Nope, there are tasks that you have to do before joining.

Before joining you will get modules on the basic topic like Java, SQL, DBMS, agile methodology etc. Once you complete this module which is also part of your training post this you'll be given the option to choose your stream on which you'll be trained for 6 months or less based on the duration of the training of that particular course.

Yes pune was my first preference, generally 90% gets their preferred location. By the way if you want to change your location then they open a window for location change. Just give a valid reason.

Look it totally depends on your expectations from this job. If you want to stay close to your home town then you can join the Indore location. But if you want to explore new opportunities in future and switch to other companies then IT cities would be a better option like pune Banglore Gurugram Hyderabad etc. Being in these cities will give you a whole different vision about how you should move ahead in your career. Hope this suggestion helps.

Do locations matter in what projects I'll be getting and opportunities when switching to a different company down my career? I actually stay near Magarpatta so It'd be convenient for me to work near but want to get coding streams like Frontend dev, Java, .NET

It depends on your interest. If you're interested you'll enjoy doing it. By the way you'll be trained properly.

I'm also a packaged app development associate.

Whatever work you'll be given you'll have to do it, whether development, testing.

For me the joining venue was some hotel.

Before joining the company you'll go through LKM training in which you'll be shared assignment which you must complete so that you can get 10k bonus after joining and once you pass that LKM exam post that you'll be given a form where in you'll have to chose a strem in which you seek training want to work ahead (it can be Java, Salesforce, SQL etc) and then they will randomly allot you with any one of the stream and then you'll be go through training in that stream. So as of now if you feel like you can select a stream in which you want to work and study for that, and if you get lucky and get the same stream then it will work for you else knowledge never goes wasted.

@@VersatileNoob They had asked us to choose either Salesforce or servicenow domain for an online course, I've choosen Salesforce , have you gone through the same? Also I've filled Pune as my first preference how's Accenture pune.(Btw Thanks for replying, really kind of you :-))

Yes they pay for your accommodation for the first 15 days post that you'll have to arrange your accommodation.

Hostel and PG options are available there which include food and laundry. The budget might vary between 6 to 10 k for average pg and hostel. If you want best then it can go upto 15k.
