don't gain that amount of muscle without trying to, especially for a female.
@@whereswally45 I never said she was fat but rather that she did not train hard enough. Her coach said it straight up earlier in the year. The other thing to keep in mind is that events that include things like Legless rope climbs favor smaller women dramatically so. Laura will always be heavier than the rest of the girls. In events like that or even trying to do Handstand Pushups her upper body development to get her heavier frame upwards would have to be freakishly big to compete with the likes of Holte and Pearce.
@@jude4228 From what I have heard they planned to punt this year and focus on 2020. She still made it as national champ from Hungary and scored well enough in sanctionals and top 20 to get it that way, so she still appeared.
Watching crossfit games is enjoyable. Very competitive stuff. I'm impressed by the effort they put in, and their stamina - especially the final round of pros. Their arm strength was incredible.
There CrossFit games used to be about finding the “fittest person on earth” now it’s about being super inclusive and equal. You have these “National champions” who clearly cannot keep up with the more talented competitors and the commentary has taken a complete nose dive. There’s no HUD allow viewers to see who’s who either. These competitions are even competitive anymore. If you want your sport to grow it needs to be about separating the pros from the joes. Not about welcoming all walks of life
Laura Horvath is bulkier today compared to last year. Will it be a factor to her performance this year? I was wondering if it would slow her down somehow but I'm expecting another close finish in the finals. Good luck to all the ladies and go Tia Clair Toomey!
I was surprised with Laura Horvath.. She really seemed to struggle on this first event, I wonder why that is. I hope it's just an impression. But the heat must be absolutely awful!
You can also catch the Morning Chalk Up's channel: ru-vid.com/show-UCaVuIEkcQkaLKCUfWF2-Nqg Solid coverage and commentating - no Sean Woodland and crew, but was up much faster today.
Last year I loved that a rookie did so well. I was a fan of Laura Horvath but she hasn't been doing well. I don't think she'll have a podium finish this year.
Not a fan I gather. Matt Fraser had a number of reps not counted in his heat, it is the luck of the draw. Some judges are more strict than others. Until we use computers that will always be the case. Get used to it.
