We gather here tonight NOT to mourn the passing of Turbo Tony, but rather to celebrate the wonderful life he lived. He brought joy to many over the years. Tony was just as happy turning the roller on Brent's dyno as he was gapping Subarus on the mean streets of Mexico. He was a modest turbo; modest but proud. He didn't boost for the fame. Not for the ad rev. Not for the gram. He boosted because it was his damn job and it's what he did best. Right up until that fateful day at PFI, he made the boosted boiz proud. Be easy Turbo Tony... say hi to Axle Foley for us.

when i used to race in the desert in baja bugs, we would use the stock cv's but would have the cv cages heat treated to a rockwell C38 i think so they wouldn't be so brittle.. keep that axle and rebuild it with a new end or cage for a spare, its not the axle that failing its the cv cage it looked like

We lost 2 members in the turbo civic hatch parts this week. They put in work and sent it to the best of their ability, but the power got the best of them and they finally succumbed to it. Hey, Kyle- you've got the cordless Earthquake for the wheels- find or buy a decent scissor jack, weld a socket onto the forcing screw, that matches your impact drive. Keep it greased well. Throw it in a bag, pair of old garden gloves, a rag, etc. make a "Track Tool bag". Jack your car up in a flash. ONLY for swapping wheels. WAY faster than big heavy floor jack.

I have insane shafts 1000 hp on my H ;) and to correct this integra axle WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!!!! Will not fully clip in need Accord or Prelude inner joint on it. You will be sliding axle in and out when turning and will destroy your diff!!!

The story of many driveline upgrades.... If it makes traction increase, or removes some of the dampening effect (solid engine mounts, harsh clutch, LSD with sticky tires) the next weak link pops up. That cage looks clean as hell on the interior shots though!

The HY is custom shafts for EG/EK/DC to H22. The 1000 is the series, 1000 is the first run so they are old. L5 is level 5 so up to 1000hp basically.

that has a press in hub, so its pretty easy to get a different splined hub to match the axles, but the problem is the bearing. You would likely have to custom order a bearing to fit the stock spindle, or you would have to get custom spindles. It might also be worth the upgrade to 5 bolt or 6 bolt hubs, because once the tires start hooking up with all that power, its gonna start snapping wheel studs.

You can just find some 97-01 Crv front spindles for the hatch. You will obviously have to go 5 lug, but you will be able to use those axles. The Crv 97-01 spindles bolt right up to the ek.

Make sure to change and flush your oil after having a turbo go like that! You could have pieces of the bearings circulating around in there!!!

Do you guys ever think to put effort into wheel alignments? Toe and camber have a pretty big impact on lap times, traction, turn in and top speeds etc, so I assume it would make a positive/negative impact in a drag scenario. Steering wheel all over the place and vibrating on the freeway is what prompts the question.

Gotta put a filter over your new turbo. Something got sucked into the old one, probably some of the shavings from the welds you did before putting in the windshield..

If your 4 lug the hubs you might need will be off an 98-99 Acura 2.3cl, I had to use those on my 90 Accord with prelude rotors and calipers to ditch the captive rotors

Those axles would be the level 3.9 axle you have, we put the same ones on a prelude a few years back. Havent seen those in a few years. The hubs where cheap from what i remember , it was the axles that cost us like $300 .

If driveshaft shaft used axles don't work out. Try some "raxles". I have a set on my volkwagen. It's nowhere near the hatch's power level. But rolling 2nd gear burnouts is my favorite thing and I've done at least 50 over the years and there still perfect. Raxles support hondas and swapped Honda's.
