I'd prefer to pay on a first date - especially if I asked a woman out and decided where I was inviting her to go with me to. It was my idea and I knew how much the place I picked costs. Since men overwhelmingly are the ones to ask women out, I think men should usually pay on the first date. Later in the relationship, when the dates are more mutually planned, I'd prefer to either split or rotate who pays. That said, if a woman insisted on splitting the bill or paying it herself, I'd be fine with that. It's not a make or break kind of thing and probably shouldn't be on either side.

Because that’s what a gentleman will do! Guys nowadays are becoming so feminine and girls are becoming so masculine😪 let your man be a gentleman or don’t complain later!

Thank you for watching the episode and sharing your thoughts. We might have different views on this. Personally, we don’t think being a gentleman is about paying the bill or following outdated traditions. Being a gentleman is about nurturing the relationship through clear communication, listening when the other person speaks, and showing basic respect (like not cheating!). And if feminine boys or masculine girls aren’t your type, simply don’t date them! ;) there's space for everyone.

@@toolongpodcast thank you for your responding The things you mentioned are simply being a respectful human being, or they can be called morals as well. The problem is that people are lowering their standards until they reached a point where being respectful has become something special. We may not agree on paying for dinner/first date, but it’s a sign that this man is a provider, which a pretty important thing that a husband/father should have. Some guys have reached a middle ground which’s paying if they see a future with the girl, otherwise it’s a split… I don’t agree with it but I understand it.

We just believe that in today’s world, women should have the right and power to be providers just as much as a man or husband can be. We think the ideal is moving toward a more equal system where both partners can choose the same roles if they want to, rather than limiting specific roles to one gender and excluding the other. @@toolongpodcast But honestly I don’t see that fair to women… let’s just imagine that the partners are putting equal efforts in the family. One the women get pregnant it’ll become totally unfair. She will be pregnant for 9months, with all hormone and body changes, and let’s not forget the postpartum depression and breastfeeding, and the list goes on and on of things women will experience that a man will never. Based on that, the least a man can do is to provide the family all their needs🤷🏻‍♂️ otherwise it’s not fair for women, and no man will say no to “equal system” because it’s waaaay easier for us😅 I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree 😂👍🏻
