A suggestion from a retired Architect. Measure the locations of the water lines, and sketch them onto a piece of paper. Its your choice to remember where you put the paper. 😁
When I do something like bury lines or pipes I always make a map/layout with landmarks and distances, laminate it and glue it next to the shutoff/disconnect. Because in 5 years you WILL forget it all. I made the mistake of labeling the breakers when we pulled in new wires and a new service. I did it on a large piece of cardboard that my wife later used to start a fire in the burn pit.
Thanks for another great video Cole. It was interesting and enjoyable. Glad you got the water line figured out and a new water line put in. Document now where those lines our for future use. Fill in your hole and that project is done. Your first cutting of hay is great. What a nice field of alfalfa. Your placement of the camera for cutting the hay is super impressive Cole. Nice job on the camera placement. Appreciated. Nice work getting equipment power washed. Looks good after cleaning. The digger you cleaned and gassed for your brother and hauled it. Now that is service Cole. Good family teamwork. Didn’t see Sonny today. ??? Your hay cutting will produce some really nice round bales. Yeah!!!!!!! Got your corn contract hauled, that is good and job done. About it I guess. Thanks for everything Cole. You both take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Papa Sonne looks like Wade Phillips of NFL fame. Love the crop dusting footage. Nothing is more enjoyable than watching those pilots spray a big field with a tall stand of trees right at the end. LOL They go straight up and over like magic at really fast speeds.
So so glad the crop this year is good. It would be interesting if you could post a pic of last years fiels at about the same time when it was a dust bowl. Makes us appreciate just how good this year is. Just so happy for you .❤
Our first was kinda dissointing. Lots of bugs and it lodged really bad. Hopefully it'll be better on our 2nd and 3rd. We sprayed everything with pilot. Hopefully that takes care of the bugs
Hey. Cole, when all is fixed and done and when the trenches are fill back up just make sure to lay a run of yellow caution tapes in the trench right over the line and at about 2 feet below the top side. Later if you ever have to dig again for these lines upon starting to dig up though will find the tape and it with tell you your over the pipe and the heading direction of the line will also be shown by the tape.
I don’t know why I like watching you power wash the machinery. It’s always satisfying to see the dirt powered off and suds rinsed away! I love that you put ceramacoat on the green tractors. They look so good when they are clean!
I still remember the year Cole where the hay was so thick that you had to single them because rake kept plugging. Glad to see hay being made. Hopefully good year for you guys. Have a good one
I had to laugh while you were cutting rows & with the mower. In the video it looks like you're movin' along pretty good! My husband used to scold me for mowing too fast. He said I wasn't REALLY cutting the grass... I was just scaring it!! Thanks for taking me back in time for a couple minutes. ❤
Nice! My Dad started his flying career crop dusting. It led to a life long career as an airplane pilot. He helped his Dad farm before he went on to start flying. Never get tired of watching your vids either!
The Toro's "my ride" suspension is supposed to be the best! I heard it was better than the high dollar pro models, but the mowers that are set up like the grasshopper and Toro/Exmark pro stuff for groundskeepers (baseball, football, golf courses) but they're big money. Glad you got your water fixed! I know from working around it that the leak can show up far away from the problem. The water car run up the outside of the line and threw a vein of sand (etc) and bubble up yards away!
so nice to see a nice crop your cutting this year after the really dry one you had last year and before that , a lot for you to make this time , be great to see them bales roll in soon
That crop duster reminded me…….hope you dont mind. While still in high school, I would “flag” for one of those pilots. Before GPS, pilots had to have flags carried on two ends of a field they were working. This pilot was well known over the entire country, offered to teach me to fly FREE! Didn’t take him up, but I did learn to fly later on, would own my own plane, and helicopter. One of my favorite quotes came from that pilot, he had a brass plate on his plane dash. That plaque,”there are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, there are no old, bold pilots”! I have never forgotten that brilliant theory! Had to laugh when you said that forklift driver must be “forklift qualified”! Stay safe!
So happy for you guys to get such a great 1st cut hopefully you can get 3-4 more. Still think you should made silage bales from the alfalfa tho. Great work love the videos
Print an aerial picture of your farm. Sit down with your dad and draw out all the water and powerlines. You and your future children will thank yourself.
Hello, wow great looking hay. How awesome is that. Really happy to see you washed the tractor, guessing it sat for a while dirty windows for sure. Looks great. If you went slower with the hay cutter would it cut better? Peace to you and all your family.
Another great video. Always learn something from you guys. Nice boots warming up or drying out?? Hope all your crops do extremely well this year. Be safe and God bless.
I've been watching this channel for a few yrs now, Sandi from Sheepishly got me started over here, I love this channel. Now my 2 yr old grandson who is all about farm machines " don't know why we don't live on a farm" is also now a fan..He was just over visiting one day and i was watching one of yalls, and now hes hooked lol He watches alot of kid crew, when he comes to neenees house we watch Cole and he loves watching. Coles angles gives him a more better view than kid crews lol I keep telling my daughter he's going to be a heavy machine op or a true farmer lol he got himself a little John Deer play tractor then he had a toy bulldozer so he made us take the scoop off and put it on his tractor lol now Cole has him interested in excavators 😂 I think this channel is making my grandson making us have an expensive habbit for farm machines for him lol ❤❤😂😂 His name is Dj ❤❤❤
After shot under hay bine you better get some air hose underneath as hydro pumps are pretty covered which will contribute to over heating anr hydro lines
I would love to see more info about all things alfalfa! How it’s planted. How often do you have to replant. Do you sell alfalfa or do you guys use all you grow? I always see you cut and bale it but I just don’t understand the other things
